"Fixed a problem where player dies if vaulting over a ledge and into water while sprinting"

Thank you! I have died so many times while vaulting over 6 inches of rock into water. I don't understand how this got into live in the first place.

Because the beta was used less as a beta, more as a chance to try and sell the game instead of for fixing all the nagging bugs that people pointed out.

Tell me spots on Caspian or Metro that you can vault over objects to then fall into water, that would usually kill you in terms of falling damage.

That beta was a (server) stress test or the later part of the beta testing phase.

So, it's excusable to show people all the bugs your game has, hear the complaints the people have about those bugs, and refuse to fix them before going live, if you say it's just about the servers?

That's never the point of beta testing. We are not their QA, just their server testers.

How did that work out for the servers on launch?

To be honest, I can't really figure out what the point of their "beta" was. Didn't convince non-believers to want it, and if anything pushed millions away from it.

Still no MUTE option?!! Great game, but i think its crazy we don't have the option (on PS3 at least) to mute individuals rather than turning off all chat.

@(Unverified) I believe this is the same on all versions and one of the biggest annoyances. In between games we should be able to customise our load outs or leave the game if we want to.

Here's my favorite tweak!

"Decreased the effectiveness of 12g FRAG ammo when equipped on semi-automatic and automatic shotguns."

Thank God! That crap was insanity. It was like the guys using those, were walking around with automatic, horizontal-firing, mortars!

Funny... I only tried the frag rounds once. Took a shot at a dude almost point blank and ended up doing no damage and getting killed. I dont think I missed either. I felt they were shite and never used them again.

Haven't seen very many people using them an the 360 also.

Not doing it right then.

USAS-12 with Frag rounds is a short ranged killer.

Firing a single round won't do a lot, but it's when someone can pump out those rounds in full auto, it becomes extremely overpowered. The large spray, combined with the increased suppression effect, allows 1 guy to clear a room, without aiming.

It was much more of a problem on close-quarters maps, like Seine Crossing or Op Metro. You could usually flank, and gang up on a guy that was doing it, but once more than a couple players were running around with USAS-12 (w/ 12g FRAG rounds), that was it; game over.

I hate to sound like a sourbag but I thought I the idea of a release date was that stuff like this got sorted out before people owned the game?

example:

'Fixed a problem where player dies if vaulting over a ledge and into water while sprinting' wtf really

its great that patches exist to iron out a tweaks in a game but that list is comical

I think that's BS! They should have done the same as BF2:MC. You can only have 9 land mines out at a time. If you put down #10, the first one laid disappears. Disappearing after you die is STUPID!

You're so right! What's the point of carrying them now!? They're all but useless. A lot of the tweaks sound reasonable, but as a hardcore engineer, I'm SO pissed about this.

Disappearing tank mines, and disappearing spawn beacons (from last update), are kinda of a bummer. Either people will spend each life replacing these items like it's their job, or they'll just stop using them entirely... I fear for the later.

I agree with the point above, about only allowing a certain number of them, and having old ones disappear after placing new ones. Hell, I say allow Claymores to stay alive also, and just allow 1 per user at a time.

Most of things I complained about are being patched up or reworked. I'm also glad that PC version is being patched up really quickly, due to PC advantage of instant updates.
