If only I could get them to switch Cars with Monsters Inc. . . .

@Captaindrek1 They should swap them all for Presto. If ever a cartoon screamed to be made into a Kinect title, it would be that. C'mon Pixar!

Damn, there are better budget games... remember 3D Dot Game Heroes? I wish they made a PSVita port.new game. But middleware comes first I guess :

@Eniko

What does 3D Dot Heroes and the Vita have to do with Kinect and Pixar.

Hey now, Cars was a damn good movie. It was the sequel that sucked the big one.

@Blackbird The problem with Cars is that it just isn't thematically interesting. What I love about every other Pixar film, is that they draw character from where anyone can look and find it. Toys, bugs, comic heroes, robots, rats, monsters, fish... but cars?

They hit their target: young boys. The same young boys that are hooked on Thomas the Tank Engine. Being the only demographic I can think of that could ever look at a motor vehicle and give it a face, a name, and a personality.

@Oddgirl

I can see where you're coming from, but personally, I couldn't care less about what demographic they were aiming for. I thought they did a great job of injecting personalities into the cars, and like every other Pixar movie, the story had a lot of heart. I'm sure boys love it, but I know for a fact that my 6-year old niece loves it too.

Cars is easily my least favorite Pixar film. I don't particularly care too much for Finding Nemo, either, but I do find it quite a bit more enjoyable than Cars. Imo The Incredibles is their best film.

I think Cars 2 was the first Pixar film I did not see in theaters.

Cars was only good in its original form: Doc Hollywood.

A Bug's Life.

The Pixar film that time forgot along with Ratatouille.

Kind of surprised Finding Nemo isn't on there, though. Aren't they still pumping out merchandise for that movie like Cars?

I didn't remember Ratatouille being set in Anor Londo.

"and ... Cars. Well, four out of five ain't too bad."

As a parent of a four year old boy, I can tell you that without Cars in this game it wouldn't even get a second look from my kid. Don't get me wrong, I've exposed him to the other movies, and thankfully he appears to be getting out of his Cars phase (it's basically ages 2.5 to 4.5, from what I gather from all his little buddies), but more than half his wardrobe is Cars still and it's about 1/2 of his playtime, too. They just find talking cars very engaging, and they have such amazing imaginations that they can look past (or never see) the logical flaws of a car-only world and really enjoy the sh*t out of it.

Also, even though I've now watched Cars (and the Mater Car Toons) approximately fifty bajillion times, I still think they are well-crafted and amazing movies. For instance, the gas company (Dinoco) is also the gas company in Toy Story. Also, on the adult-only joke tip, the twin cars that come up to Lightning McQueen after the fist race to get his signature flash him before he says "I love being me" (get it?). That is some classic Pixar right there.

Or perhaps that's Stockholm Syndrome taking over?
