@Hayseboi Every single game that is supported well gets updates after it has been played long enough to get good feedback from the community. Call of Duty's updates come much quicker because they have more monkeys pounding away at it.

Well, can't fault them for trying to keep this thing up and running as opposed to ignoring players' complaints (mw2) for the longest time, and then not proceeding to fix some of them (OMA)?

MW2 never got updates and people complained about Infinity Ward not supporting their product. MW3 gets 6 patches in 6 weeks and people still complain. Amazing.

Hardly any that hamper the amazing experience it gives. Regardless you can't compare a game like MW3 to Skyrim that use completely different mechanics and engines, of course a game like Skyrim is going to have problems, it's huge. I'm not saying MW3 should be perfect, but being that they used the same exact engine for the second one they'd know what to fix before a release. And Skyrim? I've had no problems with the game and I've been playing it daily for hours on end, not everyone has those problems.

I should've known better than to post my opinion on the Joystiq.

Um...interesting.

Right when I finished reading the post, Steam notified me that Modern Warfare 3 has finished downloading update.

Ok, lets replay this one more time. My first time playing this game online a few hours ago wasn't fun at all. I'll give another chance.

"My first time playing this game online a few hours ago wasn't fun at all. I'll give another chance."

Yeah, you're going to have to give it a couple more chances lol. Call of Duty is so competitive online that you know the first couple times you play you're probably not going to do well. Just get familiar with the different strike packages which help a lot & good luck!

PS: For everyone else, I'm aware that it is definitely not cool to like COD but MW3 is a good game. I just finished the campaign which is intense & been playing the hell out of the multiplayer. ITS A GOOD GAME!

Fix for Shotgun's with Extended Mags (Prevents them from shooting more pellets than intended)

=( The shotguns are weak enough already you have to grind out rande and damage to make them passable and even than the Striker is the only good one

Agreed. I usually like shotguns in my FPS but they are close to useless in MW3, as most other weapons will dish out more damage even at close range.

Skyrim however has some slow spots. It's about time to put mw3 and get all frustrated all over again so I can appreciate Skyrim's slow spots.

@Ron Burgundy Taking sniping out completely would probably do the trick. Honestly, I would see no wrong with it. All the maps are quite tiny anyways with lots of cars and other cover in the way making sniping quite crappy to attempt.

@Cletus VanDamme I am in MW3. I don't quickscope, I'm a stationary sniper, so that puts me at a disadvantage. The problem with these maps when it comes to sniping is that there really aren't too many lines of sight where you can take time to line up your target, there is so much cover like chest high walls or vehicles making it very easy for people to move efficiently from cover to cover.

@Oopacsunoo Given that the sniper tends to be a one shot one kill no matter where you hit them in MW3 it doesn't really matter how well you line up the shot.

@carbonize Exactly. When you have snipers running around like ground troops just quick scoping, it becomes a problem.

A sniper doesn't run around unless he's re-positioning, and even then he doesn't run. He's also very stable when shooting. There is no such thing as firing from the hip for a sniper.

Get rid of the quick scope for ALL sniper rifles. It's corny and they have the advantage every time.

@StarcasM the proper fix is to make it so sniper rifles can only be scoped if crouching or going prone. Or just take it out of the game completely as the maps are so small it's a joke to even have snipers in the first place. Battlefield 3 is good for snipers. MW3 not so much.

I second this.

You shouldn't be able to aim down the scope unless you're prone or crouching. It just doesn't make any sense.

Overkill pro. Sniper rifle get used when the opportunity presents itself. No need to quickscope either. Just be smart about when you use it.

@StarcasM dood your comment on the quick scoping is the most lucid comment and is a major problem with MW3. I'm fully aware that it's not a military sim - it's arcade. Like Halo with a military skin. The quick scope sniper biznass is plain ridiculous with that auto aim garbage.

I whole heartedly agree with you. In most cases depending on the game mode and team, a player legitimately using a sniper class suppresses an area at best, and camps at worst; usually marginally contributing to the team. I would love an update that creates sniper-free playlists.

Survival mode is better in Uncharted 3, to be honest. The one in mw3 seems to get old really fast, esp. when enemies always make a beeline to your location.

But "reduce hipspread", that actually sounds like it would make it better? (Like a free steady-aim perk) I hope it won't be nerfed too much because its been my favorite so far. Brought me straight from the bottom of the score ranking to the top when I started using it. :)
