Don´t know... everything looks like crap, specially that character that does an awful lip-sync.

I'm probably more excited for this than any other game coming out in the next few months, I've been craving a good survival experience for awhile now and this looks like it will sate said craving.

Some real suspect lip synching going on in that trailer. This game piqued my interest when it was first announced, but now that Naughty Dog will apparently be horning in on I Am Alive's wheelhouse, I just can't keep up the same level of enthusiasm.
Glad to see this wasn't vaporware though, and I'll be cautiously optimistic up until release--I'd love to love this game.

I predict a sensationalist FOX News report that accuses this game of profiting off of 9/11. Or something like that.

yeah, something like that.... although this time they won´t have that card, remember there is no P.C. version of this game, so i don´t know how they are going to start bitching about their low sales when they release this thing on the "pirate-free" consoles.....I´m sure they´ll have to find another way to bitch about it.

This thing might as well go back to being vaporware now that Naughty Dog's stepping in on the post-apocolypse genre...

Does this game have the same climbing movements like uncharted.

........... This does look interesting but so did From Dust and Ubisoft managed to expertly dash my hopes for that game on the PC.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that some obscure celestial alignment sees this IP sold to another developer.

So much more informative than the last trailer. Nice to see actual gameplay footage as well, thank God its looking less & less like Uncharted.

What a clever way to build an economical graphics engine by covering the world in haze and dust and turning it into a gameplay mechanic.
Or maybe it's just ugly.

i was excited at first when it was going to be huge detailed game in Chicago, now it is only downloadable, and no name urban. I will still play it.
Posted: Dec 16th 2011 5:07PM Milak said
@chunklavins yeah, seriously, why in the hell did they make it "generic urban" instead of using a well known city? Was it to avoid controversy? Was it to avoid having to do the fine detail work needed for landmarks? Was it to try to make it feel less distant for players who haven't been to Chicago? It just doesn't make any sense. I don't know about you guys, but unless the game is sci-fi or fantasy, I like it in a real place, whether or not I'm familiar with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when this game was being hyped a few years ago does anyone else remember it being advertised as "Jade Raymond's next game"? Not that it matters, but I keep thinking about it every time this game's come up.

Im sort of sad of what this game has become... I'm still interested, but certainly not as much as I was 2 years ago, it's been so long and apparently changed a lot

This game still looks interesting, but it looked a whole lot better back when it was a highly ambitious triple A title. I get the feeling we're missing out on more than just graphics from the downgrade to downloadable.

I was picturing this as more of a sole survivor of a disaster sort of thing. Like the I Am Legend flick. What's so special about this dude being alive if there's little kids surviving too?
Title should be "I Am( one of many) Alive."

I am Alive is more like Cormac McCarthy’s The Road minus the kid. The Last of Us is more Richard Matheson's I am Legend only now with a kid (female) and instead of vampire mutants you have fungus mutants. I recommend everyone interested in either of these games to go and read both of these novels from which these games are referencing. They are great short reads.

GAHHHHH!!! WTF did i just watch(don't answer that i know)? This is not the I Am Alive i remember; this is not the I am alive i was interested in. JEEBUS way to dehype your own game :(

Many of the comments in this thread (among countless others) seem to reflect the sad reality of the gaming community these days:
If it's not the best thing ever, it's absolute garbage.
Sometimes it might be worthwhile to look past graphical flaws and poor lip-sync. This game seems to be taking a more "human" approach to the post-apocalyptic survival genre, which isn't a bad thing.
Not to say that the game is guaranteed to be a success. If fact, a lot of signs are admittedly pointing in the other direction. But seeing so many "looks like shit, etc." comments being up-voted reminds me why I often grow tired of even bothering with reviewing the comments on this site.
While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, maybe it's time to wait for a game to be released and judge it on its own merits, instead of immediately writing the game off based on 30 seconds of video.
Can't think of how many great games I would have missed if I didn't look past (sometimes obvious) flaws, and instead took the time to try them out instead.
