Devil May Cry HD Collection confirmed for April 2012

Unleash Dante's raging inferno next year when the Devil May Cry HD Collection arrives April 3, 2012. Capcom confirmed the date today for the bundle, featuring the first three games in the series (including the "special edition" version of DMC 3), and reiterated the game will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 for $39.99.

The package will (naturally) support both Trophies and Achievements, and will include unspecified "bonus content"... like, black hair dye?

I'm on it, though I've never played 2. Is it as crap as they say?

@Jose820 it's not as bad as everyone says, people make it seem like it could be the worse game ever. It just pales in comparison to 1, 3, or 4.

They changed Dante's attitude in DMC2, he's no longer the badass as he was in DMC1. I thought DMC2 was alright but not as good as the original game.

@Art84 - Well, since DMC2 was (chronologically) the last game, Dante did what everyone else does: he grew up.

It's bad mainly because the action is much slower than DMC1 or 3. You'll feel like you are in slow motion after playing 1.

That's great! I've always wanted to play these but to be quite honest its rough going back to games like DMC1 on an HDTV not to sound spoiled. Hopefully they make this more than a reskin like some HD collections and this turns out well.

Now iI can catch up to DmC4 and find out shy everyone is complaining about the awesome looking reboot!

This is good news, but I really just want DMC3. Hopefully they will sell them separately on PSN/XBLA.

It's gonna be pretty awesome! Can't wait to play it again. Looking back, those were the only games I played on the PlayStation.

I hope they put this out at the same time as the new DMC, that way Capcom can shoot themselves in the foot when this sells better than their new turd in gold foil.

This is so pathetic, at this rate we are going to play remakes of Uncharted and Gears of War next gen.

Why not? We're already playing multiple remakes of Sonic, Mario, and even Pac-Man. If they're willing to buy it, they're willing to (re)make it.

So DMC 1,2,3 & the new one will all have trophies but Cap continues to ignore those DMC 4 fans who've been calling for trophy support for over three years. Money grubbing SOBs.

@(Unverified) I think DMC 4 has about the same chance of getting trophies as MGS4 does.

Probably being the only person who hasn't played these game I'm glad this collection is coming out.

I've only played 1 and 4, skipped 2, and did not have a PS2 anymore to play 3. Looking forward to this overall.

On one hand, I'm glad they included the Special Edition of DMC3 in the bundle, playable Vergil was very fun, but on the other hand, the lowered difficulty in the Special Edition makes me disappointed...
But who am I kidding, I am definitely getting the HD Collection.
