They got the story aspects down, just forgot to make the game fun and compelling to non-MMO fans which they claimed to have targeted. It's a boring grindfest from the start.

@Mmmmz Are you stupid? I just want to know because it seems like you went into this game thinking it was going to be a great single player game. I mean seriously it's an MMO it's going to be a grind fest no matter what, you want to know why this game is fun? It's because the it's so story driven that you don't give a crap if your grinding or not because you want to see what happens next. If you don't like it then make sure you read the type of game you're about to purchase.

I played a sith and then switched sides because I felt bad for every freaking decision I made, what other game does that?

@Mmmmz

The story elements completely overshadow the game's more traditional content, I feel. Yeah, I'm getting sent out to kill 8 dudes and click 3 objects, but I'm getting a KOTOR-quality storyline fed to me each time I jump through the hoop. If you were expecting some kind of amazing innovation in terms of gameplay, you never read any of the previews.

@Mmmmz I haven't found myself grinding once and I have 2 characters at 21. Usually the "kill x of creature y" missions are kept to bonus missions that are nothing more than xp boosts and are completely unnecessary. Also, the drop rate for collection quests is pretty high, save for one mission in the Jedi area. Regardless, I've yet to find myself grinding for anything. There are valid complaints against the game, such as the subpar character creator. Grinding isn't one of them.

Now maybe bioware can concentrate on making good ole single player games.

I liked Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2, but the fact that they were B-Team games showed.

@The StainlessSteel Rat - Considering those were made at the main studio in Edmonton whereas SWTOR was made in Austin, I don't see the logic that they were "B-Team games", especially considering that Mass Effect 2 was such an improvement over the original in almost every way.

@The StainlessSteel Rat

I dunno, I loved Mass Effect 2. Even though it was stripped down, it was still a solid game. I felt like they trimmed away the fat from the game, but maybe they just trimmed a bit too much.

DA2 on the other hand WAS inferior. Trying to do what they did to mass effect just didn't work, and maybe I would have liked it just as much as I liked the first or the two mass effect games if they would have at least had the story, characters, and gameplay at the same level of quality. You can do what you want to change it, I don't really care, as long as it's still good.

So far so good. Even though I'm sick, I still found the game to be refreshing and full of promise into the future. New friends to made and places to immersre myself in.

Good bye cruel world!! ...Again.

They need to not make this game, which will devolve like all RPGs into "raid", which just mean running into places and clicking

They said this is KOTOR 3,4,5,6,7,8. Well, your time would have been better spent making those if you want story. MMO by their very nature cannot have story, because everyone is not experiencing the same thing at the same time. And for god's sake:

Asskicking, how hard is it. No turn based crap. I expect Jedi Knight 2 style play in an MMO. It's not hard, and that's the RPG taht star Wars fans want to play. Real action. Judt think, Jedi knight 4, the size of Skyrim.
