I love this game and I have spent many hours playing it on my xbox, but i have to say i am starting to get upset about the lack of support for the console versions of the game. It is great that we get this dlc, but there have been several packs made available for the pc version and as far as i can tell, there does not seem to be any intention of adding any of this for consoles.

Mostly i would like to see them make the patches and gameplay tweaks (i.e. the addition of "superloot"and issues with apprentice towers) available for consoles. From what i have read, PS3 players have it much worse, with issues with freezing and save files getting wiped. I know that they are a small dev and that the console companies (Microsoft for sure, not positive about Sony's policies) make it difficult and expensive to patch games, but it still feels like we are getting left in the dust.

I would just break down and buy it on steam if it wasn't for all the hours i have invested in the xbla version.

Well said; Dungeon Defenders is the best game that I really regret purchasing.

I always support indie developers and understand their tales of woe when it comes to patching (particularly on consoles), but the group behind this one has quickly spent through everyone's goodwill. From lack of communication to releasing paid DLC before patching up HUGE problems, I've lost a great deal of enthusiasm for the game in the past few months. It's a shame too, because at its core it's a lot of fun.

Seriously. Folks should head over to the console section on their forums to get an idea of the BS they've been pulling. Their game is *broken,* (consistently repeatable unavoidable crashing, gamesave corruption, and a bunch of other stuff), and they barely provide any response to the issues, and when they do they just keep passing the buck. And yeah, paid DLC, which doesn't include nearly as much as the PC DLC of the same price, before we've gotten even a single patch (they *claim* the patch will be out in January... what, 3 months after release with gamebreaking bugs?), and the PC is on version 7.xx or whatever. And I know it's easier to patch PC, but Trendy has totally screwed over their console players, despite the admittedly high sales numbers (at least on PSN). *3 MONTHS* with numerous game-breaking bugs. They've also basically said the PS3 probably won't be getting the cross-platform support that they talked about so much prior to release (and which is even still listed, or was listed even up until this week, as a PS3 feature on their FAQ). And the worst part is that DD is a great game. But screw Trendy. They won't be getting any more of my money.

Heck I play it on the PC and that sums up about how I feel about DD perfectly, which is a real shame because it was a lot of fun ~.~

Yeah the PC does get more DLC than the consoles but we also deal with eleven bajillion patches.... so much so that it really started to feel like I wasn't as much playing as I was alpha testing a game.

@That One Guy If you like Borderlands solo, then I'd imagine you'll be fine with this as well. Personally, I couldn't stand playing Borderlands outside of co-op, likewise with Dungeon Defenders.

@That One Guy it's possible to solo this game, but it is a lot more difficult: as you advance through the game, maps become bigger and harder, you need to defend more crystals and you need to be in several places at the same time so mobility really becomes an issue, and you need to be very very smart on your tower placement

Anyways, try it out in co-op, it's quite fun

If you insist on using the PS3 version over the PC version, you could probably do just fine making a squire and soloing your way through the whole game (squire towers are very good on the original build of the game). Add in the ability to swap out to other characters during the build phase and you can pretty much do anything.

As for it being fun solo... well I prefer to play co-op with friends but I do play solo sometimes, it's better than joining a random game.

As others have said, the update support for the console versions is crap due to MS and Sony's restrictions. If your PC can run it, buy it from Steam or Amazon on the cheap and don't look back. I've seen it as low as 3 bucks from them.

I honestly wonder how many people would buy this game if they knew how many problems there are that's been plaguing it since day 1. The amount of bugs and glitches puts Skyrim to shame yet the devs are only interested in putting in more DLC. Hell, even the much touted new DLC classes are nothing but gender swapped clones of existing ones. The latest patch to add more DLC only caused the game to be almost unplayable in terms of stability. Me and my friends are crashing like every 30 minutes, we have items vanish from shops, AND we get locked out of unlocked content for no reason. Yet the devs' response is so unbelievably slow, but I don't expect any changes considering how focused they are at releasing trivial DLC instead of patching things up. A disgrace to all indie developers.

This game is so awesome! I'm overly jealous the PC gets all the awesome DLC. No love for the consoles!

It's still a blast but it's WAY more tedious. You have to do alot of running around, like laps around the maps, before and during the combat phases.

Before Combat you have to make one solid lap collecting 5 cheasts. During Combat, at least during the later levels, you have to constantly run back and forth checking defences.

Still a blast no matter what, but a much more fluid expierence while co-opin'.
