( remembers back to feeding the arcade Quarters for HOTD2 in my junior High Days ) ......... * sigh * arcade games are scarce here now PLEASE BRING HOTD 1+2 TOO PSN ... PLEASE !

@HardBoiled2009

House of The Dead 2 is an unlockable in HOTD 3 is no need for Sega to port it to PSN.

@Art84

It's an unlockable in the CONSOLE version. If they're porting the games in HD, they're going to want to use the arcade version- better assets. Therefore- no HOTD2 in your PSN HOTD3...

>_> still wants HOTD 1 and 2 as well.

Anyone been to an arcade recently? It's pretty sad out there. About 90% of the games are PS2 gen graphics at best.

@Dizazter rar, no one except the big boys want to support arcade machines anymore. owo it's a dying breed. I loved arcades when I was a kid. So many memories opo.

Arcades died when home consoles became cheaper and more widespread. Why spend $20 in quarters to play SF for a day when i can just buy it, and gain the benefits of stuff like online play and be cheaper all around.

@mrantimatter

No, arcades died when they didn't change their business model to fit the popularity of consoles.. They need to offer something you can't get at home.

An arcade just opened about 30 minutes from my house, and they specialize in having everything (old and new... they built cabinets for SSFIVA and MK) and letting you play it all for a flat fee. They also do world record events with Twin Galaxies.

The old arcade is dead. The problem is, no one is willing to try anything new.

I thought HOTD 1 & 2 were released to consoles already? On the Nintendo Wii, if I remember correctly... I'll have to check and see when I get home.

@bigwhiteyeti

Well there are successful ventures like Dave & Buster's and Gameworks, which combine the arcade and ticket games with a bar and restaurant.

But the games there are stuck in a time warp.

As long as I can get my dual-wielding action going on in HotD4. The UZIs that you had in the arcade were perfect for dual-wielding action, unlike HotD3's shotguns (for obvious reasons). I'm actually legitimately excited for this news.

You know what... I don't ever do HD ports... But since I can't get a HOTD machine in my house I may have to pick these up.

While I enjoyed HOTD:OVERKILL (a lot!), HOTD4 was long overdue.

Finally! They are releasing #4! I've been waiting forever for them to do this.

I've played 2 and 3 way too many times, always waiting for 4 to appear. The only place I got to play 4 was on family vacation in Las Vegas at the GameWorld Sega Arcade under M&M world.

I wonder - will HoTD4 include the prequel special edition story that was featured on the HoTD 4 Ride?

Would have bought HOTD4 in an instant to play on a friend's PS3 if was not a digital only release. Oh well, might be for the best, though, as I was never able to get past the first boss in the arcade version.

I'm so glad I got a PS Move, there are plenty of good Move games coming out on both disc and PSN. :-)

HOTD 4? With Move support?

Well I'll be. Sony finally found a way to get me to buy one of the damn things. I was going to get a bluetooth stereo headset next, but I guess I'll have to change my plans...

I remember a friend and I spending around $23 combined or so to beat HotD 4 ($1 a pop...yeah, I am not great at games, but it was fun.) in an arcade within driving distance from our old job and remembering how awesome it was. I may go ahead and download that one since I still own 2 & 3 for the Wii. Now if Sega can port the Jurassic Park arcade game to Wii, Wii U, and/or PS3, (sorry 360, but I'm not getting a kinnect or using a traditional controller to play this game) they will so have money on day 1. I do remember trying a demo of one of mini games in Wii Play Motion and it had a kid-like version of the first level of JP and after that, I kept thinking "come on Sega. Port this already."
