Armored Core is my favorite broken, awful Japanese franchise. They usually miss the mark of greatness by so much, but building and piloting mechs is always too fun.

Yay! I'm not sure I've finished an AC game in awhile... I Remember one of them being upsettingly short since all the previous ones were super long. Maybe that was AC4 and thats why I've since lost my copy and put it out of my memory... was AC4 short?

@Grimbear13 Yes it was like 5 hours long or something, really short.

i think Microsoft really messed up when they decided not to continue any of their cool games from last gen. how great would a sequel to Crimson Skies be? but what i would love even more would be a current gen version of Mech Assault. a game that has always been more about action and destruction with badass mechs than customizing every single aspect of said mechs.

i'm really interested to see how From Software handles the newest Steel Battalion. here they have a game with one of the most complex controllers of last gen, and Microsoft wants them to turn it into a Kinect game somehow....hmmmm

Hopefully, FROM's name means more to gamers now after Demon's and now Dark Souls.

I just hope more people give my favorite mech-game a try. I always saw it as the "Gran Turismo" of mech-games with all those parts.

Anyone know if they will allow save transfers like AC4a? I still have my mechs from the original AC4 :3

I so wish more games took advantage of that feature. Nothing like taking your bad-ass AC (or any previously created char for that matter) and opening a can in a whole new setting.

I agree about the GT reference. In fact, i was super disappointed when I booted up GT1 for the first time and didn't see fully modeled car parts whn modifying vehicles. I know, that sounds ridiculous but AC set the bar so high for customization

Man, I LOVED this game even way back when the controls were.... questionable at best (anyone remember pressing L/R2 to look up/down? LOL). But once you actually knew what you were doing when contstructing and pilotingan AC, nothing could match it.

I havent been into armored core since 2. I thought about getting back into it with 4, then didnt when its dismal reviews came out. Hopefully AC5 will be a good game, and I can get back into some mech action.

The original Armored Core was my favourite game on the PS1, even above FFVII. I just had so much fun building mechs and doing the missions. I didn't get back into it until AC4, which seemed to lack the fun for whatever reason but AC:For Answer was a little back to what made the original great and it still has one of the best looking opening FMVs seen in any game. I'm optimistic for AC5.
