You all cried, "Oh no! MORE Sales news? This is boring I want 'real' news!"

And joystiq heard your cry. And decided to follow that cry with more Sales News! :D

While I am a bit of an Xbox fan I really am glad to see them succeed in the console industry when they came in 11 years ago with so much doubt. They had a rocky start and still at times stumble along the way.

However, no matter what type of fan you are in the gaming market you have to remember competition is always a good thing. Each console that came out in the gaming industry has brought something new and inventive in the gaming market. We wouldn't be at the great level we are at now it if wasn't for competition.

Congrats MS

Congrats, 360. You earned it through always delivering good stuff time after time.

Splendid console.

Who's freaking out. The psp did the same thing. Which has alway had the same problem to contend with...... It's a gameboy world and it seems it always will be. Last go round it was that and slow lineup of games trickling out. Now u got smartphone and tablet gaming to contend with as well

I enjoy news of companies in gaming succeeding. It means gaming is still here and don't plan on going away.

Xbox is my console of choice. I remember when people were saying it was going to be the next Dreamcast. I'm glad to see Xbox doing well.

@Wise Men

Whats funny is in many ways it is the spiritual successor to the Dreamcast. However, its got the ability to keep going and didn't die so young.

*Lights lighter for the Dreamcast*

The dreamcast was so ahead of it's time in some ways and others so behind.

Joystiq how about publishing an article saying you were wrong when you posted that xbox earned 10 millions? You have become so unreliable and untrusted website.

@Tristan77 how are they wrong? that 10 million was for the entire holiday season worldwide, not for the month of December in the US. just give it a rest. all the consoles did well. enough said.

@Tristan77 You talk about unreliable and untrustworthy then link to the forums of the laughing stock of 'sales figures' websites.

Good one.

@Tristan77 LOL everyone knows that VGC is a highly unreliable site, take anything posted there with a grain of salt. It is also funny that you posted the link to the article with no replies.. that actual post has replies countering the post. Go troll elsewhere.

@tehtimeisnow That should read: Microsoft's Xbox 360 is making more money than Sony? That's no surprise... They're better!!

You would probably be better off not saying anything at all. Ever. Tard.

It was a dominating year for the Xbox...what will 2012 bring...dunno, but hopefully, more games on Xbox, and less TV deals.
