So does that mean Night Springs is a full sequel?

@TheDarkWayne

This is Night Springs, or what it was.

@TheDarkWayne

I've heard the developers say it's a spin-off and not a direct sequel.

That's about perfect. It's nice to have some full games with shorter campaigns to counterbalance the larger ones. I just don't have the time for 20+ hour campaigns hardly any more.

Plus, any new Alan Wake is great.

@ItsameMatt03

I don't get what caused me to get downvoted? The fact that I like that it's a short campaign?

I'm sorry, but I work 50 hour weeks and I have a family with a baby on the way, a house to take care of, and a lot of other obligations like worship and bible study.

I don't have the time to complete epic games hardly any more. I have a huge back catalog that is unfinished, and many probably will never be. It's nice to see a game that I will actually have the time to probably complete.

I'll definitely pick this up.

It's shocking, I just repurchased a 360 after a four year hiatus. and NONE of my friends have even played the first one. not one. Sometimes I just don't know about them.

Length= No correlation with quality.

Size. It doesn't matter.

@Kyizen You have a point. A good one, at that. But length, size...it was never a primary selling feature for Alan Wake. As long as it tells a shiny-good story, that will suffice.

Wow, I do not like that new Elder Gods song at all. I mean, I'm not into the 70's Ozzy Osbourne thing they had going in the game, but at least that is an interesting quirk for the characters.

This new song sounds like everything else you'd find on modern rock radio. No personality.

Part of the charm in the first one was that they took time to establish the characters, setting and mood before everything goes to hell. You had the boat ride, visiting the diner, talking to the sheriff, visiting your cabin for the first time. It made you care about the characters and feel isolated in this rural town. I hope having a shorter version doesn't screw the pacing up.

Really, I just want more Barry. Gotta love an over weight New Yorker in a bright red parka lighting fools up both figuratively and physically.

Loved Alan Wake, but I sold my 360, so I won't get to play this. Here's hoping they port this to the PC like they are the original.

@Dionkey

If you go to the game's page, it says Xbox LIVE Arcade, Xbox 360, and PC.

Here is hoping as well.

@xiLeShadow I really want to play Alan Wake again but the only thing I'm buying for the 360 has either Gears or Halo in the title, everything else is on my PC or PS3.

What if Halo 4 comes out on PC?

@Dionkey It's a bit premature asking for a PC version when, the first AW hasn't even arrived yet on it. The fate of AN arriving on PC will more than likely be determine by how well the first AW performs .

@xiLeShadow Seeing as how the last five Halo titles haven't, I'd tell him not to hold his breath. Who said anything about Halo 4?

Along with the Fight till Dawn mode and replayability from difficulty levels/ collectibles, that's a pretty spot on length.

No one will probably ever read this, but I have to say it. "Till" is already a word, and it's not the abbreviation of "until," which is " 'til " - with the apostrophe.
