Interesting that they are still releasing this on XBox Live, given the Microsoft controls. Is it anything like the internet-enabled PC version or something that just uses the name but is not quite the same?

@Space Cobra
I thought it was the same game. just on a server for xbox live, and with all the latest updates and patches in there. oh and most likely not as "free" as on the PC

I also thought it was coming out last summer?? le sigh. I haven't been on my characters in DFO so long I've almost forgotten how remorseful I once was for buying anything in that cash shop.

A fun game though. If I didnt promise to give away my 360 I would most likely have added this to the 'ol collection.

Is this an Xbox MMO like the PC or is it a linear storyline using the gameplay?

The gist from this article: nothing's been confirmed yet. From the trailer,I'm guessing it's going to be similar to Castle Crashers, Scott Pilgrim, etc... That kind of multiplayer.

The only reason I haven't played this game yet, it's because it's restricted to the US and Canada only. ¬_¬

I only see three classes. Male Slayer, Female Fighter, and Male Gunner. Hopefully they'll be up to date by launch.

Coming from a guy who regularly plays DFO, this looks like a major dumbed down version

I was thinking it looked more like the F2P game Rusty Hearts.

Looks cool. I'd play it. It reminds me of the Capcom D&D arcade games. Man, I really wish Capcom would quit being cheap and pony up whatever licensing fees Wizards of the Coast want so they could re-release those games.

@baddates77

I think I hate D&D more for that, honestly. I firmly believe that if you release a game, as soon as the contract is done, you are free of whatever licensing fees are there. You can make the most amazing game based on an existing IP, but this constant milking of licensing fees is absolutely insane.

I'm sure games like SWG would still be running if it weren't for these insane licensing fees... If someone pays out the nose for the license, and the game exists, LET THEM RE-RELEASE IT. They created it, they worked lovingly on it. The D&D Arcade Games were some of the best games created. Better than that trash that just got released, like Daggerdale.

I completely forgot about this. I am now excited again. The PC version is a pretty good game too!

I'll buy this game for the soundtrack alone if the music in this video is any indication of what the soundtrack will be like. I was too busy enjoying the music to pay much attention to anything else.
