3rd season of "Lords and Ladies", here I come!

@Nofriendo You catch that reference to Lords and Ladies in GTAIV? Playboy X was defending himself for paying Niko to do something trivial, I think, and he said, "I'm a lord, not a lady".

The 360-degree rotating on the ground is amazing and ought to be in every shooter that has prone.

Most people don't realize that the 360-degree ground shooting actually made it's first appearance (That I'm aware of. Please correct me if I'm wrong.) in Dead to Rights: Reckoning for the PSP. In fact, it looks like Max is borrowing a couple moves from Jack Slate. I believe I saw some Disarm mechanics in there as well. Love a good bit of irony. lol The game looks great. Can't wait!

@nerdquest Stranglehold was vastly underrated, IMO... not the best game, but I enjoyed it--especially as a Woo fan.

You could spin while on the ground in Max Payne 2 if you had a machine gun while still firing.

You could do the same in Max Payne 2; this isn't new. What is new is that they have a nice rolling animation in this one.

God, I wish more third-person games had such beautiful animations.

Oh I get it! Because in the Max Payne games you spend a lot of time diving around! It's a play on words!

Well, am I the only one not seeing innovations worth mentionning if compared to MP1 and MP2?
I mean the game looks fun but old. Might give it a rental to clear the +/- 5h campaign but that is it.
Or maybe I missed something related to this game lately?

You're right, but the last one was released about 9 years ago.. In 9 years video game design evolved a lot so I would've expected more from Rockstar.
But I missed the fact that there will be multiplayer in it, so only that justify the replayability and the possible innovation (if they can pull a good multiplayer it is).
Anyway, no chances I buy this one since Diablo 3 is around the corner (or 2 corners away).

@rezhoner That sounds like a good thing to me, I enjoyed MP1+2 immensely so I am pretty sure I will also enjoy MP3.So called innovations sometimes change experiences and make sequels a different animal from their predecessors. Maybe some games need that but MP series doesn't, it just needs some better graphics than 1+2 and a good story and I will be happy.

I like how he actually eats the pills now.
Also, he could do that 360 degree aiming on the floor in Max Payne 2.

Love how rockstar does these narrated trailers. a real awesome way to show the game off.
GTA V please copy and paste this combat system, minus the bullet time as that belongs to payne.

Does this mean there's a chance GTA 5 is going to be pushed back too? Not that they even gave a release date yet, but I was hoping for a release in the Fall.

I don't care if the last game was 20 years ago! This game looks fluid! Not to say that the previous titles weren't, but Max Payne for me was always about the darkeness to the game, character, story and how it played. The bullet time was an excellent feature which helps you "pin-point" where you want to shoot like Fallouts "V.A.T.S" system.
The graphics, the colours, animation and delivery of this game looks like it will be a good 9yrs wait, well spent. Especially if the multiplayer pl;ays very well.
Needless to say, I'm amped!
