Catch Mewtwo in Pokemon White and Black starting on Feb. 12

It was hard for us to trust Pokémon again after Gold and Silver came out. We had spent years learning every minute detail about the original 151, and suddenly all of that work and devotion was worthless? What's more, it needed repeating with 100 more Pokemon? We may have been young tykes, but we were old enough to feel broken.

Regardless, the Kanto Pokemon still hold a special place in our hearts, and it's endearing to see one of the most awesome monsters in the OG Pokedex coming back into the fold. Starting on February 12, Mewtwo (#150 for you whippersnappers out there) will be distributed to Pokémon White/Black via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service "for a limited time."

Further information about the event is forthcoming, but we do know that the legendary clone comes packing "an exclusive move that Mewtwo cannot normally learn," which we're hoping is an ability that takes us back to the days of the PokeRap and Team Rocket's original voice actors.

Don't forget the days where Team Rocket were more comical villain relief and part time heroes, instead of the horribly cliched "dark villains" they are now.

To be fair, they are still after "dat picatchoo". I honestly preferred how they were in Diamond/Pearl (the prior series) over Black/White.

@Dante G I used to like vgcats a lot, but when I look at his stuff now with a mind that's not halfway through high school, so much of it just seems so pointlessly crass. One comic fairly recently involved an aborted fetus, if I remember right.

Exclusive move? It's probably going to be V-Create. That's their go to "Move that this Pokemon cannot learn normally".

It is, they had this news up on Serebii a while ago.

According to Serebii, it is the same one Japan got last year.
Its exclusive moves are Psystrike, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere, Electro Ball, and it is at level 70. Normally, Mewtwo learns Psystrike at level 100, and can't normally learn Electro Ball.

That's slightly more original than slapping V-Create on it.

I use to love Pokemon as a kid, but catching them all & catching shinys was hard on my OCD. Learning about IVs & EVs killed Pokemon for me. I had to get rid of it before it drove me insane.

@Saiyan26 Got around 200 hours into black version before learning that you can't EV train pokemons at lvl 100 -_-.

Wow lol. I'm glad I quit. I remember when I tried a friend's Pokemon Platinum, I started a new game and got a shiny Turtwig on the first try. He was spazzing because he didn't know if he should overwrite his save (he had just beaten the game), because he never caught a shiny before.

Haha, I learned that in the middle of playing Emerald. Imagine the hastle of trying to get perfect IVs for a legendary. By the end of the game Pokemon had lost all its fun and just became an insane obsession to get perfect stats for all my Pokemon. I had to get rid of it for my sanity.

@Wizardsofwaverly You CAN EV train at level 100 in Gen V.
It was only Gen IV & III that counted EV points on level up

Seems like a lot to remember when it comes to pokemon, i thought it was just the monster types and what the strengths an weaknesses are.

Yeah but it's no worse than any other MMO. I quit because the game became too mathy and time consuming for me (again like an MMO), if you are gonna compete you gotta have perfect stat monsters.

MewTwo was always my favorite. I'll definitely be getting him then.

Caught one in HeartGold, but I certainly wouldn't mind having another. I thought there was going to be a way to get Arcaeus (or however you spell it) in B/W.

Haven't played a Pokemon game in over a decade. I think the last one played was Diamond.

Psystrike time?
Too bad I've become completely overburdened by Pokemons play style. I no longer want to go through the childish and repetitive plot I just want to have all the pokemon i want just show up in my box so i can fight with them.

And it's a 150 or more to see, to be a pokemon master is me destinyyyy!
