The Wii U's complete TVii service
is set to launch in December, but some of the programs within it are already dropping onto the console. Netflix
hit on launch day (with a rocky, yet resolved
start), and now YouTube and Amazon Instant Video are on the Wii U.
With the YouTube app, videos can stream up to 1080p on the television, while the video details stay on the Wii Pad. Browsing uses the Pad's on-screen keyboard. Amazon Instant uses the same browsing method and can stream video directly on the Wii Pad. Both apps are free to download directly from the Wii U menu.
