	<img alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/pacgalaga.jpg" style="width: 576px; height: 324px;" /></div>
It turns out there is a (previously undocumented) way to erase save data in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/pac-man-and-galaga-dimensions"><em>Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions</em></a> on the 3DS, despite <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/27/pac-man-and-galaga-dimensions-save-files-are-permanent-unable-to/">reports to the contrary</a> last week. It's a bit more complicated than simply diving into the options menu. Upon start-up, players can input the command "ABXYLR," which will wipe the save data from the cartridge. <br />
<br />
"There has been a miscommunication at our level," a Namco Bandai representative told <a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-02-pac-man-3ds-does-let-you-delete-saves">Eurogamer</a> today. "Thanks for your understanding." The rep then shouted "Aye bee ex why el arrr" and vanished in a cloud of smoke.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/pac-man-and-galaga-3ds-save-data-can-be-erased-after-all/">Pac-Man and Galaga 3DS save data can be erased after all</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Aug 2011 12:00:00 EST. Though still not announced for release in North America, Namco Bandai's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/pac-man-and-galaga-dimensions">first</a> (of what will likely be many) iterations of <em>Pac-Man </em>and<em> Galaga</em> on 3DS has already gotten more attractive. The latest issue of <em>Famitsu</em> reports that, in addition to newfangled gyroscope-controlled versions of the two classics, <em>Pac-Man &amp; Galaga Dimensions</em> will include <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/pac-man-championship-edition"><em>Pac-Man Championship Edition</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/galaga-legions"><em>Galaga Legions</em></a>, plus the original arcade versions of <em>Pac-Man</em> and <em>Galaga</em>.<br />
<br />
The arcade ports will make use of the 3DS's autostereoscopic effect to create the illusion of looking down on the original coin-op machines -- though purists can always turn down the 3D slider, we assume. Players will also be able to choose between multiple cabinet variants. Of course, this will all seem quaint when we're writing about the seventh repackaging of <em>Pac-Man</em> and <em>Galaga</em> for 3DS four years from now.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/30/pac-man-and-galaga-dimensions-packs-in-championship-edition-legio/">Pac-Man &amp; Galaga Dimensions packs in Championship Edition, Legions</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 30 Mar 2011 17:30:00 EST. Namco is trying again with<em> Namco Museum Megamix</em> -- sort of. In fact, many of the remixed games in this collection are the same as in the previous collection, judging from the materials released. The <em>Galaga Remix</em> seen in the screenshots is the same "defend Pac-Man" rail shooter seen in the 2007 game, and <em>Pac-Motos</em> and <em>Pac-n-Roll Remix</em>, described in the press release, was also present. That's right, Namco has now taken to re-releasing its remakes.<br />
<br />
The Megamix adds at least one new rearrangement: <em>Grobda Remix</em>, based on a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grobda">shmup</a> you're forgiven for now knowing about. It'll also feature original (read: <em>good</em>) versions of <em>Pac-Man, Mappy, Rally-X, Galaga</em>, and more. <em>Megamix</em> will be out in November.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-megamix-wii/">Namco Museum Megamix (Wii)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-megamix-wii/#3330096"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/09/namcomegamix931001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-megamix-wii/#3330098"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/09/namcomegamix931002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-megamix-wii/#3330099"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/09/namcomegamix931003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-megamix-wii/#3330100"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/09/namcomegamix931004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-megamix-wii/#3330101"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/09/namcomegamix931005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/03/namco-remakes-arcade-classics-again-in-wiis-namco-museum-megami/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Namco remakes arcade classics again in Wii's Namco Museum Megamix</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/03/namco-remakes-arcade-classics-again-in-wiis-namco-museum-megami/">Namco remakes arcade classics again in Wii's Namco Museum Megamix</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 03 Sep 2010 18:00:00 EST. Japan's <em>Namco Museum Essentials</em> is crossing the pond to America's PlayStation Network this July. The downloadable app will serve as a hub for various Namco arcade games, such as <em>Pac-man</em>, <em>Galaga</em>, <em>Dig Dug</em>, <em>Dragon Spirit</em>, <em>Xevious</em>, and a new 1080p "re-envisioned" <em>Xevious: Resurrection</em>. In addition to the standard gamut of features (trophies, leaderboards), players will be able to unlock PlayStation Home rewards to proudly display in their virtual apartments.<br /><br />Namco Bandai will also be launching a new destination within PlayStation Home simultaneously with the release of <em>Museum Essentials</em>. It will serve as the hub for all of Namco Bandai's upcoming downloadable games and will include a virtual arcade featuring a trial version of <em>Museum Essentials</em>. In addition to the free demo, PlayStation Home items can be unlocked for those who visit the space. All in all, it looks as though Home fans (casual and hardcore) will have a lot to look forward to.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-essentials/">Namco Museum Essentials</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-essentials/#2090300"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/2009-06-17_15-07-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-essentials/#2090299"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/2009-06-17_15-12-57_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-essentials/#2090298"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/2009-06-17_15-10-00_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-essentials/#2090297"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/2009-06-17_15-09-46_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-essentials/#2090296"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/2009-06-17_15-09-43_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/17/namco-museum-essentials-coming-to-playstation-home-in-july/">Namco Museum Essentials coming to PlayStation Home in July</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 17 Jun 2009 18:05:00 EST. The trailer after the break features footage from <span style="font-style: italic;">Arrangement</span>.<br /><br />Both games will be playable in one of three control schemes: virtual directional buttons, a sliding-based method, and tilting. According to <a href="http://toucharcade.com/2009/04/01/namcos-galaga-remix-heading-to-the-app-store/">Touch Arcade</a>, the game "will arrive in the App Store any day now and will be priced at $5.99." <span style="font-style: italic;">This</span> is what we want out of high technology: the ability to buy and play super-old games whenever we feel like it. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://appgamer.net/news/2009/apr/2/galaga-remix-finds-new-home-iphone/">AppGamer</a>]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/02/iphone-fires-energy-beam-captures-galaga-remix/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>iPhone fires energy beam, captures Galaga Remix</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/02/iphone-fires-energy-beam-captures-galaga-remix/">iPhone fires energy beam, captures Galaga Remix</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 Apr 2009 11:17:00 EST. Before he was a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/30_Rock">thorn in Tina Fey's side</a> as the Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming at GE, Alec Baldwin was something of a sot, spending much of the '80s in a haze of "sex, drugs, booze." And when it came to sobering up, it wasn't coffee that was his drug of choice. It was <em>Galaga</em>, though we imagine blurred vision kept him from ever putting in his initials.<br /><br />Baldwin writes in the book "Moments of Clarity" that evenings of debauchery would often end in a warehouse with him playing the arcade classic into the morning. "This was the only way I could go 'beta' and go into that state I needed to be, where I could calm down and take my mind off everything," recalled the actor, who confessed that God got him sober. And while the <em>30 Rock </em>star oddly describes the deity as a "65-year-old retired postal worker named Lenny," we still like to think that the Galagans played their part.<br /><br />

If you remix something once, you're edgy, willing to let two styles careen into each other and just ride the resulting wave to cash and fame. If you remix something twice? Well, that's just a bit too much for our conservative Baptist upbringing, unless you've got mad, Puff Daddy (P. Diddy?)-level skills ... or you work for Namco Bandai, apparently. The same team that crafted a bold, fresh take on <em>Galaga</em> this year with <em>Galaga Legions </em>says it's itching to take yet another bolder, fresher look at the franchise.<br />
<br />
As producer Nobutaka Nakajima told Gamasutra, "Because there are so many different ways of taking the <em>Galaga</em> franchise and many different aspects that could be created into the core fundamentals of the game, we do want to look at <em>Galaga</em> again." Sounds great, but could you maybe remix a few other classic franchises before you get into a rut with one? <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbhglXh61XA">Hint, hint</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/03/galaga-legends-team-wants-another-shot/">Galaga Legions team wants another shot</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Dec 2008 09:00:00 EST. This week it's time for <em>Galaga </em>to make a comeback. We're talking about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/galaga-legions"><em>Galaga Legions</em></a> of course. Created by the same team that transformed <em>Pac-Man</em> into <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pac-man-ce"><em>Pac-Man Championship Edition</em></a>, <em>Galaga Legions</em> takes the original <em>Galaga</em> formula and expands upon it, making an old game feel new again. The only question, especially given the quality we've seen this month, is whether or not it feels new enough. Check out the latest episode of XBLA in Brief to find out.<br />

From the people who brought you <em>Pac-Man: Championship Edition</em> comes another arcade classic remake to the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/XBLA">Xbox Live Arcade</a>. Asking 800MS points from your digital wallet, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Galaga-Legions/">Galaga Legions</a></em> is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Initial reactions to the game peg it as a mixture of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Geometry-Wars/">Geometry Wars</a></em> and <em>Pac-Man: CE</em> and if either of those comparisons are accurate then the Xbox Live Arcade could have itself another winner from Namco Bandai.<br />

Hey kids, just a quick reminder that this week's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/xbox-live-arcade">Xbox Live Arcade</a> game is none other than <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/galaga-legions"><em>Galaga Legions</em></a>. Created by the same team that reinvented the <em>Pac-Man</em> formula for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pac-man-ce"><em>Pac-Man CE</em></a>, <em>Galaga Legions</em> adds significant changes to the <em>Galaga</em> formula while still retaining the feel of the original. We <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/e308-hands-on-galaga-legions/">had a chance to play it at E3</a> last month and we were definitely impressed. Priced at 800 Microsoft Points, <em>Galaga Legions</em> <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/g/galagalegionsxboxlivearcade/">will hit XBLA this Wednesday</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/18/reminder-galaga-legions-swarms-xbla-this-week/">Reminder: Galaga Legions swarms XBLA this week</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 18 Aug 2008 12:30:00 EST. If you're one of the few that's already in the <em>Home</em> beta, you may have already experienced the underwhelming virtual arcade, located in the Games Space within <em>Home</em>. The new version being released for Japan will expand the arcade offerings, and the new choices look yummy. Namco Bandai is offering seven games within <em>Home</em>, with four revealed already: <em>Dig Dug</em>, <em>Galaga</em>, <em>Pac-Man</em> and <em>Xevious</em>. Three more "secret" games will be revealed later.<br />
<br />
More intriguing, a 2D <em>Home</em>-exclusive version of <em>echochrome</em> can also be accessed from within <em>Home</em>. With more and more game offerings being added to the online service, we're confident that everyone will want to access the virtual world at least once -- if only to play these games.<br />

Sony has begun accepting applications for the next beta phase of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/home"><em>Home</em></a> ... in Japan. PS3 users can put their names in the hat (from which 10,000 will be chosen) directly from a new option in the Japanese PlayStation Store. Successful applicants will be notified via email before the beta officially kicks off at the end of August.<br /><br />In related news, classic arcade games from Namco are showing up as virtual coin-ops in the Japanese <em>Home</em> client. <em>Pac-Man</em>, <em>Dig Dug</em>, <em>Galaga</em>, and <em>Xevious</em> have been rolled out so far, with three "secret" titles still on the way. It's interesting to note that <em>Home</em> users - at least in the beta - can play these games for free, whereas they are paid downloads on Xbox Live Arcade. We'll have to wait and see if this holds true for <em>Home</em> games from Namco and other publishers in the open beta (which is <em>supposed</em> to hit <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/03/home-coming-this-year-as-open-working-beta/">by year's end</a>).<br /><br /><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/31/sony-begins-accepting-playstation-home-beta-applications/">Source</a> - Engadget<br /><a href="http://www.siliconera.com/2008/07/31/namco-arcade-games-become-playstation-home-arcade-games/">Source</a> - Siliconera<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/31/japanese-home-beta-opens-adds-namco-classics/">Japanese Home beta opens, adds Namco classics</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 31 Jul 2008 15:50:00 EST. During our guided demo of Microsoft's upcoming stable of XBLA games, Microsoft's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/16/microsofts-scott-austin-talks-xbox-delisting-and-delays/">Scott Austin</a> informed us that all the games on display would be available in the next four to six weeks on Xbox Live Arcade. All of 'em. If you've been reading the impressions on Joystiq, you'll know that this a reason to be excited. For the record, the XBLA games being shown by Microsoft are:<br />
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/24/bionic-commando-rearmed-multiplayer-video-blowout/"><em>Bionic Commando Rearmed</em></a></li>

We expected Microsoft to show off some cool XBLA games at E3, but we weren't expecting four to six weeks of <em>win</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/castle-crashers-galaga-legions-more-on-xbla-in-4-6-weeks/">Castle Crashers, Galaga Legions, more on XBLA in 4-6 weeks</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Jul 2008 19:00:00 EST. There's really no way to get around this, so here it is: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/galaga-legions"><em>Galaga Legions</em></a> might as well be called <em>Galaga Championship Edition</em>. It's made by the same <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Namco/">Namco</a> team that made <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pac-man-ce"><em>Pac-Man Championship Edition</em></a> and it achieves the same success: reinventing an arcade classic and making it relevant again. At the same time, it is definitely still <em>Galaga</em> in much the same way that <em>Pac-Man CE</em> is still <em>Pac-Man</em>. It's new, it's classic, it's pretty. Period.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/e308-hands-on-galaga-legions/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>E308 hands-on: Galaga Legions</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/e308-hands-on-galaga-legions/">E308 hands-on: Galaga Legions</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Jul 2008 18:15:00 EST. Holy crap is this the most awesome DS game! Seriously, when JC was talking up the title, I trusted the man's judgment, but he couldn't possibly prepare me for how utterly great the DS game is. And when I met up with the folks at Marvelous here at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/e308">E3</a> to try out their titles, I had no idea that they were going to have to physically pull me away from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/16/game-center-cx-in-loving-detail/"><span style="font-style: italic;">Retro Game Challenge</span></a>.<br /><br />Lucky for me, I have a good grip. So I get plenty of play time with what is sure to be one of my favorite DS games this year.<br /><br /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/e308-ds-fanboy-enters-the-retro-game-challenge/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>E308: DS Fanboy enters the Retro Game Challenge</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/17/e308-ds-fanboy-enters-the-retro-game-challenge/">E308: DS Fanboy enters the Retro Game Challenge</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Jul 2008 14:15:00 EST. Who knew <em>Pac-Man: Championship Edition</em> would be so good? The surprise XBLA hit has inspired yet another modern Namco remake, <em>Galaga: Legions</em>. <em>Legions</em> will arrive exclusively on XBLA, and will come from the same team that brought us <em>Pac-Man: CE</em>. Expect the same kind of visual redesign and addictive retro gameplay. With this and <em>Space Invaders Extreme</em> (DS/PSP), the retro shooter is back in full force.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/14/galaga-legions-goes-to-xbla-from-pac-man-ce-team/">Galaga: Legions goes to XBLA, from Pac-Man CE team</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 Jul 2008 13:41:00 EST. If you're like us, the arcade shooter <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/galaga">Galaga</a> </em>is probably sitting on your Xbox 360's hard drive gathering virtual dust. Even so, that doesn't mean Namco-Bandai won't jump at the chance to try squeeze a few more Microsoft Points out of the old girl. Now, according to a posting by the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbskontrolle (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/usk/">USK</a>), the German version of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/esrb/">ESRB</a>, it looks like the publisher could be doing just that with a new title called <em>Galaga Legions</em>.<br />
<br />
We know next to nothing about the game beyond the fact that it's a shooter, but that hasn't stopped speculation that Namco-Bandai, the publisher behind cherished arcade re-imagining <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pacman"><em>Pac-Man: CE</em></a>, could be giving the same treatment to another classic quarter muncher. The notion makes us giddy -- our hard drives can always use more quality games. It's the fodder for future <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/22/underperforming-xbla-titles-to-be-delisted/">delisting</a> that we can do without.<br />

The classic top-down shooter <em>Galaga</em> is already on the Live Arcade is one form, and as this news attests, we'll definitely be seeing it again in another form. Published by Namco-Bandai (who also did <em>Pac-Man: CE</em> for XBLA), it <a href="http://www.xblah.net/2008/05/ratings-watch-galaga-legions-shows-up.html">has been speculated</a> that this new <em>Galaga Legions </em>will be a well-done revamp in the vein of Namco-Bandai's previous effort.<br />
<br />
Given <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/22/ms-confirms-no-spring-update-a-drm-fix-and-an-xbla-restructurin/">all the news</a> surrounding the relevancy of titles for the Live Arcade, is a possible revamp of a 1981 old-school arcade title that is already on XBLA in another form a good decision for MS? While it is true that the XBLA version of the original isn't <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/26/list-of-potentially-de-listed-arcade-titles/">up for delisting</a>, it isn't exactly the star of the service. What do you think readers? Does <em>Galaga Legions </em>sound interesting?<br />

I checked out <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/namcomuseum"><em>Namco Museum Remix</em></a> at PAX (there was not a line at any point for this game), hoping to play the weirdo <em>Galaga</em> interpretation and all the other new games on the disc. I expected to be either put off or unimpressed by everything but the <em>real </em>classic arcade games, but ... well, I have a confession to make, and I'm not sure how you guys are going to take it. <br /><br />I really enjoyed <em>Gator Panic Remix,</em> for reasons I can't fully explain. I <em>shouldn't</em> have enjoyed it as much as I did. It's a simple Whack-a-Mole style game, which is an obvious fit for the Wiimote. However, instead of just <em>whacking</em> in the appropriate direction, you first highlight the appropriate gator with the Nunchuk's analog stick, and <em>then</em> whack. It never occurred to me that this was an imperfect setup until I got home. I was actually too busy having a good time. Again, I don't have an excuse. <em>Gator Panic</em> may not be worth $50 on its own, but it's one of those things that seems like it would be hard <em>not</em> to enjoy at least a little. Maybe that's some unconscious desperation to promote retrogaming at work, or maybe it's a reaction against the new, flashy FPS games I could see from where I was playing <em>Namco Museum,</em> but it just made me <em>happy.</em><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/27/pax-07-namco-museum-remix-is-still-weird-but-also-fun/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>PAX 07: Namco Museum Remix is still weird, but also fun</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/08/27/pax-07-namco-museum-remix-is-still-weird-but-also-fun/">PAX 07: Namco Museum Remix is still weird, but also fun</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 27 Aug 2007 11:15:00 EST. Sure, there are some new screens of the new versions of <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pac_'n_Roll">Pac 'n Roll</a> </em>and<em> Pac-Motos, </em>and maybe they do look fun, in a budget party game sort of way, but we glossed right over them for screens of 20+year-old arcade games, because that's how we (Pac'n) roll.<br /><br />We're strange people, we suppose. But when we saw those screenshots of <em>Gaplus,</em> <em>Pac and Pal</em>, and especially our beloved <em>Pac-Mania</em> and its brilliant background image (CRAZYMAN!!), we <em>knew. </em>We got a terrible feeling that <em>we will buy <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/NamcoMuseumRemix/">Namco Museum Remix</a>.</em> There. We said it. We only hope we can get the message out to Bandai Namco that we want <em>more real classics </em>and <em>fewer wacky remakes. </em>And please, some games that haven't been released in previous <em>Namco Museums.</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/24/the-real-games-in-namco-museum-remix/">The real games in Namco Museum Remix</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 Jul 2007 09:50:00 EST. CONFIRMED: <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/09/vc-friday-straightforward-killing/">Namco Museum Remix</a></em> continues to be insane. Not that we expected them to, but Namco did <em>not</em> go back and change <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaga">Galaga</a></em> back to regular <em>Galaga.</em> We are still living in a world where a description of <em>Galaga </em>can include the phrase "Pac-Man rolls on a tube in outer space." <br /><br />This is the "new" <em>Galaga</em> in which, instead of shooting from a ship at the bottom of the screen, you shoot the alien ships by pointing and shooting at them with the Wiimote, shooting-gallery style, and you can also use the analog stick to make Pac-Man jump.<br /><br /><em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rally-X">Rally-X</a> </em>was still <em>Rally-X</em>, but with speed boosting, which seems like an okay addition. These were still the only two playable games, so we'll have to wait to see how Namco is <strike>ru</strike><strike>ining</strike> updating the rest of their classics.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/13/e307-namco-museum-remix-is-still-weird/">E307: Namco Museum Remix is still weird</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Jul 2007 15:35:00 EST. We remember feeling quite special about the Playstation versions-- they were the <em>real</em> versions of <em>real arcade games! At home! </em>But now the <em>Namco Museum </em>series is, itself, old. How old?<br /><br /><em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valkyrie_No_Densetsu">Valkyrie no Densetsu</a> </em>(1989) was eight years old when it was released on <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namco_Museum#Namco_Museum_Volume_5">Namco Museum Vol. 5</a>.</em> The original <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namco_Museum">Namco Museum</a> </em>Playstation game is eleven years old. In other words, <em>Namco Museum</em> is now older, in relative terms, than a game that was old enough for <em>Namco Museum.</em><br /><br />Speaking of the Playstation editions, the new <em>Namco Museum DS </em>has something not seen since those days: an actual museum mode, in the form of a trophy collection and music player, as well as scanned instructions and flyers. <em><br /><br /></em>Relatively newer features include bottom-screen maps and hints for <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaga">Galaga</a> (?), <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xevious">Xevious</a>, </em>and <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Druaga">The Tower of Druaga</a>.</em> Of course, the most exciting relatively-new thing is <em>Pac-Man Vs.</em>, which, now that it won't require so much of a financial outlay, we may actually try with another person.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/09/namco-museum-screens-are-as-new-as-namco-museum-screens-can-be/">Namco Museum screens are as new as Namco Museum screens can be</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 09 Jul 2007 11:30:00 EST. <div align="left">Game|Life's Chris Kohler played the wacky reinterpretation of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/09/vc-friday-straightforward-killing/"><em>Galaga</em></a> found on the new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/18/namco-goes-insane-after-too-many-namco-museum-releases/"><em>Namco Museum Remix</em></a>, and somehow came out of it cogent enough to describe the surreal experience. Basically, Pac-Man is rolling down a slide in space, <em>for some reason</em>, and players have to protect him by shooting the Galaga ships that come down to attack him <em>for some reason</em>. You aim at the little ships with the Wiimote pointer. If <a href="http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2006/08/column_parallax_memories_galag.php"><em>Galaga '88</em></a> was Galactic Dancing, this is Galactic-- okay, we don't know what it is. We're still pretty confused about the whole idea.<br /></div>
</div>
<br />Kohler also played <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rally-X"><em>Rally-X</em></a>, which was basically a 3D remake of the original arcade game (which itself is basically <em>Pac-Man</em>). While <em>Galaga </em>is rife with Wiimote integration, <em>Rally-X</em> is more staid and relies on the analog stick and shoulder buttons.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/18/namco-museum-remix-galaga-rally-x-details/">Namco Museum Remix: Galaga, Rally-X details</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 18 Jun 2007 13:00:00 EST. You remember Namco Bandai's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/galaga"><em>Galaga</em></a>, don't you? The very mention of it should conjure images of a lone spacecraft darting through unrelenting waves of giant insects, with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/aegiswing">bullets whizzing by</a> and an unusually pleased Pac-Man rolling past. Oh, you don't remember him being there? That's because you haven't seen <em>Namco Museum <strike>Rehash</strike> Remix</em> for the Wii yet -- the "Remix" part referring to the inclusion of gluttonous gaming icon, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pac-man">Pac-Man</a>, into every one of the revamped titles.<br /><br />The image above is from <em>Galaga Remix</em>, a point-and-shooter (yes, really) that forms part of the five Wii-vitalized games included in <em>Namco Museum Remix</em>. Others <a href="http://wii.ign.com/articles/789/789656p1.html">detailed</a> by IGN are:<br />
<ul>
    <li><em>Pac 'n Roll Remix</em> -- Much like the early DS game, Pac-Man has to roll his obese body to the end of the level while overcoming enemies, obstacles and a self-image problem.<br /></li>
    <li><em>Pac-Motos Remix</em> -- Pac-Man knocks his opponents out of dangerous arenas. He'll eat them later.<br /></li>
    <li><em>Rally-X Remix</em> -- It's a 3-D version of Rally-X, only with Pac-Man driving the car (miraculously sans arms and legs).<br /></li>
    <li><em>Gator Panic Remix</em> -- Whack-a-Mole, but with gators. And Pac-Man.<br /></li>
</ul>
<em>Galaxian</em>, <em>Dig Dug, Mappy, Xevious, Gaplus, Super Pac-Man, Pac &amp; Pal, Pac-Mania</em> and <em>Cute Q</em> will also be included, though they'll all have to make due without a "remix." <em>Namco Museum Remix</em> releases on Wii this Fall.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix-wii/">Namco Museum Remix (Wii)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix-wii/#246919"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/05/pacnroll_screenshot_070427_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix-wii/#246918"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/05/pacnroll_screenshot_070427_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix-wii/#246917"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/05/pacnroll_screenshot_070427_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix-wii/#246916"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/05/galaga_screenshot_070427_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix-wii/#246915"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2007/05/rally_screenshot_070427_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2007/05/18/namco-goes-insane-after-too-many-namco-museum-releases/">Wii Fanboy</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/18/pac-man-invades-namco-museum-remix/">Pac-Man invades Namco Museum Remix on Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 18 May 2007 16:55:00 EST. The major complaint about Namco's <a href="http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/103-2204069-1167800?url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;field-keywords=namco+museum&amp;Go.x=0&amp;Go.y=0&amp;Go=Go"><em>Museum</em> series</a> of retro compilations is that they're just <em>too faithful</em> to their arcade counterparts. People don't want exact arcade translations anymore, they want games remade unrecognizably in 3D! They want Pac-Man randomly inserted into every game!<br /><br />At least, that seems to be Namco Bandai's thinking. Either that or they weren't sure how else to rerelease <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/14/vc-monday-madness-more-ninja-than-you-can-shake-a-shuriken-at/">games</a> they're already <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/09/vc-friday-straightforward-killing/">selling</a> on the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/virtual-console">Virtual Console</a>. The result is <em>Namco Museum Remix</em>, a set of Namco classics, now with more waggle, depth, and Pac! The remixed games include <em>Galaga, Pac-Motos, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rally-X">Rally-X</a>, Gator Panic, </em>and <em>Pac 'n Roll</em>, which is apparently a classic now despite not even being two years old. For that matter, <em>Gator Panic</em> seems to be based on a <a href="http://mobilegamefaqs.com/gameinfo.php?id=139&amp;name=Gator+Panic">cell phone game</a> which is itself based on the Whack-a-Mole like redemption game, and we have no idea what <em>Pac-Motos</em> was originally. Interesting what passes for "classics" these days!<br /><br />In addition to the remixes, the collection includes <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cutie_Q">Cutie Q</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dig_Dug">Dig Dug</a>, Galaxian, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaplus">Gaplus</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mappy">Mappy</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pac_%26_Pal">Pac &amp; Pal</a>, Pac-Mania,<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Pac-Man"> Super Pac-Man</a>, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Xevious/">Xevious</a>. We poke fun at Namco for selling the same games over and over again, but this is an okay selection of somewhat less common stuff! Sorry to everyone who bought NES <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/12/vc-friday-lackluster-week-for-downloadable-games/"><em>Xevious </em></a>on the Virtual Console.<br /><br />Check out our gallery of screens from the remixed games. Some are faithful, like <em>Rally-X,</em> and others are completely incomprehensible, like the image at the top of this post, which is supposed to be <em>Galaga.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix/">Namco Museum Remix</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix/#444222"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/10/1p_07_pacn_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix/#444221"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/10/1p_06_motos_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix/#444220"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/10/1p_05_galaga_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix/#444219"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/10/1p_03_pacn_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/namco-museum-remix/#444218"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2007/10/1p_01_galaga_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/18/namco-goes-insane-after-too-many-namco-museum-releases/">Namco goes insane after too many Namco Museum releases</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 18 May 2007 12:20:00 EST. <p>Sure, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/category/virtua-tennis/"><em>Virtua Tennis 3</em></a> had some strange gimmicks ... like collecting giant pieces of fruit whilst avoiding <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/19/new-virtua-tennis-3-screens/">deadly bouldering tennis balls</a>. But Namco's upcoming <em>Smash Court Tennis</em> looks to out-do quite possibly every tennis game ever made with this utterly brilliant duo of retro-themed gameplay modes. Above, you'll see the rad flavors of <em>Pac-Man</em> infused into the typically high-brow sport of tennis. After the cut, you'll see some equally cool gameplay inspired by the retro groove of <em>Galaga</em>.<br /><br />These simple additions have made this game suddenly shoot up much higher on our radar. We're being informed that there never was a Gallagher NES game, so we'll have to settle for <em>Galaga</em>, Namco's classic 1981 arcade shooter that was later released on the NES (and every other platform known to mankind). We now return to our previously begun post.<br /><br />Prepare to power-up your spaceship and shoot some aliens in the NES version of <em>Galaga</em>, hitting the Wii Virtual Console this morning along with its ne'er-do-well friends <em>BRAVOMAN</em> and <em>Alex Kidd</em> (in the Enchanted Castle, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/23/alex-kidd-wonder-boy-and-2d-virtua-fighter-slated-for-virtual/">where else</a>?). All three will arrive on US VC at 9am PT for the standard, platform-specific asking prices: <br />

    <li><em>Galaga</em> (NES, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points)</li>
    <li><em>BRAVOMAN</em> (Turbografx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points)</li>

When you're not wearing a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/04/21/the-2006-joystiq-t-shirt/">limited edition Joystiq t-shirt</a> (i.e., when it's in the wash), we suggest an alternative route to game geek chic. And to avoid the emo-ness of Atari logos, it could be worth looking to the online stores of Japan where, at the end of the month, MARS16 will unleash the first design in its fully-licensed Namco Game Series -- this iconic <em>Galaga</em> print. We've been sucked up and captured, handing over &yen;3,990 (US$33) for our escape shirt. If anyone is wearing a cooler t-shirt than this right now, let us know about it (and we'll tear it off your back).<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/19/t-shirt-goodness-from-japan-namco-game-series/">T-shirt goodness from Japan: Namco Game Series</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 19 Feb 2007 11:15:00 EST. While not all of the ESRB rated games have yet arrived on the console, it's fairly certain that they'll get here eventually.<br /><br />In addition, <em>Super Ghouls n' Ghosts</em> was announced not only for the Wii, but for the 360 and PS3. This would make it the first game to be released on all three systems' classic download services, which then brings up silly flame wars and pointless arguing.<br /><br />But seriously, the Wii version will totally be the best.<br /><br />(Note: The GameSpot article mentions that <em>Galaga</em> was also tagged for release, but we actually caught this <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/03/esrb-page-listing-more-contenders/">back in January</a>. We rock.)<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/02/16/more-esrb-ratings-found-for-virtual-console/">More ESRB ratings found for Virtual Console</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 16 Feb 2007 11:00:00 EST. Now they show up in the right hand corner of the screen. Now, in the interest sparing a few hurled controllers, how about making the little yellow guy a wee bit more responsive.<br /><br />[Thanks <a href="http://www.cheapassgamer.com">Julian</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/27/galaga-and-pac-man-update-stops-pops/">Galaga &amp; Pac-man update stops pops</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 27 Aug 2006 00:45:00 EST. We would be a smidgen more excited about this if it wasn't something most of us can already play on our PSP or PS2 classic hits <a href="http://www.namco.com/games/namcomuseum50/">compilations</a> (or any other system that has one of them).<br /><br />For that reason, there's just not that much to get hyped about with this one since all it does is the same thing it did back in 1981. Where's the enhanced online play? Where's the co-op mode? How bout we get that little something special for our 400 points?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/26/galaga-makes-its-way-over-to-xbla/">Galaga makes its way over to XBLA</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 26 Jul 2006 17:55:00 EST. Available right now on Xbox Live Arcade! A game sure to make gamers, non-gamers, and even the significant others of gamers very happy. Everybody loves <em>Galaga</em>. Grab the demo, and if you like it, <em>Galaga</em> can be purchased for 400 points. That's a mere $5. Seriously, when you were a kid, if someone told you that you could play all the <em>Galaga</em> you ever wanted for five bucks, you'd go for it right?<br /><br />If by chance you have no idea what <em>Galaga</em> is, get the demo and experience gaming history. Otherwise, rejoice!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/26/galaga-hits-live-arcade/">Galaga hits Live Arcade</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 26 Jul 2006 10:30:00 EST.
