The rating, which emerged this week on the <a href="http://www.classification.gov.au/Pages/View.aspx?sid=texKDUt6mQsMN2t0SB04Bg%3d%3d">Australian Classifications Board</a>, points towards a game from Namco Bandai. However, Harada says the listing is a "description mistake" relating to a registration of a new version of <em>Tekken Card Tournament</em>, the free online card-based game.<br /><br />"I think Someone confuse [sic] Platform or Game Genre," Harada <a href="https://twitter.com/Harada_TEKKEN/status/324094444041273344">tweeted</a>.<br /><br />Sounds like Harada isn't talking about a revolution for his fighting series, then. Maybe he's just doing a few <a href="http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m26cbdtfng1qh59n0o1_500.gif">revolutions of joy</a> at <em>Card Tournament</em> notching <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/12/tekken-card-tournament-crests-1-million-downloads-celebrates-wi/">a million downloads</a> just four days after being released.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/16/tekken-revolution-rating-a-new-version-of-card-tournament-say/">Tekken Revolution rating a 'new version of Card Tournament,' says producer Harada</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 16 Apr 2013 09:00:00 EST. "We didn't know that," Harada <a href="https://twitter.com/Harada_TEKKEN/status/260927922049789953">tweeted</a> in response to players that informed him of the script's meaning. "We will change stage design data as soon as possible. We couldn't read that."<br /><br />No further specifics were given vis-a-vis when or how the update will be made available, or what the pattern will be replaced with. Personally, we're hoping for more Snoop.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/27/tekken-tag-tournament-2s-saudi-arabia-stage-changing-to-remove/">Tekken Tag Tournament 2's Saudi Arabia stage changing to remove accidental usage of 'Allah'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 27 Oct 2012 16:30:00 EST. Mega Mushrooms, Poison Mushrooms and other classics litter the floor of a standard match, each performing their expected function when walked on by a character. The results are, predictably, completely hilarious and wacky.<br /><br />Absorbing mushrooms (or other power-ups like Invincibility Stars) changes the dynamic of the match, as larger characters do more damage and smaller characters move more quickly, for instance. We asked Harada if balance was a consideration while designing Mushroom Battle mode, and he told us that breaking the traditional conventions of Tekken is what makes the mode so entertaining.<br /><br />At present, it is unknown whether the mode will be online-enabled - in fact, Harada was unable to answer any questions regarding the Wii U's online infrastructure - but we're sure to learn more over the coming months.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/22/tekken-tag-tournament-2-wii-u-edition-features-nintendo-themed/">Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition features Nintendo-themed 'Mushroom Battle' mode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 22 Sep 2012 19:30:00 EST. Tekken leader Katsuhiro Harada describes one Wii U-specific mode for <em>Tag Tournament 2 </em>to <a href="http://www.gamesradar.com/interview-katsuhiro-harada-talks-tekken/">Gamesradar</a>:<br /><br />"There are going to be some modes that will be interesting, because they are very Nintendo-like," Harada says. "Some of this was shown at E3, where a mushroom drops down and Heihachi eats it and gets bigger. You know Nintendo fans hearing and seeing that just exploded with excitement."<br /><br />Harada can't go into more specifics about other Nintendo modes, but he describes the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/15/heres-the-song-snoop-dogg-made-for-tekken-tag-tournament-2/">Snoop Dogg</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/15/tekken-tag-tournament-2-receiving-over-100-swimsuits-as-pre-or/">swimsuit</a> inclusions as "hooks," ways to appeal to new crowds.<br /><br />"We tried to add several different kinds of hooks," Harada says. "One of them was Snoop Dogg, to appeal to people who wouldn't normally play Tekken - a more casual audience - and we got the desired affect with that. The swimsuits were just another hook to appeal to a different crowd. From the Japanese standpoint, it's an interesting costume that a lot of people would be interested in. We didn't know about the Western market that much."<br /><br />Apparently the American offices were confused by the swimsuit DLC at first, but the reaction to its trailer at Comic-Con convinced them it was just fine. As long as the swimsuits are an equal-species option, of course.<br /><br />"We do have swimsuits for the bears actually. Namco is co-developing <em>Super Smash Bros</em>. for Wii U and 3DS with Nintendo, and the title is a "big priority for the company," Harada says.<br /><br />Namco has "a lot of people" from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/22/namcos-smash-bros-team-includes-tekken-tales-soulcalibur-sta/">many of its franchises</a> developing <em>Super Smash Bros</em>., but fans have been most curious about <em>Tekken </em>staff involvement in the new game, Harada says.<br /><br />"The fans, rather than asking about Tales or Gundam or some of our other franchises, the fans abroad saw Tekken as one of the key words and took off on that," he says. "We're not really sure at this moment but when thinking of the playerbase who is playing <em>Smash Bros.</em>, maybe <em>Tekken</em> characters is something they wouldn't want, so I've been pulling back on that a bit. But I don't know."<br /><br />One of Tekken's characters, Heihachi Mishima, has been <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/06/playstation-all-stars-joined-by-heihachi-and-toro/">confirmed</a> for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/playstation-all-stars-battle-royale"><em>PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale</em></a>, Sony's take on a <em>Smash Bros.</em>-style game. Namco's main staff is currently focused on finishing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tekken-tag-tournament-2"><em>Tekken Tag Tournament 2</em></a>, but it will support <em>Super Smash Bros</em>. in some capacity, Harada says. If any of the <em>Tekken</em> characters do make it into <em>Super Smash Bros.</em>, we're personally hoping it's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/06/tekken-tag-tournament-2-now-has-a-dinosaur-with-boxing-gloves-na/">this one</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/10/harada-pulling-back-on-idea-of-tekken-characters-in-new-smash/">Harada 'pulling back' on idea of Tekken characters in new Smash Bros.</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 10 Jul 2012 16:00:00 EST. "To novice players, they're playing various mini-games that we've prepared and enjoying them while gaining customisation items and techniques," Tekken series lead Katsuhiro Karada tells <a href="http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-04-17-tekken-tag-tournament-2-features-fight-lab-mode">Eurogamer</a>. "Then they've gone through the mode a certain amount, and they've gained more Tekken knowledge and ability in the game."<br /><br />Ultimately, players will be able to customize their Combot with moves from other fighters and use him in the single-player and online multiplayer modes.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/18/tekken-tag-tournament-2-will-have-fight-lab-tutorial-mode/">Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will have 'Fight Lab' tutorial mode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 18 Apr 2012 01:00:00 EST. Because, you see, he told Edge that <a href="http://www.edge-online.com/news/harada-tekken-will-never-have-paid-dlc-characters">no <em>Tekken</em> game will ever have DLC characters</a> at all.<br /><br />That's quite a pronouncement. He clarified that he doesn't have a problem with Capcom doing it, noting that their motives may be different from his. But Harada sees, he said, "the characters and their move sets as chess pieces - they are essential items necessary in the game and we would never sell any of those individually."<br /><br />That doesn't rule out DLC completely, as Harada added that vanity items that might be added to the game after the fact would likely come with a charge. Characters might also be added to a <em>Tekken</em> game in advance as pre-order incentives, as long as they could eventually be unlocked by all players in the game. But as for after-the-fact characters, you won't find any of those in <em>Tekken x Street Fighter</em> if Harada has his way.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/17/tekken-producer-harada-no-dlc-characters-for-us/">Tekken producer Harada: No DLC characters for us</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Apr 2012 15:30:00 EST. Namco producer Katsuhiro Harada is leading up production of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tekken-x-street-fighter"><em>Tekken X Street Fighter</em></a> -- he's the Yoshinori Ono of Namco, if you will. And like his Capcom counterpart, Harada has repeatedly taken to Twitter to answer fan questions about his current project, most recently telling one Twitter user that he's currently "considering" a Vita port of the title.<br />
<br />
He didn't mention much else, unfortunately, though he did take time to promote an upcoming community vote via the game's Facebook page, that'll allow fans to choose which characters end up in the upcoming fighter. One follower suggested both Final Fight's famed crossdresser, Poison, as well as <em>Street Fighter Alpha 3</em>'s Karin. We're gonna go out on a limb and ask Harada for Ryu and Eddy Gordo. Those guys never get any time in the spotlight!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/16/harada-considering-tekken-x-street-fighter-on-vita/">Harada 'considering' Tekken X Street Fighter on Vita</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jan 2012 20:45:00 EST. With the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tekken-hybrid"><em>Tekken Hybrid</em></a> set, you get both a movie (<em>Tekken: Blood Vengeance</em>) and a game (<em>Tekken Tag Tournament HD</em>) along with other bonuses like <em>Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue</em>. If you feel uncomfortable about cramming all that content into a regular-size PS3 game case, you now have another option.<br />
<br />
On Twitter, Producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed the limited edition package for <em>Tekken Hybrid</em>, including the standard edition, an artbook, and the soundtrack, in a <em>much</em> bigger box. Harada specifies that "PSN contents" will also be included, and that the soundtrack consists of two discs. Official pricing details haven't been announced, but <a href="http://www.amazon.com/TEKKEN-Hybrid-Limited-sony-playstation3/dp/B005MOM96M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1317738950&amp;sr=8-1">Amazon</a> says $59.99, a $20 premium over the standard edition.<br />

After an already weird <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/22/tekken-lead-cannot-withstand-street-fighter-leads-furious-flurr/">competition</a> at Comic-Con, <em>Street Fighter</em> and <em>Tekken</em> reps Yoshinori Ono and Katsuhiro Harada, joined by fans, faced off in another set of challenges. This time, it was even weirder thanks to added German-ness.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/31/street-fighter-x-tekken-inspires-another-ono-vs-harada-battle/">Street Fighter X Tekken inspires another Ono vs. Harada battle</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 31 Aug 2011 01:00:00 EST. "Obviously, the <em>Street Fighter</em> characters will have to have their fireballs. Ryu without a fireball just wouldn't be ... right," Tekken game director Katsuhiro Harada told <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/08/02/evo-2k-harada-details-tekken-hybrid-tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue/">PlayStation Blog</a> at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/evo-2011">EVO 2011</a> last weekend. "Obviously we'll need it."<br />
<br />
While <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tekken-x-street-fighter"><em>Tekken X Street Fighter</em></a> development is still in the earliest stages, the confirmation that characters will still be able to toss projectiles is curious. The only thing we've seen of the game so far has been <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/19/what-ryu-looking-at-ryu-in-tekken-x-street-fighter-of-course/">a render of Ryu</a> (above).<br />
<br />
Harada doesn't know exactly how projectiles will make their way into the game yet, but it doesn't stop him from hypothesizing on how fireballs will be implemented. Additionally, he provides some details on a handful of the other upcoming <em>Tekken</em> games, including character list talk for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue"><em>Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue</em></a> and an "85%" confirmation of stereoscopic 3D in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tekken-tag-tournament-2"><em>Tekken Tag Tournament 2</em></a> -- all of which you can read about in the full interview through that Source link below!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/ryu-will-have-his-hadouken-in-tekken-x-street-fighter/">Ryu will have his hadouken in Tekken X Street Fighter</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Aug 2011 22:30:00 EST. When you buy the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/13/tekken-hybrid-unites-tag-tournament-remake-and-blood-vengeance-m/"><em>Tekken Hybrid</em></a> set, you'll get an HD version of the first <em>Tekken Tag Tournament </em>for PS3. You'll <em>also</em> get a playable sample of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/tekken-tag-tournament-2"><em>Tekken Tag Tournament 2</em></a>, producer Katsuhiro Harada announced at Comic-Con. Oh, and the <em>Tekken Blood Vengeance</em> movie, of course.<br />
<br />
The trailer shows Alisa and Xiaoyu, who will be playable in the "Prologue," fighting Devil, who hasn't been previously revealed as a character appearing in this game. And speaking of unconfirmed news, a console release still hasn't been announced for <em>Tekken Tag 2 </em>-- even though it now has a console <em>demo</em>.<br />
<br />
The Hybrid set will be out sometime in November, but if you have a hankering for a bite-sized <em>Tekken Tag</em> experience <em>now</em>, you can get <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tekken-bowl/id446308836?mt=8"><em>Tekken Bowl</em></a> on iPhone -- for free!<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-hd-7-25-11/">Tekken Tag Tournament HD (7/25/11)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-hd-7-25-11/#4319024"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentthdimg0041_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-hd-7-25-11/#4319031"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentthdimg0042_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-hd-7-25-11/#4319037"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentthdimg0061_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-hd-7-25-11/#4319042"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentthdimg0070_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-hd-7-25-11/#4319043"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentthdimg0109_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue-ps3/">Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue (PS3)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue-ps3/#4318946"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentt2prologue05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue-ps3/#4318948"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentt2prologue09_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue-ps3/#4318949"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentt2prologue12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue-ps3/#4318950"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentt2prologue13_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue-ps3/#4318952"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkentt2prologue14_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-bowl-iphone-ipad/">Tekken Bowl (iPhone/iPad)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-bowl-iphone-ipad/#4319170"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkenbowlimg0045-1311620970_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-bowl-iphone-ipad/#4319171"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkenbowlimg0046-1311620972_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-bowl-iphone-ipad/#4319172"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkenbowlimg0047-1311620973_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-bowl-iphone-ipad/#4319173"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkenbowlimg0048-1311620974_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tekken-bowl-iphone-ipad/#4319174"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/07/tekkenbowlimg0049-1311620976_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/25/tekken-hybrid-blu-ray-packs-tekken-tag-tournament-2-prologue/">Tekken Hybrid Blu-ray packs Tekken Tag Tournament 2 'Prologue'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Jul 2011 10:00:00 EST. <em>Tekken</em> project lead Katsuhiro Harada clearly hasn't been studying the finer points of the <em>Street Fighter</em> series he's currently collaborating on, as <em>Street Fighter</em> creative lead Yoshinori Ono surprises him with a flurry of shoryukens at multiple points in this bizarre SDCC short, promoting <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/street-fighter-x-tekken"><em>Street Fighter X Tekken</em></a> (and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/tekken-x-street-fighter">vice versa</a>, of course).<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/22/tekken-lead-cannot-withstand-street-fighter-leads-furious-flurr/">Tekken lead cannot withstand Street Fighter lead's furious flurry of shoryukens</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 22 Jul 2011 18:40:00 EST. Just minutes ago, immediately following the Tougeki fighting game championship finals held during the Tokyo Game Show, Namco Bandai game director Katsuhiro Harada announced <em>Tekken Tag Tournament 2</em>, the first iteration in the Tekken Tag series since the 1999 debut over a decade ago. We had a chance to speak with Mr. Harada following this unveiling, and learned more about the long delay, the game's arcade destination, the current state of fighting games and what's going on with <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/tekken-x-street-fighter">Tekken X Street Fighter</a></em>.<br />
<br />
<a id="fck_paste_padding"></a><strong>Joystiq: How long have you been working on Tekken Tag Tournament 2?<br />
</strong> <br />
Katsuhiro Harada: Actually there was some talk at first of doing this before Tekken 6 came out, but when we discussed it amongst ourselves and the team we felt like we first wanted to make a proper sequel to 6 to see how far we could push the limits of our graphics engine on that hardware before going to Tag. <br />
<br />
As you've seen for yourself in the trailer, we have three or four characters on the screen at once so that's simply twice as much power needed than previously for example in Tekken 6. So obviously trying to do that right off the bat earlier on would be much more difficult.<br />
<br />
<strong>If it's running on the same technology as 6, which came not only to arcades but to consoles, what are your console plans for Tag 2?</strong><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/18/interview-katushiro-harada-talks-tekken-tag-tournament-2/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Interview: Katsuhiro Harada talks Tekken Tag Tournament 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/18/interview-katushiro-harada-talks-tekken-tag-tournament-2/">Interview: Katsuhiro Harada talks Tekken Tag Tournament 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 18 Sep 2010 08:15:00 EST. <div style="text-align: right;"><em><small>Image: 1UP</small></em></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">It's not much, but the image above is the first official glimpse of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/tekken-x-street-fighter"><em>Tekken x Street Fighter</em></a>, the 3D brawler being crafted by Namco (not to be confused with Capcom's 2D <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/street-fighter-x-tekken"><em>Street Fighter x Tekken</em></a>). The image, snagged by <a href="http://www.1up.com/news/ryu-tekken-x-street-fighter">1UP</a>, was shown by <em>Tekken </em>producer Katsuhiro Harada during Gamescom. It's worth noting that Ryu is actually sporting Paul's uniform from the <em>Tekken </em>series, with Harada admitting that the Namco team only had enough time to create the face. Furthermore, Harada stated that the image was pulled directly off of a development unit and still needs things like lighting adjusted.<br />
<br />
Enjoy the image, because <em>Tekken x Street Fighter</em> is still over two years away.</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/19/what-ryu-looking-at-ryu-in-tekken-x-street-fighter-of-course/">What Ryu looking at? All of these screens, depicting the same four characters we've seen in other <em>Street Fighter X Tekken</em> media, <em>curiously</em> seem to show the <em>Tekken</em> characters being beaten up by Ryu and Chun-Li. Ono also <a href="http://twitter.com/Yoshi_OnoChin/status/20959772442">tweeted</a> an "invitation" to a GamesCom presentation during which he and Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada will both appear and show off the game.<br />
<br />
Which brings us to the one person for whom these tweets <em>aren't</em> great news. Ono entreated fans to "gather with me to rid of Harada's annoying beard off his baby face once and for all."<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-8-13-10/">Street Fighter X Tekken (8/13/10)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-8-13-10/#3258726"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/sftekken8131001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-8-13-10/#3258728"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/sftekken8131002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-8-13-10/#3258730"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/sftekken8131003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-8-13-10/#3258732"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/sftekken8131004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-8-13-10/#3258733"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/08/sftekken8131005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/13/new-street-fighter-x-tekken-screens-street-fighter-producer-tau/">New Street Fighter X Tekken screens, Street Fighter producer taunts</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 13 Aug 2010 14:00:00 EST.
