Gaming hardware manufacturer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/razer/">Razer</a> has wrapped up the beta testing phase for its long-in-development <a href="http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-controllers/razer-atrox">Razer Atrox Arcade Stick</a> for the Xbox 360, and will begin accepting pre-orders next week.<br />
<br />
We had a look at a prototype version of Razer's controller at TGS <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/16/video-hands-on-with-the-razer-arcade-stick/">way back in 2011</a>, where the concept made a strong showing. Razer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/razer-building-xbox-360-arcade-stick-with-help-from-people-who/">previously announced</a> that it would be working closely with the fighting game community throughout the Atrox's development, and the finished product will ship with tournament-grade Sanwa buttons and multiple interchangeable ball-top and bat-top sticks.<br />
<br />
Razer has developed the Atrox with modding in mind; the hatch-like surface can be opened with a button press, allowing for easy maintenance and design customization. Once opened, the Atrox boasts a spacious interior with compartments for replacement parts, tools, and the fat wads of cash you'll pick up from underground <i>Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3</i> money matches.<br />
<br />
Atrox pre-orders will open at Razer's website on May 21. The Atrox will retail for $200.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/17/razers-atrox-arcade-stick-still-exists-pre-orders-open-may-21/">Razer's Atrox arcade stick still exists, pre-orders open May 21</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 May 2013 01:00:00 EST. It's still designed to play recent PC games, with physical controls on the sides of the tablet. A version with an Intel i5 chip, 4GB of RAM, Windows 8 and a 64GB SSD is "<a href="http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-edge/">available now</a>" for $999, the company revealed at CES. A "Pro" model including a Core i7, 8GB of RAM, and either a 128GB or 256GB SSD is also available for $<a href="http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-edge-pro">1299</a>. This version is reportedly capable of running <em>Dishonored</em> at 59 frames per second.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> both configurations will actually ship in Q1, not "now," Razer told us, despite the press release's assertion that "both models are available now."<br /><br />Those controllers have now become an optional (read: extra) dock, which can be swapped out for other accessories, like a keyboard dock and a dock with HDMI out and USB ports.<br /><br />Engadget got some hands-on time with the Edge at CES; for more information, check out their <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/08/razer-edge-hands-on/">extensive writeup</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/08/razers-project-fiona-becomes-edge-tablet-available-now/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer's 'Project Fiona' becomes 'Edge' tablet, available Q1 [update]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/08/razers-project-fiona-becomes-edge-tablet-available-now/">Razer's 'Project Fiona' becomes 'Edge' tablet, available Q1 [update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 08 Jan 2013 13:00:00 EST. The Sabertooth packs a full six programmable buttons, including two extra shoulder buttons and the bizarre, underside rockers seen above. These buttons can replicate any of the Xbox's standard buttons, and an OLED screen on the bottom of the controller can save various configuration setups for different kinds of games. The screen can also be used to adjust the sensitivity of the analog sticks (as opposed to the manual adjustment seen in the Onza Tournament Edition).<br /><br />The Sabertooth is available now for $80. Those who already own the Onza Tournament Edition are also eligible for a <a href="http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-controllers/razer-sabertooth/step-up">$10 discount</a>.<br /><br />Head over to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/02/razer-sabertooth-hands-on/">Engadget</a> for some hands-on impressions.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/03/razers-sabertooth-xbox-controller-has-buttons-galore/">Razer's Sabertooth Xbox controller has buttons galore</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 03 Jan 2013 13:00:00 EST. Hence, Razer has announced an updated version of its gaming rig, which features new internal components and a lower-yet-still-wallet-crushing price of $2,499.<br /><br />Whereas the original Blade packed a 2.8 GHz Core i7 processor and a GeForce GT 555M GPU, the new model ships with an as-of-yet unannounced Core i7 CPU and a GeForce GTX 660M, as well as eight gigs of 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, a 500-gig 7200 rpm hard drive and 64-gig solid state drive. The rest of the package (17ish-inch 1920x1080 display, capacitive multitouch Switchblade LCD side display, etc) remains the same. <br /><br />First generation Blades will be receiving a price drop to appropriately reflect the introduction of the new hotness, bringing its down to $2,299. Anyone that has already purchased the original Blade, however, will be able to upgrade to the new model at a $500 discount. Pre-orders for the second generation Razer Blade start tomorrow, with delivery expected to take place by the end of the month. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-pax-2012/">Razer Blade (PAX 2012)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-pax-2012/#5253197"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/rzrblader2v01rgbwbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-pax-2012/#5253198"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/rzrblader2v02rgbwbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-pax-2012/#5253199"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/rzrblader2v03rgbwbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-pax-2012/#5253200"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/rzrblader2v04rgbwbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-pax-2012/#5253201"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/rzrblader2v05rgbwbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/01/second-generation-razer-blade-upgrades-innards-lowers-price/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Second generation Razer Blade upgrades innards, lowers price</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/01/second-generation-razer-blade-upgrades-innards-lowers-price/">Second generation Razer Blade upgrades innards, lowers price</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 01 Sep 2012 22:13:00 EST. Athene, sponsored by Razer, used his reach to help garner donations. DC Entertainment pledged to match all donations up to $1 million, and accounts for "approximately half" of the current total ($1,010,704 as of this writing).<br /><br />The money goes to <a href="http://savethechildren.org/">Save the Children</a>, which will use the funds to aid in the hunger crisis in the horn of Africa. At least, that's what <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/razer">Razer</a> wants you to think. The company recently released it's Naga Hex mouse, which was created especially for MOBAs and action-RPGs, with six side-mounted buttons just for activating in-game skills.<br /><br />If your mouse just doesn't have enough buttons - or perhaps has <a href="http://wow.joystiq.com/2011/02/17/razer-naga-epic-mouse-review-12-buttons-you-never-knew-you-want/">too many</a> - the Hex just might help you out, assuming you're willing to shell out 80 bucks, of course. The worst issue with the laptop seems to be the audio (the built-in speakers are so bad that Engadget suspected their unit was broken somehow), but in general the problem with the Blade seems that it's tuned for a mix of portability and performance, which means neither gets to be perfect.<br /><br />Yes, the Blade is sleek and super thin for a PC laptop, but it trades on that build <strike>by being a "gaming" unit that doesn't play <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/starcraft-2">StarCraft 2</a> on its highest settings perfectly</strike>. (see update) For the sticker price of $2,799, Razer traded a little too much performance for the admittedly impressive form factor.<br /><br />But while Engadget doesn't recommend the laptop wholeheartedly, the site does praise the Blade's "bright and delectably tactile" LED buttons. The article surmises we'll see those types of controls again soon, either in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/16/razer-tests-the-waters-with-project-fiona-at-ces/">Razer hardware</a>, or units from other device manufacturers.<br /><br /><em>Update:</em> Engadget has discovered that they didn't have the latest drivers for the graphics card, and with those, apparently <em>Skyrim</em> runs much better. Engadget is working on updated benchmarks for all of the Blade's performance aspects.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/22/engadget-evaluates-razer-blade-performance/">Engadget evaluates Razer Blade performance</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 22 Feb 2012 22:45:00 EST. Razer's Project Fiona looks just like you'd expect a prototype to look. Despite a thick but standard tablet-style body and 10.1 inch touchscreen, it has some unfinished aluminum struts sticking out of either side, with not-quite-perfect joysticks and buttons placed unceremoniously on the top. In short, it's a manufactured idea and not a real product just yet. And Razer's purpose at CES last week was to judge, reps told me, just how good that idea actually was.<br />
<br />
Playing with the Project Fiona tablet doesn't feel quite right, but not because the games don't work. The Intel Core i7 processor powers a full Windows 7 installation (though it will eventually run Windows 8, says Razer), and the two prototypes at the show had full PC games on them, including the excellent <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/warhammer-40k-space-marine"><em>Warhammer 40K: Space Marine</em></a>. It ran quite well, but it was still difficult to play -- those joysticks and buttons just aren't fully in the right places. My thumbs did find and learn to use them after a few minutes of play, but it's unclear why, when Razer is already borrowing the "console controller" setup, the buttons are so strangely placed.<br />
<br />
After about twenty minutes of handling and playing with Project Fiona, I came to the biggest question about the prototype: Why?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/16/razer-tests-the-waters-with-project-fiona-at-ces/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer tests the waters with Project Fiona at CES</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/16/razer-tests-the-waters-with-project-fiona-at-ces/">Razer tests the waters with Project Fiona at CES</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 16 Jan 2012 21:30:00 EST. Razer's "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/razers-project-fiona-is-a-gaming-tablet-prototype-and-it/">Project Fiona</a>," a tablet with an Intel Core i7 processor and the ability to play "current-generation PC games," is on display this week at <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/ces-2012">CES</a>. The crew at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/hands-on-with-razers-project-fiona-video/">Engadget</a> got to spend some time with the device, and made a moving-picture document of the experience.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/11/engadget-fiddles-with-razers-project-fiona/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Engadget fiddles with Razer's 'Project Fiona'</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/11/engadget-fiddles-with-razers-project-fiona/">Engadget fiddles with Razer's 'Project Fiona'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 11 Jan 2012 10:00:00 EST. Perhaps the PlayStation Vita's leggy 5 inch screen just isn't enough for your dedicated gaming portable needs. Perhaps -- and this is just a theoretical, of course -- you think Sony's promise of console quality games on the Vita isn't nearly as important as full-on console games on the go. Enter Razer's "Project Fiona PC Gaming Tablet." It's merely a prototype (at least for now), but this may be the go-to portable for you at some point in the future, fictional crazy person.<br />
<br />
Razer unveiled the prototype concept this week at CES, ending an ambiguous, weeks-long promotional campaign (seen after the break). According to a press release issued by the hardware company, the Project Fiona tablet comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, and is capable of running "current-generation PC games" -- <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/firefall"><em>Firefall</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/assassins-creed-revelations"><em>Assassin's Creed: Revelations</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/hawx-2"><em>H.A.W.X. 2</em></a> are shown in the teaser, offering examples of some titles that will apparently work on the device -- surprise surprise, Ubisoft is jumping at the chance to showcase its wares on a new gaming device. Razer claimed in the announce that "many" PC games will "run natively" on the device without any need for specialization.<br />
<br />
Beyond being a super powerful gaming tablet, Project Fiona also keeps up with the Joneses by including "ultra-precise accelerometers and a highly sensitive multi-touch screen," which is intended to give developers a chance to cater their PC games to the device. It also has now de rigeur forced feedback, so you can rumble while commuting.<br />
<br />
Unlike Razer's previous gaming prototype, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/06/razer-announces-switchblade-7-inch-pc-gaming-tablet-concept/">the Switchblade</a>, the company isn't giving out a hard price for Project Fiona, but said it'll be "under $1,000" when it's expected to launch in "Q4 2012."<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razers-project-fiona-pc-gaming-tablet/">Razer's 'Project Fiona' PC gaming tablet</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razers-project-fiona-pc-gaming-tablet/#4730680"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/01/fionaangledvblkbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razers-project-fiona-pc-gaming-tablet/#4730681"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/01/fionaangledvwhtbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razers-project-fiona-pc-gaming-tablet/#4730682"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/01/fionabackvblkbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razers-project-fiona-pc-gaming-tablet/#4730683"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/01/fionabackvwhtbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razers-project-fiona-pc-gaming-tablet/#4730684"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/01/fionactllrcublkbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/razers-project-fiona-is-a-gaming-tablet-prototype-and-it/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer's 'Project Fiona' is a gaming tablet prototype ... and it plays PC games</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/10/razers-project-fiona-is-a-gaming-tablet-prototype-and-it/">Razer's 'Project Fiona' is a gaming tablet prototype ... and it plays PC games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 10 Jan 2012 15:10:00 EST. <br />
It's unclear as to whether or not these were the only two prototypes, but it's safe to say that any loss like this is a significant one, and that the prototypes are worth far more than the $2,800 retail price originally quoted for the laptop. Tan is asking for anyone with information about the theft to send an email to <em>cult at razerzone dot com</em>.<br />
<br />
The Blade, revealed earlier this year at PAX, makes use of a proprietary user interface and LCD touchpad; trade secrets which Razer must desperately (and understandably) want to keep out of the hands of the competition. We're not saying this was corporate espionage, of course, but we <em>are</em> heavily implying that.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/">Razer Blade (Announcement)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398242"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev01cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398243"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev02cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398244"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev03cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398245"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev04cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398246"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev05cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/14/nerdheist-2011-razer-blade-prototypes-stolen-from-razer-randd/">NerdHeist 2011: Razer Blade prototypes stolen from Razer R&amp;D</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 14 Nov 2011 20:00:00 EST. <br />
Just after <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/razer">Razer</a> announced its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/razer-building-xbox-360-arcade-stick-with-help-from-people-who/">upcoming arcade joystick</a>, we managed to get our hands on it at <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/tgs-2011">TGS</a>. The verdict so far: It's pretty slick. The prototype I used featured Sanwa parts, though Razer is attempting to accommodate "as many brands as possible" in the final model, which is hopefully good news for those who prefer HAPP/IL sticks (like me). The real kicker, however, is the ability to crack open the case by simply pressing the Razer logo at the base of the stick.<br />
<br />
Well, it's not <em>that</em> simple. It takes quite a bit of pressure, since you don't want to accidentally open the case during a fight. Once open, all the innards are completely accessible, allowing for very simple modding (no soldering required here). The inside of the case also includes storage for extra parts, meaning you can carry both a ball top and a bat top for the joystick at all times.<br />
<br />
The inside also includes a tool that can be used to remove the top plate, a plastic panel that rests atop a solid metal layer underneath. The matte black plate can be replaced with a clear plate, allowing modders to insert their own artwork underneath if desired. Overall, it seems like a very well made, solid piece of kit that could possibly open up the otherwise daunting world of joystick customization to a much wider audience.<br />
<br />

Razer, which just expanded into the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/26/razer-unveils-2800-blade-laptop/">luxury laptop</a> market, is also trying its hand at arcade sticks. During TGS, it announced what is likely its most Japan-focused product: an Xbox 360 stick being designed with input from pro fighting gamers and other "community" members.<br />
<br />
The concept is actually a "closed beta," launching at TGS, in which modders and fighting game enthusiasts will be given sticks and asked to provide feedback and improvements. The prototype of the stick shows that Razer's already on the right track -- it's hinged, and can be opened up easily for modding. Check out the prototype in the gallery below while we to try to go mess with the hardware in person at TGS.<br />

And if you're skeptical about Razer being able to pull off an arcade stick, think about how you felt the first time you heard that <em>Mad Catz</em> was doing it.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-xbox-360-arcade-stick-prototype/">Razer Xbox 360 Arcade Stick prototype</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-xbox-360-arcade-stick-prototype/#4451947"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/razer91501_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-xbox-360-arcade-stick-prototype/#4451948"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/razer91502_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-xbox-360-arcade-stick-prototype/#4451949"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/09/razer91503_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/razer-building-xbox-360-arcade-stick-with-help-from-people-who/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer building Xbox 360 arcade stick, with help from people who know arcade sticks</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/razer-building-xbox-360-arcade-stick-with-help-from-people-who/">Razer building Xbox 360 arcade stick, with help from people who know arcade sticks</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 Sep 2011 09:00:00 EST. How long was Razer waiting to use <em>that</em> product name? Today, with its "<a href="http://www.pcgamingisnotdead.com">PC Gaming Is Not Dead</a>" countdown elapsed, the company unveiled its "Blade" laptop, billed as "the world's first true gaming laptop." What must Alienware think about that?<br />
<br />
The "Blade" uses the UI from Razer's "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/06/razer-announces-switchblade-7-inch-pc-gaming-tablet-concept/">Switchblade</a>" concept -- a set of ten adaptive keys and an LCD touchscreen built into the keyboard, which can be used either as a touchpad or to display in-game information.<br />
<br />
What it doesn't use from the Switchblade is the compact form factor. This laptop has a 17" LED-lit screen and weighs around 7 pounds. That's light for a gaming laptop, but heavy for a thing you're carrying around. It packs a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and an Nvidia GeForce GT 555M with 2GB of video memory.<br />
<br />
All those big numbers bring another one: the Blade will retail for $2799.99 when it launches in North America in Q4 of this year.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/">Razer Blade (Announcement)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398242"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev01cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398243"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev02cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398244"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev03cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398245"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev04cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-blade-announcement/#4398246"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/rzrbladev05cmykbbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/26/razer-unveils-2800-blade-laptop/">Razer unveils $2800 'Blade' laptop</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 26 Aug 2011 12:24:00 EST. <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/razer">Razer</a> has announced a new line of products to accompany the launch of <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/battlefield-3"><em>Battlefield 3</em></a> later this year. For PC players, there's the BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard, which features backlit keys, macro keys and a USB passthrough, among other things. PC users also get the Imperator mouse, which features programmable buttons and a 6400dpi 4G Dual Sensor System, which is <em>a lot</em> of dpis, if you ask us. Finally, there's a mouse pad that features a "fractal 2.0 surface coating" and also, we're guessing, a conveniently flat shape. The keyboard, mouse and pad will be available for $140, $80 and $40 repsectively.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, on the console side of things, the Xbox gets a <em>Battlefield 3</em> edition of the Onza Tournament Edition controller, complete with analog sticks with adjustable resistance. The Onza will run $60. Finally, Razer shifts from gaming accessories to personal accessories with a Battlefield 3 iPhone case and messenger bag for $20 and $80, respectively.<br />
<br />
The entire <em>Battlefield</em> line is expected to launch alongside the game on October 25. Check out the gallery below for entirely too many images.<br />

<a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/razer">Razer</a> has announced that it will be producing four peripherals tailored for <u><em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/star-wars-the-old-republic">Star Wars: The Old Republic</a></em></u>. The peripherals come packing the (ahem) <em>sharp</em> design that Razer is known for, along with a few slick technical features. The neatest of the bunch is the keyboard, which features a multi-touch LCD panel with a set of adaptive keys similar to those seen on the Razer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/switchblade">Switchblade</a> device. The backlit keys can even be converted to the <em>Star Wars</em> language of Aurebesh, which is neat, if not exactly <em>useful</em>.<br />
<br />
The <em>SWTOR</em> Gaming Mouse features seventeen programmable buttons, twelve of which rest directly under the thumb. A 5.1 surround sound headset is also in the works. Finally, there's the mouse pad, which features "performance-grade" surfaces and a "non-slip, anti-reflective, abrasion-resistant hard coating." Presumably, you can drag a mouse on it real good. All can be customized to show either the Sith or Republic faction insignia as well.<br />
<br />
The mouse and headset will run for $130, while the keyboard will command a hefty $200 price. If you just need something <em>Old Republic</em>, the mouse pad is the cheapest option at $50 but, then again, it's a <em>mouse pad</em>. All the peripherals will be available when <em>The Old Republic</em> launches, which remains as much of a mystery to Razer as it does to everyone else.<br />
<br />
Check out pics of the hardware in the gallery below and a trailer after the break.<br />

	<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/21/razer-hydra-brings-motion-controls-to-pcs-this-june-bundled-wit/"><img alt="Razer Hydra" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/04/rzrhydragrpshot_530x350.jpg" style="width: 530px; height: 350px; " /></a></div>
Despite a release window of "early" this year, Razer wasn't quite able to ship its Hydra motion gaming controller alongside <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/portal-2">Portal 2</a> </em>this week. Instead, interested parties will be able to pre-order the $140 package this May ahead of a projected June ship date.<br />
<br />
Wait, $140? We were told Razer was targeting a sub-$100 price point. That boosted price is for the <em>Portal 2</em> bundle which includes (get this!) a copy of <em>Portal 2</em>! But this isn't your off-the-digital-shelf <em>Portal 2</em>; this version includes the Sixense MotionPack DLC featuring "six additional levels specifically designed for more portal testing fun with motion control," developed by Sixense.<br />
<br />
Of course, any PC gamer worth his water cooler will have already purchased <em>Portal 2</em> by then; luckily, the Hydra "is optimized with over 125 popular PC games out of the box," including <em>Left 4 Dead 2</em> (melee weapons!) and <em>World of Goo</em> (think Wiimote). We've reached out to Razer to find out when a non-bundled option will be available and to see if it can share that list of 125 games with us. C'mon, <em>FreeCell</em> ...<br />
<br />
If you want to read more about the rather impressive Hydra, look no further than <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/08/razer-hydra-impressions-super-precise-motion-controllers-make-i/">our CES impressions</a>.<br />

[<strong>Update</strong>: We just heard back from Razer, who confirmed that it's "just the bundled option" for now. They also dropped us the entire list of compatible titles, which you can find alphabetically indexed after the break.]<br />

Just in case you were worried, it looks like Razer's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/switchblade">Switchblade</a> ultra-portable PC "concept" is totally, really real -- in China at the very least. Razer, Intel and <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tencent">Tencent</a> have announced "a strategic partnership aimed at expanding the entertainment possibilities for Chinese gamers" based around the Switchblade. Several of Tencent's titles, including <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/league-of-legends">League of Legends</a> and <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/dungeon-fighter-online">Dungeon Fighter Online</a>, will be optimized for the Switchblade and its magical keyboard.<br />
<br />
There's still no release date for device, with the three companies only promising that there will be updates in "the months to come." That's probably for the best, as we're fairly certain that the ability to play <em>League of Legends</em> at any time will bring civilization to a screeching halt.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/14/razer-intel-tencent-to-bring-switchblade-gaming-device-to-chin/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer, Intel, Tencent to bring Switchblade gaming device to China</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/14/razer-intel-tencent-to-bring-switchblade-gaming-device-to-chin/">Razer, Intel, Tencent to bring Switchblade gaming device to China</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 14 Apr 2011 10:00:00 EST. Razer's <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/april-fools-2011">April Fools</a> gag is aimed at players who find their <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/starcraft-ii-wings-of-liberty"><i>StarCraft</i></a> performance utterly hopeless and their <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/01/welcome-to-the-internet-graveyard/"><em>Call of Duty: Wisconsin</em></a> skills in the dumps. Were it real, the <a href="http://www.razerzone.com/talon">Razer Talon</a> would be "the world's first gaming bio-exoskeleton," capable of driving your in-game actions per minute (APM) well past the boundaries of human limitations.<br />
<br />
"The Razer Talon will learn your primary mouse and keyboard actions. The Razer Talon will take over and begin to execute your actions at a lighting fast pace," reads the Razer website. Just be sure to stock up on the also fictional Razer Snake Oil Hyperesponse Lubricant in order to slow the progress of Talon-induced tissue damage.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/02/april-fools-razers-talon-bio-exoskeleton/">April Fools: Razer's Talon Bio-Exoskeleton</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 02 Apr 2011 02:10:00 EST. Razer may be best known for its well-regarded line of angular, <em>extreme</em> gaming peripherals for the core PC gaming set - think mice, keyboards, mouse pads and yes, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/08/razer-hydra-impressions-super-precise-motion-controllers-make-i/">motion controllers</a> - but the San Diego-based company is looking to branch out into an area you may not have expected: efficient (and graphically anemic) netbook computers.<br />
<br />
While it's an unusual move for the peripheral maker, it's not a departure from their core competency. Gaming laptops may have whittled down the bulk required for a high-end gaming experience but they're still far from portable. Inversely, netbooks are steadily becoming increasingly capable laptop replacements, but fall short when performing the most demanding tasks ... like video gaming.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-switchblade-ces-2011-0/">Razer Switchblade (CES 2011)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-switchblade-ces-2011-0/#3763088"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-switchblade-09_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-switchblade-ces-2011-0/#3763089"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-switchblade-08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-switchblade-ces-2011-0/#3763090"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-switchblade-07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-switchblade-ces-2011-0/#3763091"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-switchblade-06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-switchblade-ces-2011-0/#3763092"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-switchblade-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/13/razer-switchblade-impressions-its-a-7-gaming-pc-with-an-lcd-k/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer Switchblade impressions: It's a 7" gaming PC with an LCD keyboard</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/13/razer-switchblade-impressions-its-a-7-gaming-pc-with-an-lcd-k/">Razer Switchblade impressions: It's a 7" gaming PC with an LCD keyboard</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 13 Jan 2011 20:20:00 EST. Sixense was back at CES this year, showing off its TrueMotion-powered gaming wands. While a partnership with computer gaming peripheral maker Razer was announced at last year's CES, the fruit of that partnership was on display this year, with a brand name (meet the Razer Hydra), some industrial design, and some new Valve-created content for the hardware in the form of custom <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/Portal-2/"><em>Portal 2</em></a> tech. <br />
<br />
During our hands-off tour of the still-prototype hardware, we were consistently impressed with the controller's accuracy. Imagine dual-wielding two PlayStation Move controllers except - in place of the relatively cumbersome process of requiring a PlayStation Eye to track a glowing sphere to position the controllers in 3D space - the Hydra uses a small base station that creates an electromagnetic field with a radius of about six feet. That's it. That base station serves double duty as a stand to rest the presently wired controllers on. Worry not, wire-haters, a wireless model is in the works but, much like Razer's other hardware, it's going to perfect the technology with a wired release first before chasing the wireless solution.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-hydra-ces-2011/">Razer Hydra (CES 2011)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-hydra-ces-2011/#3762220"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-hydra-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-hydra-ces-2011/#3762221"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-hydra-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-hydra-ces-2011/#3762222"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-hydra-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-hydra-ces-2011/#3762223"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-hydra-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-hydra-ces-2011/#3762224"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/ces-2011-razer-hydra-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/08/razer-hydra-impressions-super-precise-motion-controllers-make-i/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer Hydra impressions: Super-precise motion controllers make it to PC, Portal 2 support in tow</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/08/razer-hydra-impressions-super-precise-motion-controllers-make-i/">Razer Hydra impressions: Super-precise motion controllers make it to PC, Portal 2 support in tow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 08 Jan 2011 17:45:00 EST. Should you find yourself of the opinion that your Xbox 360 controller isn't precise or extreme enough, then please pay particular attention to the following sentence: <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/razer">Razer</a> has announced that its Onza line of Xbox 360 controllers will be available for pre-order beginning January 17. The <a href="http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.218523900/categoryId.54297600">standard Onza</a>, featuring backlit "Hyperesponse" face buttons, an improved d-pad and two extra programmable shoulder buttons, was actually announced <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/07/razer-wants-cut-of-xbox-360-peripheral-business/">way back in 2010</a>.<br />
<br />
Now the company has also revealed the <a href="http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.218524000/categoryId.54297600">Onza Tournament Edition</a>, which includes all the "standard" features plus analog sticks with adjustable resistance. Both controllers are also wired because, you know, lag is for <em>jerks</em>. The standard Onza will sell for $40, while the Tournament Edition will set back the <em>real</em> professionals $50.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-onza-360-controllers-1-6-10/">Razer Onza 360 controllers (1/6/10)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-onza-360-controllers-1-6-10/#3752940"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/rzronzabackvrgbwhtbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-onza-360-controllers-1-6-10/#3752941"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/rzronzafrntvrgbwhtbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-onza-360-controllers-1-6-10/#3752942"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/rzronzaleftvrgbwhtbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-onza-360-controllers-1-6-10/#3752943"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/rzronzarightvrgbwhtbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/razer-onza-360-controllers-1-6-10/#3752944"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/01/rzronzatebackvrgbwhtbg_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/06/razer-bringing-onza-professional-controllers-to-360/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Razer bringing Onza 'professional' controllers to 360</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/06/razer-bringing-onza-professional-controllers-to-360/">Razer bringing Onza 'professional' controllers to 360</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 06 Jan 2011 23:00:00 EST. <a linkindex="65" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ces-2011">CES 2011</a> is proving to be a veritable cornucopia of radical, tantalizing concepts that aren't real products just yet. For instance, PC hardware manufacturer Razer turned our heads with <a linkindex="66" href="http://www2.razerzone.com/switchblade/">the Switchblade</a> -- a 7-inch gaming tablet with a multi-touch screen and keys that change based on the game that's being played. Trust us, it's much more impressive on video -- check out the demonstration posted after the jump to see this shape-shifting magic act in motion.<br />
<br />
Sadly, Razer hasn't announced any plans to actually take the Switchblade to market, nor most of the device's technical specs. We'll try to get some answers when we stop by Razer's booth on the CES show floor. If that doesn't work, we'll try to totally steal whatever demo model they've got. Oh, wait. We probably shouldn't have said that part on the internet. You didn't hear that, <em>capiche?</em><br />

Sure, you come to Joystiq to see some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/portal-2"><em>Portal 2</em></a> -- we get it. But we've got something <em>extra</em> to spice things up: <em>Portal 2</em> being played on the big screen live at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ces-2011">CES 2011</a> with the new Razer Sixense controllers, a pair of motion-sensing sticks for PC, set to launch this year.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/05/portal-2-played-with-razers-sixense-motion-controllers/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Portal 2 played with Razer's Sixense motion controllers</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/05/portal-2-played-with-razers-sixense-motion-controllers/">Portal 2 played with Razer's Sixense motion controllers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 05 Jan 2011 18:00:00 EST. Sure, the <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/12/razer-announces-line-of-tournament-grade-starcraft-ii-peripher/">StarCraft 2</a></em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/12/razer-announces-line-of-tournament-grade-starcraft-ii-peripher/">-branded</a> Spectre mouse, Marauder keyboard and Banshee headset from Razer (all designed in collaboration with Blizzard) have other features that make them well-suited for games -- like specialized configuration utilities and quick response times -- but those aren't why anyone would buy one of these. Cool backlighting <em>is</em>.<br />
<br />
Besides, when the keyboard description lists things like "Optimized Key Travel Distance" as a selling point, "pretty lights" doesn't seem like such a minor thing to latch on to. The set will be released in the US, Europe and Korea in November, with the mouse retailing for $80 (&euro;80/94,800 won), and the keyboard and headset for $120 (&euro;120/142,800 won) each.<br />

Peripheral manufacturer Razer is taking on the brave new world of "gaming grade stimulant and nutritional supplement." Razer's new product, <a href="http://www.razerzone.com/venom/">Venom</a>, can keep gamers awake and going for over 100 hours -- however, if you do "yawn," just refuel with more and you'll be good to do.<br />
<br />
If you're into mainlining your stimulants, a three-pack of Venom costs $40 and comes with a gold-plated needle -- apparently, it's reusable and classy. If you're not into needles, there's the wussy option of purchasing for $100 a Venom nebulizer to inhale the product. Not sure if Venom is right for you? Peripheral manufacturer Razer is dipping its shaved toes in the console market, announcing "preliminary approval" from Microsoft to produce an Xbox 360 controller and headset. The $50 wired Onza -- that's the controller -- will have Razer Hyperesponse technology that'll "give faster actuation and a crisp, tactile feel." What's that now? Oh, oh, we pressy the buttons and they make the things happen? Gotcha! Why not just say that? That's what we want from a controller.<br />
<br />
The Razer Chimaera headset, which will retail for $130, features 5.1 channel virtual surround sound. The headset also allows "multiple Razer base stations to be connected to create a direct, private communication channel for in-game team conversations" -- or the rest of us can just start a party chat? Best part, though, the "circumaural design of the headset allows for optimum noise isolation for long-hours of comfortable gameplay." Thus allowing gamers to totally tune out their parents, spouse, or crying and hungry child.<br />

Razer has announced that it will cater to these <em>hardcore</em> gamers with a line of <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/starcraft-ii"><em>StarCraft II</em></a> peripherals, including a mouse, keyboard, and headset.<br />
<br />
According to the <a href="http://press.razerzone.com/content/view/401/101/">press release</a>, the devices will actually be a little <em>more</em> than cheap USB peripherals with the logo on them: Razer is working with Blizzard to develop the line, which will have "unique exclusive features to cater to the <em>StarCraft II</em> community." They should be <em>really good</em> thanks to the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/05/starcraft-2-delayed-until-2010/">extra time</a> the two companies have to work on them.<br />
<br />
Razer is also releasing a <em>StarCraft II</em> messenger bag, which may or may not <em>also</em> be "tournament-grade." Lucky ticket buyers and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/09/ozzy-osbourne-performing-at-blizzcon-2009/">Ozzy Osbourne</a> will be able to get a look at the bag at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/blizzcon">BlizzCon</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/12/razer-announces-line-of-tournament-grade-starcraft-ii-peripher/">Razer announces line of 'tournament-grade' StarCraft II peripherals (and also a bag)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 12 Aug 2009 11:36:00 EST.
