For <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/keiji-inafune">Keiji Inafune</a>, creator of the Mega Man series and the <em>brainnnnnz</em> behind the upcoming zombie action game, <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/game/yaiba">Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z</a></em>, that fundamental game is <em>The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past</em> for the Super Nintendo. As important games go, we'd agree that <em>Link to the Past</em> is definitely on the list (and handily available on <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/5oMtHuB3aOHoawfC6brZ6myQYnE4flQ_">Virtual Console</a>).<br /><br />Meanwhile, <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/hiroshi-kawano">Hiroshi Kawano</a>, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, picked <em>Crash Bandicoot</em>, which was conveniently (perhaps <em>too conveniently</em>) just released as a PSOne Classic for the PlayStation Vita. While it may not be the game many would have picked, it certainly has a memorable spot in PlayStation history, especially considering its developer, <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/naughty-dog">Naughty Dog</a>, went on to create the phenomenal Uncharted series.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/26/keiji-inafunes-favorite-game-is-zelda-a-link-to-the-past/">Keiji Inafune's favorite game is Zelda: A Link to the Past</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 26 Sep 2012 14:30:00 EST. I know, it's not exactly the sort of thing worthy of an after-school special or a heart-warming episode of <em>Blossom</em>. Still, I churned away many, many hours with friends - some I knew personally, others I'd only met online - slaying dragons with my <a href="http://www.pso-world.com/items.php?op=viewarticle&amp;artid=137">Lavis Cannon</a> and grinding my <a href="http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&amp;artid=1184">HuCast</a> all the way up to level 100.<br /><br />Playing <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/phantasy-star-online-2"><em>Phantasy Star Online 2</em></a> on the PlayStation Vita and Android at the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tgs-2012">Tokyo Game Show</a> instantly evoked those old memories and, honestly, it's a little terrifying. As someone who works from home, the fact that a game like this could always be within arm's reach is deeply worrying.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/phantasy-star-online-2-0/">Phantasy Star Online 2</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/phantasy-star-online-2-0/#5141857"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/pso201_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/phantasy-star-online-2-0/#5141858"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/pso202_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/phantasy-star-online-2-0/#5141859"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/pso203_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/phantasy-star-online-2-0/#5141860"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/pso204_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/phantasy-star-online-2-0/#5141861"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/07/pso205_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/25/relapsing-with-phantasy-star-online-2-for-vita-and-mobile/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Relapsing with Phantasy Star Online 2 for Vita and mobile</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/25/relapsing-with-phantasy-star-online-2-for-vita-and-mobile/">Relapsing with Phantasy Star Online 2 for Vita and mobile</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 25 Sep 2012 21:30:00 EST. Finally, someone in Hollywood has the vision to make a Resident Evil movie that actually resembles the video games, and it looks to be an action-packed gore fest to rival Liam Neeson's latest - wait, what? This is a trailer for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/resident-evil-6"><em>Resident Evil 6</em></a>, the video game, and not a high-budget action-drama flick? Huh.<br /><br />Well, if you can't have a movie like the game, might as well make the game more like a movie. The above trailer comes directly from the Tokyo Game Show, where it was shown exclusively at Capcom's booth. That must have been <em>intense</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/25/resident-evil-6-tgs-trailer-shows-drama-in-action/">Resident Evil 6 TGS trailer shows drama in action</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 25 Sep 2012 17:30:00 EST. Here's hoping that the director's goal of creating an accessible fighting game involves making it accessible in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/15/namco-trademark-points-to-us-release-for-jojos-bizarre-adventur/">countries that aren't Japan</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/25/jojos-bizarre-adventure-all-star-battle-director-aiming-for-ca/">JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle director aiming for casual appeal</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 25 Sep 2012 17:00:00 EST. Over the past several years, we've seen them pop up on virtually every platform, from the Xbox and PS3 to Vita and 3DS to mobile phones. <em>Box! Open Me</em> for the PlayStation Vita is a little different, however, in that it challenges players to work together to solve puzzles.<br /><br />It's a very simple concept - two players coordinate to open puzzle boxes - but the simple act of cooperating in an augmented reality game is intriguing to say the least.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/24/cooperative-reality-hands-on-with-box-open-me-for-ps-vita/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cooperative reality: Hands-on with Box! The device looks sleek, like something out of the future, the sort of streamlined future that movies have been promising us since <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolis_(film)">Metropolis</a>. Actually strapping the thing to your head is a slightly different experience.<br /><br />The unit had a tendency to slide down my nose during my hands-on session at <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tgs-2012">TGS</a>, though this was alleviated somewhat with the straps tightened. Essentially, the entire weight of the HMZ-T2 is distributed between a pad that rests on the forehead and the strap that circles the user's head. Even with straps tightened, it can be difficult to keep the HMZ-T2 stable, which is especially important to experience the headset's 3D display. I found myself having to adjust it frequently.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/24/strapping-on-sonys-hmz-t2-personal-3d-viewer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Strapping on Sony's HMZ-T2 Personal 3D Viewer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/24/strapping-on-sonys-hmz-t2-personal-3d-viewer/">Strapping on Sony's HMZ-T2 Personal 3D Viewer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 24 Sep 2012 15:00:00 EST. I had no idea what was going on in the story (not that I ever really know what's going on in a Metal Gear game anyway), and the purpose of my mission was never clear.<br /><br />With the narrative out of the picture, I was left only with the gameplay itself. Thankfully, based on what I experienced of the Kojima Productions / Platinum Games collaboration, that was <em>more</em> than enough.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-tgs-2012/">Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (TGS 2012)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-tgs-2012/#5302335"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/mgr-ss17_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-tgs-2012/#5302337"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/mgr-ss19_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-tgs-2012/#5306150"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/mgr120920battlekicking1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-tgs-2012/#5306155"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/mgr120920ninija-run_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-tgs-2012/#5306156"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/mgr120920shinogi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/24/getting-some-wet-work-done-in-metal-gear-rising-revengeance/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Getting some wet work done in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/24/getting-some-wet-work-done-in-metal-gear-rising-revengeance/">Getting some wet work done in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 24 Sep 2012 12:35:00 EST. This year is no exception: 223,753 people attended TGS 2012, up from 222,668 in 2011 and 207,647 in 2010.<br /><br />Oddly, attendance on the first public day, Saturday, was way up (94,989 people versus 86,251 last year), but fewer people attended on Sunday than in 2011. Perhaps the Monster Hunter lines were more efficient, and more people got that out of the way on Saturday.<br /><br />TGS will return to the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan from September 19-23 next year.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/24/tokyo-game-show-breaks-attendance-records-again/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tokyo Game Show breaks attendance records again</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/24/tokyo-game-show-breaks-attendance-records-again/">Tokyo Game Show breaks attendance records again</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 24 Sep 2012 12:00:00 EST. In part one (above), we ask about how Sony plans to push the PlayStation Vita, which was a big focus of the company's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/19/live-from-sonys-tgs-2012-press-conference/">press conference</a> this year (both at TGS and E3). We also take a second to ask about the latest <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/09/stiq-figures-august-27-september-2-tabletop-gaming-edition/">Hatsune Miku</a> game, which boosted Vita sales by <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/09/stiq-figures-august-27-september-2-tabletop-gaming-edition/">over 300 percent</a> when it launched earlier this month.<br /><br />In the second part of the interview, Kawano discusses social games. Social games are huge in Japan right now, so where does Sony - a company busy trying to sell dedicated gaming hardware - fit into a market steadily shifting toward mobile phones and tables? The game will launch some time in 2013.<br /><br />The lone detail known about the game is that its theme song will be sung by Haruka Chisuga, the winner of the 2012 "Miss Macross 30" competition. Had we been aware of the competition that bears the name of the new game, this <em>Macross 30</em> announcement would have been less of a surprise.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/23/macross-30-coming-from-namco-bandai/">Macross 30 coming from Namco Bandai</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 23 Sep 2012 21:00:00 EST. Mega Mushrooms, Poison Mushrooms and other classics litter the floor of a standard match, each performing their expected function when walked on by a character. The results are, predictably, completely hilarious and wacky.<br /><br />Absorbing mushrooms (or other power-ups like Invincibility Stars) changes the dynamic of the match, as larger characters do more damage and smaller characters move more quickly, for instance. We asked Harada if balance was a consideration while designing Mushroom Battle mode, and he told us that breaking the traditional conventions of Tekken is what makes the mode so entertaining.<br /><br />At present, it is unknown whether the mode will be online-enabled - in fact, Harada was unable to answer any questions regarding the Wii U's online infrastructure - but we're sure to learn more over the coming months.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/22/tekken-tag-tournament-2-wii-u-edition-features-nintendo-themed/">Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition features Nintendo-themed 'Mushroom Battle' mode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 22 Sep 2012 19:30:00 EST. He also stressed that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/10/tekken-tag-tournament-2-dlc-characters-found-on-xbox-360-disc/">the DLC content recently discovered on the Xbox 360 version's disc</a> does not represent the game's entire DLC road map, and that "not all of the content that we've planned for the PS3 and 360 has been revealed yet, so there's still some stuff left."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/21/tekken-tag-tournament-2-wii-u-edition-launching-with-then-avail/">Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition launching with then-available DLC characters unlocked</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Sep 2012 17:30:00 EST. Intrinsically, I knew it was made by a different team than the first two games. <em>Lost Planet 3</em> has a distinctly western feel to it, and its trappings should be comfortable to anyone that has played a third-person shooter made in the last few years. Left trigger to aim, right trigger to shoot - dodge, take cover, reload, repeat. Familiar, perhaps, but by no means is that <em>a bad thing</em>.<br /><br />Lost Planet has, in fact, changed hands, moving from Capcom itself to California developer Spark Unlimited. It's too early to tell if the change will give the franchise the shot in the arm it needs after <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/06/review-lost-planet-2/"><em>Lost Planet 2</em></a>, but what I experienced seems like a step in the right direction.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lost-planet-3-gamescom-2012/">Lost Planet 3 (Gamescom 2012)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lost-planet-3-gamescom-2012/#5207966"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/08/lp3-jimvsspitterbmpjpgcopy_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lost-planet-3-gamescom-2012/#5207967"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/08/lp3-mirasightingbmpjpgcopy_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lost-planet-3-gamescom-2012/#5207968"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/08/lp3-rigarrivingbmpjpgcopy_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lost-planet-3-gamescom-2012/#5207969"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/08/lp3-rigvsspitterbmpjpgcopy_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/lost-planet-3-gamescom-2012/#5207970"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/08/lp3-rigvswaspsbmpjpgcopy_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/21/drilling-for-a-new-core-in-lost-planet-3/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Drilling for a new core in Lost Planet 3</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/21/drilling-for-a-new-core-in-lost-planet-3/">Drilling for a new core in Lost Planet 3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Sep 2012 14:00:00 EST. The company divulged little else about the expansion, called 'Dark Arisen,' beyond the above teaser. We also have a few appropriately dark screenshots below the break.<br /><br />Capcom also tells us that two free modes are being patched into the RPG later this year. Following the 'Easy' mode released <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/01/dragons-dogma-patch-to-add-easy-mode/">last month</a>, the 'Hard' mode cranks things up the other way but with the promise of extra loot. In the grand Circle Pad Pro tradition, Capcom is showing off the peripheral with the latest in the Monster Hunter series, <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/monster-hunter-4"><em>Monster Hunter 4</em></a>.<br /><br />Our co-buddies at <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/20/circle-pad-pro-3ds-xl-hands-on/">Engadget</a> got some hands on time with device, noting that it does make the system bulkier, but it's less of a concern this time around, as the 3DS XL is already pretty large to begin with (what with the <em>XL</em> and all). The unit is also very comfortable, though it suffers from one flaw seen in the 3DS model: it blocks the cartridge slot. Head over to Engadget for some fresh images.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/21/engadget-tries-out-the-3ds-xl-circle-pad-pro/">Engadget tries out the 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Sep 2012 09:00:00 EST. Thing is, we couldn't help but be distracted by the antics of producer Tomoaki Ayano, who absolutely steals the show. Not only does he get super animated when fighting on the touch screen, but he also shows off an array of faces that would make Jack Black jealous. It looks like working with the wonderfully bananas <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/yoshinori-ono">Yoshinori Ono</a> has rubbed off on Ayano.<br /><br />Oh, should you be interested in the actual game you can also check out some shiny new screenshots below. The Vita version of <em>Street Fighter X Tekken</em> arrives on October 23, while impatient types may be heartened by the knowledge of an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/20/psa-street-fighter-x-tekken-mobile-is-available-for-ios-now/">iOS version out today</a>.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-tgs-2012/">Street Fighter X Tekken Vita (TGS 2012)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-tgs-2012/#5302243"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/sfxtvitatgs001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-tgs-2012/#5302244"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/sfxtvitatgs002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-tgs-2012/#5302245"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/sfxtvitatgs003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-tgs-2012/#5302246"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/sfxtvitatgs004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-tgs-2012/#5302247"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/sfxtvitatgs005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/20/street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-producer-gives-his-all-in-new-trail/">Street Fighter X Tekken Vita producer gives his all in new trailer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Sep 2012 18:30:00 EST. At any rate, <em>Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R</em> will be coming to the PlayStation Vita sometime in 2013.<br /><br />Not to be confused with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus"><em>Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus</em></a>, which is coming to Japanese PS3 and XBLA sometime this October, <em>Accent Core Plus R</em> is the revised version of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guilty_Gear_XX#.CE.9B_Core_Plus"><em>Accent Core Plus</em></a> will hit Japanese arcades near the end of this month.<br /><br />I played a quick round of <em>Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R</em> while visiting Arc System Works' booth at the Tokyo Game Show and am thrilled to report that the port feels very solid. Framerates were consistent and my old Sol Badguy bread-and-butter combos came off without a hitch. As is the case with Guilty Gear announcements these days, no information was available regarding a North American launch. Time to write another letter, I guess.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-vita-tgs-2012/">Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R (Vita, TGS 2012)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-vita-tgs-2012/#5302482"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/1-1348153355_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-vita-tgs-2012/#5302483"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/2-1348153363_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-vita-tgs-2012/#5302484"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/3-1348153365_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-vita-tgs-2012/#5302485"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/vsslash_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-vita-tgs-2012/#5302486"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/09/vs1_thumbnail.png" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/20/guilty-gear-xx-accent-core-plus-r-coming-to-japanese-vitas-in-20/">Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R coming to Japanese Vitas in 2013</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Sep 2012 17:30:00 EST. Speaking during a group interview session at a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/19/take-a-tour-of-namco-bandais-tokyo-headquarters/">pre-TGS event at Namco's headquarters</a> in Tokyo, Hino noted that he'd like to work with Studio Ghibli again. "If there is a potential opportunity to work with them again," he said, through an interpreter, "yes, we'd like to work on some joint projects with them in the future - if there is, of course, a possibility."<br /><br />Concerning exactly what sort of project he'd like to pursue, we asked if Level 5 has had any discussions about adapting existing Studio Ghibli properties into video games. Hino said that he would love to but, naturally, Ghibli would have to approve any such projects. Corporate approvals aren't a very entertaining topic of conversation though, so we just went ahead and asked which Studio Ghibli film he would like to adapt. Given the opportunity, he said, he would adapt <em>Castle in the Sky</em>.<br /><br />That strange rustling you just heard was the sound of millions of fingers being crossed.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/20/level-5s-hino-wants-to-adapt-studio-ghiblis-castle-in-the-sky/">Level-5's Hino wants to adapt Studio Ghibli's Castle in the Sky</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Sep 2012 12:40:00 EST.
