It's based on the existing Mercenaries mode for consoles, but with "more enemies on screen than ever before." Ada Wong's campaign also comes standard with the PC version of <em>Resident Evil 6</em>.<br /><br />If that all sounds wonderful, see if your rig is up to snuff with <a href="http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/pc-games/resident-evil-6">Nvidia's free PC test</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/25/resident-evil-6-gets-a-free-pc-benchmark-test/">Resident Evil 6 gets a free PC benchmark test</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Feb 2013 23:00:00 EST. Our Galaxy Nexus, for instance, ranked in at the "High Performance" level, churning out an average of 43.9 FPS at 1196 x 720. During testing, framerates peaked just below 60 FPS and momentarily bottomed out around 18 FPS.<br /><br />As with the iOS release, there isn't a tremendous amount to actually <em>do</em> in Epic Citadel, aside from looking at fluttery banners and lens flares, and its on-screen twinstick controls are only recommended for those who enjoy being 100 percent out of control of their movement. Still, it's very pretty. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/epic-citadel-android/">Epic Citadel (Android)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/epic-citadel-android/#5603119"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/epiccitadel-droidscreens1280x80001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/epic-citadel-android/#5603120"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/epiccitadel-droidscreens1280x80002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/epic-citadel-android/#5603121"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/epiccitadel-droidscreens1280x80003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/epic-citadel-android/#5603122"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/epiccitadel-droidscreens1280x80004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/epic-citadel-android/#5603123"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/epiccitadel-droidscreens1280x80005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/29/epic-citadel-tech-demo-now-on-android/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>'Epic Citadel' tech demo now on Android</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/29/epic-citadel-tech-demo-now-on-android/">'Epic Citadel' tech demo now on Android</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 29 Jan 2013 23:00:00 EST. The Mercenaries: No Mercy (unofficial name: "The Naries") is based on the existing Mercenaries mode, but with "more enemies on screen than ever before." Working with Platige Image, Plastic made a short movie about a giant cat attacking a city, something Datura director Michal Staniszewski said he's "dreamt about for some time."<br /><br />The Vimeo clip above is pre-rendered, of course, but the actual file will be displayed in real time on users' computers to gauge GPU performance. Given that the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/playstation-phone">PlayStation Phone</a> has yet to be officially announced -- though, ya know, <em>come on</em> -- you probably shouldn't look disappointed that Qualcomm's Neocore benchmark app only showed the phone averaging 24.4 frames per second. As <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/09/exclusive-playstation-phone-zeus-z1-prototype-benchmarked-on/">Engadget</a> points out, the hardware is likely not final and neither is that software.<br />
<br />
That said, another clear video of the PlayStation Phone in action certainly doesn't hurt, right? At the very least you'll get to bask in your monitor's warm glow for another few moments before venturing back into the freezing tundra that is the outdoors during this part of the year. Maybe this time next year you can at least bring your PlayStation Phone along with you.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/09/playstation-phone-prototype-video-reveals-3d-benchmark-results/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>PlayStation Phone prototype video reveals 3D benchmark results</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/09/playstation-phone-prototype-video-reveals-3d-benchmark-results/">PlayStation Phone prototype video reveals 3D benchmark results</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 09 Dec 2010 20:00:00 EST. Primate Labs ran a few benchmarks under <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/03/yellow-dog-linux-now-supports-wi-fi-on-the-ps3/">Linux</a> and the results show the PS3 being beat by a Power Mac G5 1.6GHz in all tests except memory performance. We have to keep in mind, the tests only prove the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/09/sony-says-cell-can-handle-branching-for-ai-better-than-the-re/">Cell</a> is not a wonderful "general-purpose" CPU. And lest anyone forget, the purpose of the PS3 is to play games! <br /><br />Cell-specific optimizations are going to be implemented in a future Geekbench test, so once round 2 comes along, we'll get a taste of what's really cooking underneath the hood of our favorite console.
