Costco UK is <a href="http://www.costco.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/cos_1,cos_1.2,cos_1.2.4/140490">selling</a> an <a href="http://www.fmcginternational.com/">FMCG International</a> F1 racing simulator for &pound;89,999.89 (including delivery and installation!), or $138,338.83, which is still significantly cheaper than owning an actual Formula 1 car. We also assume it's probably a <em>tiny</em> bit safer and easier to maintain, but that's just a hunch.<br />
<br />
The body is available in "your own choice of colour" and is made out of various combinations of composite materials, alloys and carbon fiber, with real wheels, tyres, chromed-out exhaust tips and <em>everything</em>. There's no engine or transmission, obviously, but it does come with one of those totally awesome detachable steering wheels.<br />
<br />
The gaming portion of the rig is powered by an Intel Core i7, an SSD of unknown capacity, 16 gigs of RAM and a non-specified graphics card outputting to three 23-inch adjustable TFT monitors. Meanwhile, sweet jams are pumped through a 5.1 audio system into both the car's body <em>and</em> your body, since the subwoofer is located directly behind the driver's seat.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/18/costco-uk-selling-full-size-f1-simulator-for-just-90-000/">Costco UK selling full-size F1 simulator for just £90,000</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 18 May 2013 13:30:00 EST. The bulk retailer is selling the Deluxe system right now for <a href="http://www.costco.com/Nintendo-Wii-U-32-GB-Deluxe-Set.product.100021626.html">$299.97</a>, and the Basic system for <a href="http://www.costco.com/Nintendo-Wii-U-8GB-Basic-Set.product.100021629.html">$244.97</a>, a savings of about $50 off MSRP.<br /><br />With <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/31/wii-u-price-cut-ruled-out/">no official price drop incoming</a>, this is likely to be the best deal on the system for a while - and your best chance to get a Wii U and literally all the frozen pizza your body can physically carry at the same time.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/31/wii-u-50-off-at-costco/">Wii U $50 off at Costco</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 31 Jan 2013 17:00:00 EST. <br />Is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/12/14/mercury-still-making-its-way-to-wii/"><span style="font-style: italic;">Mercury Meltdown Revolution</span></a> a part of your Wii collection? If not, it absolutely <span style="font-style: italic;">should </span>be, for Ignition's addictive puzzler must be one of the most criminally overlooked gems on the platform. And now Costco has it for <span style="font-style: italic;">$10.99</span>, along with a bunch of other titles that range from pretty damn good to shovelware (oh, hai <span style="font-style: italic;">Pool Party</span>). <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/16/angelina-jolie-buys-ghost-squad-promotes-violence/">Angelina Jolie favorite</a> <span style="font-style: italic;">Ghost Squad</span> is also on sale, giving you a chance to knock terrorists from their speeding, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/10/ghost-squad-stands-out-from-the-crowd/">swan-shaped jet skis</a>, <span style="font-style: italic;">and</span> save money in the process. If a better offer has come along this <span style="font-style: italic;">century</span>, we've yet to see it.<br /><br />Below are the six titles that most stood out to us (the full list is past the jump); we expect at least two of these to be in your house by June 22nd, when the sale ends:<br />
<ul>
    <li><span style="font-style: italic;">Ghost Squad</span></li>
    <li><span style="font-style: italic;"></span><span style="font-style: italic;">Sonic and the Secret Rings</span><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></li>
    <li><span style="font-style: italic;">Sega Bass Fishing</span></li>
    <li><span style="font-style: italic;"></span><span style="font-style: italic;">Mercury Meltdown: Revolution</span><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></li>
    <li><span style="font-style: italic;">Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz</span><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></li>
    <li><span style="font-style: italic;">SSX Blur</span></li>

California is one of our great states that stays abreast of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/17/mizuguchi-working-on-al-gore-environmentalism-project/">environmental issues</a> and presents propositions to ensure a greener society. One proposition in particular, promotes clean drinking water with legislation to keep toxic chemicals out of consumer products. Well apparently, someone forgot to inform <a href="http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11213066&amp;whse=BC&amp;topnav=&amp;browse=&amp;s=1">Costco</a> that the PS3 console doesn't use gasoline and is packaged as a solid, which makes it impossible to consume as a liquid or get mixed in with the drinking water. According to this advertisement, Costco has included a reference to California's <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_65_(1986)">Proposition 65</a> in order to inform any prospective PS3 buyer that the console could be toxic because of its use of gasoline, a highly flammable (and not very tasty) fossil fuel. We've looked (twice) and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/29/sony-working-on-new-80gb-ps3/">haven't yet</a> found a gas tank or opening marked "fuel" on our PS3. Now, we suppose there <em>might</em> be some funky materials under that sleek hood, but even so, the PS3 doesn't appeal to us as being edible. Anyone else find a gas tank included in their PS3, or dreamt of a PS3 between two slices of rye with lettuce? Please, do tell.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://digg.com/playstation_3/Gasoline_Powers_PS3_According_to_CostCo">digg</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/25/costco-sells-gasoline-powered-ps3/">Costco sells gasoline powered PS3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 May 2007 18:30:00 EST.
