If you're a single male hoping to have some casual sex with a large group of PAX attendees you have, tragically, waited too long. Couples, on the other hand, are still encouraged to break out the Mana-brand personal lubricant, head over to <a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cas/1919794030.html">Craigslist</a> and <em>start the revolution</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/26/pax-nerd-orgy-no-longer-accepting-single-male-participants/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>PAX nerd orgy no longer accepting single male participants</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/26/pax-nerd-orgy-no-longer-accepting-single-male-participants/">PAX nerd orgy no longer accepting single male participants</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 26 Aug 2010 17:45:00 EST. The sellers were turned over to the store's loss prevention department.<br /> <br /> <em>That</em> bust led to one of the prospective buyers, named Christian Del Amo, who was raising money on a forum to buy the bundle (allegedly) for the purpose of copying the game and selling the copies, along with other pirated games, on hard drives. IPCyberCrime turned <em>that</em> case over to the Miami-Dade Police Department, who <a href="http://egvsys.metro-dade.com:1608/wwwserv/crts/IPSAWISD.DIA?BALPHA=0&amp;BGAMMA=0&amp;PAGEDIR=F&amp;PAGEN=0&amp;PROCESS=D&amp;L_NAME=del%20amo%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&amp;F_NAME=%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&amp;M_NAME=%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&amp;INITIME=655&amp;NAME=DELAMO,%20CHRISTIAN%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&amp;IMTLOC=TGKCC%20%20%20&amp;ALPHA=10229701&amp;GAMMA=24&amp;DELTA=594121">arrested Del Amo</a>. <br /> <br /> Obviously, this demonstrates one reason (aside from the whole morality thing) why you shouldn't try to make a business of selling pirated games. Activision has enough money to hire a private investigator, and is <em>not</em> afraid to use it.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/06/activision-catches-both-pirates-and-thieves-in-modern-warfare-2/">Activision catches both pirates and thieves in Modern Warfare 2 investigation</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 06 Nov 2009 21:00:00 EST. There, shining like a beacon of justice atop Mt. Craigslist, <em>we saw it</em>. Two men from the Washington D.C. area had poured their hearts out on a digital classified ad, looking for women tailored specifically to their carnal needs. Their demands were innocent enough, until the inclusion of the immediate disqualification of "Obese Girls (try drinking water for a change)." This shallow (and confusing) item required immediate karmic retribution. As we pondered our involvement in this matter, <em>we saw it</em>:<br />
<br />
"Looking for potentially LTR (long-term relationship) with college educated women around our same age, to meet initially via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/home"><em>Playstation Home</em></a>."<br />
<br />
Our minds raced with the retaliatory possibilities -- <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/12/how-to-perform-quincying-in-playstation-home/">shapeshifting</a> would most certainly be involved, that much is given. But to what extent could this vulnerability be exploited? An hour of feminine manipulation, and then ... <em>the switch</em>? A day of personal exchanges before ... <em>the exchange</em>? A week? A month? <em>A year</em>?<br />
<br />
With solemn determination, we gathered our courage -- and became unspoken executors of the <em>Longest Con</em>.<br />

Do you like your video games with an extra helping of naked, bald dude? It appears as though a game studio in LA will be fulfilling your desires come August 1. <a href="http://supererogatory.tumblr.com/post/145925567/seeking-3-caucasian-male-model-actors-for-video">Superannuation</a> caught the incredible <a href="http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/tlg/1275512216.html">Craigslist ad</a> that we couldn't help but share with the world, calling for bald men who are willing to "shave all body hair."<br /><br />Specifically, the casting calls for "Caucasian male model/actors for [a] video game shoot," and, in typical video game fashion, needs them in a group of three. Things just get steamier as the description continues, detailing the wardrobe, a "nude-colored thong," and a heads-up that applicants must be comfortable being "posed close to other men." You throw a disco ball and some roller skates into that mix, and you got yourself a party! And no, there is no word on whether or not Mark Wahlberg is involved. Yet.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://supererogatory.tumblr.com/post/145925567/seeking-3-caucasian-male-model-actors-for-video">Superannuation</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/22/three-bald-naked-guys-needed-in-la-immediately/">Three bald, naked guys needed in LA immediately</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 22 Jul 2009 02:00:00 EST. Craigslist provides <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/craigslist">another bit</a> of strange, gaming-related <em>news,</em> this time with <a href="http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/tfr/1085326434.html">EDP Casting</a> sending out a casting call for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Punch-Out/">Punch-Out!!</a></em> lookalikes. The post is looking for New York natives to fill the boxing gloves of Piston Honda, King Hippo, Great Tiger and, of course, Little Mac. The listing doesn't specify what the casting call is for but we'd like to dream the entire classic NES title would be put to music and run on Broadway -- with the help of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Lloyd_Webber">Andrew Lloyd Webber</a>, of course.<br /> <br /> If you think you've got the chops to jump into Mac's pink sweatsuit, make sure to take note that EDP is looking for someone with "real fire" in their eyes. So, you really have to <em>want</em> the part ... or at least undergo <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/nightwatchfireineyes.jpg">some experimental surgery</a>.<br /> <br /> [Via <a href="http://gonintendo.com/?p=77253">GoNintendo</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/31/casting-call-looking-for-punch-out-lookalikes/">Casting call looking for 'Punch-Out!!' lookalikes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 31 Mar 2009 06:00:00 EST. This is quite possibly the strangest tip we've ever received on PSP Fanboy. A Brooklyn native is looking to purchase a PSP. In exchange, he's offering his 4-foot long python. The snake is "very friendly" and even "comes w/ tank." What a steal! He's even willing to take a broken system! Craig Newmark, the cat who founded Craigslist, is hosting a remotely-controllable robotic video camera from the back porch of his San Francisco pad. Thrill seekers can log on to help discover, photograph, and classify <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000402/">wild birds</a> of the Sutro Forest using CONE technology -- Collaborative Observatories for Natural Environments. CONE puts the "MM" in this <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/20/shakespeare-the-mmog/">MMOG</a> by allowing a number of users to share the webcam at the same time. Players also <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/12/wack-xbox-360-achievements-top-10-style/">earn points</a> for photographing and identifying rare species.<br /><br />While we admit the scientific and environmental applications for this "game" are vast, forgive us if we stick to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wow"><em>World of Warcraft</em></a> for the time being. If bird watching is your bag, however, mark your 2007 Wild Birds of Alderaan Calendar for the April 23rd launch.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://gaming.engadget.com/2007/04/20/craigslist-founder-hosts-webcam-for-mmo-birdwatching/">Engadget</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/20/birdwatching-mmo-to-bore-excite-us-to-death/">Birdwatching MMOG to bore (excite) us to death</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 20 Apr 2007 15:59:00 EST. This morning, tipster David Phillips pointed us to <a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/266955069.html">this interesting Craigslist listing</a> offering a PS3 and two games for "a car or parts and labor on my jeep." A quick search finds a couple of <a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/264303296.html">other</a> <a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/ele/266605338.html">listings</a> offering up a PS3 in exchange for a new ride or money to fix an existing ride. There are also some postings going the other way, offering a <a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/car/266577582.html">1987 Volkswagon Golf</a>, a <a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/bar/266536448.html">1991 Mazda Protege</a> and even a <a href="http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/264917982.html">1968 Ford Falcon</a> in exchange for a PS3 or other electronics.</p>
<p>Apparently entertainment is more important than mobility for some traders, which got us wondering what else people would be willing to give up for Sony's super-system. Food? Shelter? Warmth? <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumpelstiltskin">First born</a>? What would you give up for a PS3?</p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/23/trade-your-car-for-a-ps3/">Trade your car for a PS3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Jan 2007 11:25:00 EST. Apparently, dozens of posters are looking to trade their PlayStation 3s for a Wii and some extra spending cash.<br /><br />A quick scan of the <a href="http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=wii%20PS3%20trade">trade offers</a> in the San Francisco area shows that most of the offers are looking for a Wii and roughly $350 in exchange for their PS3. Others are looking to trade their Sony system for <a href="http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/253161140.html">two Wiis</a> or offering <a href="http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/ele/253249714.html">slightly more ludicrous exchanges</a>. There are also some listings offering to <a href="http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/252481775.html">trade their Wiis for a PS3</a>, but not nearly as many came up in our searches.<br /><br />What's motivating all these trading offers? McMaster theorizes the traders are completists looking to dump a second Sony system for a hard-to-find Wii or single owners disappointed with the PS3s lackluster lineup. For some, though, the <a href="http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bar/252574296.html">explanation</a> is a simple misunderstanding: "I made a grand mistake in getting my kids a gift for xmas. I thought they wanted a ps3, but rather they wanted a wii." There's no need to argue, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI0dCVwdedE">parents just don't understand</a>.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/technology/archives/2006/12/24/ps3s_being_traded_for_wiis.html">Guardian GamesBlog</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/12/25/craigslisters-trading-ps3-for-wii-money/">Craigslisters trading PS3 for Wii + money</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Dec 2006 13:45:00 EST. According to our tipster, the starting bid was $300. Unfortunately, the auction was
pulled before we could get a look.<br /><br />However, moments ago, we were tipped off by another reader who had
discovered a similar sale on craigslist. As it turns out, it's the same pair of badges, now being offered for $1,000!
Here's the post:<br /><br />"<em>I have a pair of E3 Badges I am selling. I had these posted on Ebay but the ESA
pulled the auction. Purchasing these will get you onto the show floor of E3 2006. My manager and I will fly down to
L.A. and pick up the badge holders with our ID's. You will not have to show ID at any point from there on out. Our
travel expenses are included in the badge price. The pair of badges is $1000 obo.
