Minecraft Creepers (sorta) invade Awesomenauts

Look, Creepers are dangerous enough on their own - people don't need to be going around giving them powered suits of armor like Ronimo Games has done in its latest Awesomenauts update, which is now live on Steam. Well, technically it's not a Creeper, but rather a Creeper skin for existing 'naut Clunk. Still, creepers shouldn't have a role model like this to look up to.

The Creeper Clunk skin can only be acquired by finding someone wearing it in-game and killing them, thus becoming "infected" with it. Since the skin can't be bought or obtained otherwise, we expect that equipping it will be somewhat akin to painting a giant bullseye on your chest. Which is how it should be, honestly, since all Creepers deserve to die.

All Creepers deserve to die.

What better way to improve the experience of terrified, panicked sprinting than by adorning your life-saving sneakers with the grim vissage of the eldritch monstrosity you're running from? None, we say, and gaming-inspired custom footwear designed KyozoKicks agrees with us, it seems.

Originally intended to be worn to this month's Gamescom trade show, these Minecraft Vans Slip-Ons are being auctioned on eBay to finance the artist's computer repairs. The size-9.5 men's/11 women's classics were "made with the intention to be worn," and have been finished with a water-resistant clear-coat, meaning that you won't have to worry about ruining your one-off kicks as you desperately try to outrun an explosive death.

Tired of alarm companies failing you, and of man's best friend running away? So was Chris, creator of the motion-activated "Attack Creeper." Pulled from the wild world of Minecraft, the real-life version of the game's Creeper is far less terrifying. He won't, for instance, murder you in a clandestine mine.

Combining a "cheap RC car," a PIR sensor, several cardboard boxes, and a melange of other electronic bits (not to mention a good amount of ingenuity), Chris' Creeper not only defends his house, but also terrorizes his neighbors. As seen above, Chris likes to place the Creeper in very appropriate locations. Head past the break to see a video of the monster in action.
