The port is based on the Xbox 360 version, and will use Aksys Games' North American localization.<br /><br /><em>Agarest</em> combines strategy-RPG gameplay with elements of dating simulation games, with a "<a href="http://www.aksysgames.com/agarest/index.php?page=Soul%20Breed">Soul Breed</a>" system in which you attempt to build a relationship with one of the heroines of each generation, with your relationship resulting in different playable characters in the next generation. <br /><br />This is a slightly awkward time for Ghostlight to announce this port, as well as plans to port other console games to PC, as the company's most recent release, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/03/devil-survivor-overclocked-eu-busted-ghostlight-working-on-it/"><em>Devil Survivor Overclocked</em></a>, suffers from game-breaking bugs - and that just went from 3DS to 3DS.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/05/ghostlight-porting-record-of-agarest-war-to-pc/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ghostlight porting Record of Agarest War to PC</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/05/ghostlight-porting-record-of-agarest-war-to-pc/">Ghostlight porting Record of Agarest War to PC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 05 Apr 2013 18:45:00 EST. We haven't given up though and we're currently looking into several different ways of making this fantastic game available to you all." <br /><br />One of the "several different ways" under consideration is the possibility of Ghostlight offering a Collector's Edition directly through its website, a strategy the publisher <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/02/shin-megami-tensei-devil-survivor-overclocked-coming-to-uk-in-a/">recently used</a> for the 3DS release of <em>Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/16/devil-survivor-2-european-release-still-in-the-works/">Devil Survivor 2 European release still in the works</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 16 Mar 2013 20:30:00 EST. Last week it asked readers of its official blog if there was any interest in seeing Ghostlight bring some JRPGs from Japanese consoles to PC. The interest was apparently high, because this week's blog post says Ghostlight is <a href="http://blog.ghostlight.uk.com/post/jrpgs-on-pc">planning on doing exactly that</a>.<br /><br />There aren't a lot of details yet, but Ghostlight says talks are underway, and while the original plans were to just release these games digitally, fan response has got the company thinking about boxed copies of these translated games as well.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/07/20/ghostlight-looking-to-bring-jrpgs-from-console-to-pc/">Ghostlight looking to bring JRPGs from console to PC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 20 Jul 2012 10:30:00 EST. No pricing or release date information is available as of yet, nor is there any indication of a North American release, although Atlus has never historically been one to avoid releasing esoteric titles stateside. <br /><br /><em>Digital Devil Saga</em> and its sequel diverged from the typical Shin Megami Tensei formula by having the characters themselves transform into demons, rather than summon demons, as had previously been the case. <br />
Though <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-heroes-trails-in-the-sky"><em>Trails in the Sky</em></a> has already been out in North America for long enough to be the subject of an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/18/amazon-lightning-deals-on-trails-in-the-sky-marvel-vs-capcom/">Amazon Lightning Deal</a>, European PSP owners are still waiting for this branch of Falcom's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/15/xseed-explains-the-legend-of-heroes-trails-in-the-skys-family/">complicated family tree</a> (unless they imported it).<br />
<br />
The wait is almost over: Ghostlight announced today that it will release<em> Trails in the Sky</em> in collector's edition format on November 4. The CE will include a soundtrack disc, along with a lovely turn-based role-playing game.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/18/trails-in-the-sky-finally-flies-to-europe-on-nov-4/">Trails in the Sky finally flies to Europe on Nov. 4</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 18 Oct 2011 16:30:00 EST. First off, if you're planning to be the end-all to FPS titles, selecting World War I probably isn't the best choice to make. Can you say "yawn"? Sure, it's not WWII, but seriously, dig into a trench and sit there blindly firing for a few hours? We're not being facetious. Developers Kuju want to create the most accurate representation of the conflicts in Europe ever made.<br /><br />Publisher Ghostlight explains further: "<span class="text_article_body">Period locations will be recreated in lavish detail, only weaponry of the time will be available and character design will reflect the uniforms and style of the era ... </span><span class="text_article_body">we believe that <em>To End All Wars</em> will be an exceptional title that will form the basis of a new gaming franchise." Who knows, maybe it will. Perhaps a realistic recreation of a dirty, violent struggle is just what FPS titles need. We still think WWI isn't the best choice for recreation. Trenches are scary, but perhaps that's the draw. What do you guys think?<br /></span><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/04/to-end-all-wars-plans-to-end-all-fps-titles/">To End All Wars plans to end all FPS titles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 04 Jul 2007 21:00:00 EST.
