<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/diablo-3"><em>Diablo 3</em></a>'s Auction House is back online after Blizzard took it down earlier this week, following an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/08/diablo-3-patch-1-08-has-gold-duplication-bug-blizzard-working-o/">update bug</a> that allowed players to duplicate trillions in gold. Blizzard found the bug, exterminated it, and will now donate all proceeds generated from the exploit to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.<br />
<br />
Blizzard will not roll back the servers across the board, but will instead target specific accounts that used the exploit, banning or rolling back those users depending on their activity.<br />
<br />
"Only a relatively small number of players had the billions of gold necessary to exploit the bug, and only 415 of those players chose to use this exploit for personal gain," Blizzard Production Director John Hight <a href="http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/8796520380">writes</a> in the Battle.net forums.<br />
<br />
As of yesterday, Blizzard had recaptured 85 percent of the erroneous gold and was working to track down the remaining currency.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/12/diablo-3-auction-house-back-online-sans-bug-exploiters-punished/">Diablo 3 Auction House back online sans bug, exploiters punished</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 12 May 2013 18:00:00 EST. Just like the previous presidential and vice presidential debates, this one will be interactive, posing questions to viewers on policy and performance.<br /><br />This presidential debate is in a town hall format, meaning members of the audience will have the opportunity to ask President Barack Obama and republican Mitt Romney questions directly. It will (attempt to) focus on domestic and foreign policy.<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/14/the-vp-debate-on-xbox-live-who-won-the-battle-for-our-hearts/">vice presidential debate</a> saw more than 30,000 responses to each question, with more than 800,000 individual responses total. Tonight's debate is accessible through the Xbox Live dashboard.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/16/psa-watch-interact-with-tonights-presidential-debate-on-xbox/">PSA: Watch, interact with tonight's presidential debate on Xbox Live</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 16 Oct 2012 17:30:00 EST. More than 800,000 individuals answered the polling questions posed by the Xbox Live team, with more than 30,000 responses to each one. Questions considered subjects such as religion's role in government, who is better prepared to be vice president, how truthful Biden and Paul appeared, and of course, who won the debate.<br /><br />For religion, 70.1 percent of Xbox Live Gold respondents do not consider a candidate's religion when voting, <a href="http://majornelson.com/2012/10/11/xbox-live-community-flex-political-muscle-during-interactive-vice-presidential-debate/">Major Nelson</a> reports. Biden is viewed as better prepared to step in as VP, grabbing the nod from 53.7 percent of undecided voters, compared with Ryan's 21 percent. Swing voters also found Biden more truthful, with 72.2 percent of the vote. Biden "won" the debate, according to undecided Gold members, with 44.1 percent, compared with Ryan's 22.9 percent.<br /><br />Xbox Live has two new Election 2012 partnerships in the works, with BBC and Comedy Central, bringing clips from The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, because those comedy shows are where we all get our news from anyway. The next Xbox Live Election 2012 event is the presidential town hall debate on Tuesday, October 16.<br /><br />Now let's all cool off with a little <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksXRFRCUatc">songified VP debate</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/14/the-vp-debate-on-xbox-live-who-won-the-battle-for-our-hearts/">The VP debate on Xbox Live: Who won the battle for our hearts</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 14 Oct 2012 19:00:00 EST. Pacific Squadron WWII</em></a> (which used to be <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/03/mad-catz-war-wings-is-now-damage-inc-coming-this-summer/">the much more feasible <em>War Wings</em></a>) is like, you're in luck. The <a href="http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20120809006283/en/Mad-Catz%C2%AE-Announces-Damage-Pacific-Squadron-WWII%E2%84%A2">game now has a playable demo</a>, available on Xbox Live. The demo is exclusive to Gold members, rings in at just about 770 mb, and can be grabbed for free.<br /><br />Unfortunately, the demo doesn't come with <a href="http://damageincthegame.com/gear/flight-sticks">a free Pacific AV8R flightstick</a>, which Mad Catz <em>will</em> be including with <a href="http://damageincthegame.com/pix/dips_ce_ps3_LARGE.png">the Collector's Edition of the game</a>, and presumably will be the best way to experience flying around in the Pacific Theater. As Mad Catz says in the press release, this game is part of its goal of "pursuing targeted software opportunities that pose manageable downside risk by complementing our hardware initiatives." Which is corporate talk for: They're making the game to sell the stick.<br /><br />But if you have <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/01/mad-catz-courts-xbox-360-dogfighters-with-pricy-f-l-y-9-flights/">another Mad Catz flight stick</a>, it should work, or just a standard controller will probably do what you need as well. If the demo spins your propeller, the game will be out on August 28.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/10/psa-damage-inc-pacific-squadron-wwii-demo-out-now-on-xbox-live/">PSA: Damage Inc. We think that's a very reasonable price for a handful of pure, unfiltered gold with some wiring down the middle. Seriously, Nintendo has to be taking a hit for each one of these it sells, right? Oh - they're not solid gold? And Nintendo made sure to point that out in the description, reminding us once again that somewhere, someone might have actually thought a scenario like that was possible? The prizes are outlined on the <a href="http://thebehemoth.com/tournaments/">Behemoth blog</a>.<br /><br />To qualify, players must hit the top 100 on the XBLA Castle Crashers Weekly Ranked Arena Leaderboards by August 17 at noon PST. The Tournament is scheduled for August 25, starting at 8 a.m. PST and ending at 5:30 p.m. PST. The top 96 valid registrants will compete in one-on-one melee matches, hosted by a Tournament staff member, until just one player is left standing.<br /><br />Check out the full rules and schedule <a href="http://thebehemoth.com/tournaments/">right here</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/05/add-bling-to-your-xbox-in-the-castle-crashers-tournament-of-cham/">Add bling to your Xbox in the Castle Crashers Tournament of Champions</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 05 Aug 2012 14:00:00 EST. First, buy this <a href="http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/accessories/dualshock-3-wireless-controller-metallic-gold-gamestop-exculsive/102832#media">GameStop-exclusive</a> "metallic gold" PS3 controller when it comes out in October. Then, invite a friend over. When he or she is out of the room, swap the normal PS3 controller you were using for this new one, then start crying loudly.<br /><br />When your friend comes in to find out what's wrong, explain that you've been suddenly granted the Midas Touch and you're cursed with a life devoid of contact with anything but gold.<br /><br />Then - and this is crucial - yell "GOTCHA" before your unwitting target can ask what's wrong with you or note that the controller looks an awful lot like plastic, and that they can see the hastily hidden packaging anyway.<br /><br />Those of you in Europe can play along too: it's being released as a <a href="http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2012/06/05/on-your-marks-get-set-go/">"limited edition"</a> this month. We knew it was <a href="http://minecon.mojang.com/">coming</a>, but to finally hear that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/minecraft"><em>Minecraft</em></a> has completed its year-long beta-testing phase and successfully transformed itself into a retail product brings a tiny cubed tear to our square, pixelated eyes. If you're already a crafty crafter, <em>Minecraft</em> Version 1.0's release client can be obtained <a href="http://t.co/nyWkSGba">here</a> (warning: direct link).<br />

	The code is so complete that Notch told reviewers to <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/notch/status/135767177805574144">go ahead and treat it as review code</a>, claiming that any changes made before the title's official Friday launch would be minimal. Now, for a reading from the <em>Book of MS</em>, chapter eight, verse two:
<blockquote class="bq-standard">
	<em>And lo, Microsoft had decreed the identities of the people were in peril,<br />
	'Those who wish to be renamed shall have it so and I shall not want for much,'<br />
	And the people came, papers of identification in hand,<br />
	They bestowed upon Microsoft goods of reduced bulk<br />
	And the people rejoiced, with new monikers exclaiming their interests<br />

This week's Xbox Live deal is 30 percent off a Gamertag name change for all Gold subscribers, bringing the cost down to a total of 560 MS Points ($7).<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/psa-change-your-gamertag-on-the-cheap-in-this-weeks-deal/">PSA: Change your Gamertag on the cheap in this week's deal</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Aug 2011 17:10:00 EST. Happy Canada Day weekend! Xbox Live is celebrating the unification of North America's great upper frontier with a free Gold weekend for all Canadians, starting July 2 and ending July 4.<br />
<br />
All Gold features are unlocked for Canadian Live members this weekend (that means <em>right now</em>), so get down for your country's birthday with that one game featuring Canadian soldiers. You know that one with the people.... There has to be one, right?<br />
<br />
[Thanks to all the Twitter followers who confirmed this one, and to @Aveelo for the picture!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/02/happy-canada-day-from-xbox-live-here-have-some-gold/">Happy Canada Day from Xbox Live! Normally, we wouldn't consider it news when a game "goes gold" in time for its appointed release date. But when the game in question is <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/duke-nukem-forever"><em>Duke Nukem Forever</em></a>, we feel compelled to report all evidence of an actual game -- with a modicum of skepticism, of course -- until the vulgar little adventure is in our very own hands.<br />
<br />
<meta charset="utf-8" />
"Today marks an amazing day in the annals of gaming lore, the day where the legend of Duke Nukem Forever is finally complete and it takes that final step towards becoming a reality," 2K president Christoph Hartmann said in the announcement, which boldly reiterates the June 10 and June 14 release dates worldwide and for North America, respectively.<br />
<br />
"Slow down, guy, the game's not out yet," we said in this post just now.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/24/duke-nukem-forever-has-gone-gold/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Duke Nukem Forever has gone gold</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/24/duke-nukem-forever-has-gone-gold/">Duke Nukem Forever has gone gold</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 May 2011 09:40:00 EST. Take a good, hard look at your Xbox 360. Look at it, sitting in your entertainment center. It is plain. That, friend, is a pauper's gaming console. The Behemoth is offering you a chance to add some much-needed regality to your gaming experience: As part of its "<a href="http://devblog.thebehemoth.com/?p=3528">Tournament of Champions</a>" contest, the indie studio is giving away a 24 karat gold-plated 360 Elite to the top-ranked global <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/castle-crashers">Castle Crashers</a></em> Arena fighter on Xbox Live Arcade.<br />
<br />
There's plenty of other prizes to go around, including a <em>Castle Crashers</em>-themed 360 Elite, and ... um, 250 squishy chicken toys, all of which go to the third place winner, which is appropriately bizarre. Check out the rules and regulations for the contest over on <a href="http://devblog.thebehemoth.com/?p=3528">The Behemoth's official site</a>!<br type="_moz" /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/08/the-behemoths-tournament-of-champions-giving-away-a-gold-plat/">The Behemoth's 'Tournament of Champions' giving away a gold-plated Xbox 360</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 08 Jan 2011 19:30:00 EST. Are you late to the Xbox Live game? If you've been delaying the jump to Gold membership (which you can try for free <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/01/psa-xbox-live-gold-free-from-april-1-to-5/">right now</a></em>), this might be what you've been waiting for. The kit includes a 12-month Xbox Live gold subscription card (retails for $49.99), the Xbox Live Text Messaging Kit that includes the chatpad and a headset (normally $29.99), and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/PGR4">Project Gotham Racing 4</a></em> (retails for $19.99). Normally all of that would go for about a hundred bucks, but <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Live-Month-Messenger-Gold/dp/B001EKTF60/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;s=videogames&amp;qid=1270156830&amp;sr=1-2">Amazon has the pack for $52.54</a> with free shipping (it usually lists for $69.99).<br />
<br />
It's a great deal if you're needing to jump back in or renew, and you pick up a game and a chatpad in the process. We wish they'd included something sexier than <em>PGR4</em>, especially because you'd have to be nuts to pick that up for $19.99. But at this price, it's practically a freebie.<br type="_moz" /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/01/xbox-live-12-month-messenger-gold-pack-for-less-gold/">Xbox Live 12 Month Messenger Gold Pack for less gold</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Apr 2010 18:45:00 EST. Though <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-saboteur"><em>The Saboteur</em></a> developer Pandemic Studios is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/17/pandemic-closes-physical-doors-brand-lives-on/">losing its 200-person staff</a>, the company's final game has just "gone gold" across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In a post on the <a href="http://www.pandemicstudios.com/community/viewtopic.php?pid=726813">studio's forums</a>, Community Manager Mathew Everett noted that while "this has been a very difficult week for Pandemic Studios," <em>The Saboteur</em> will still be "available across Europe starting December 4 and throughout North America on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/21/the-saboteur-wreaking-havoc-on-december-8/">December 8</a>." <br />
<br />
Unfortunately, it would appear that EA (the game's publisher) has forgotten about said release dates, choosing to offer as little marketing push as possible. We wish the folks at Pandemic Studios the best and offer our condolences to those who recently lost their jobs.<br />

The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ps3-slim">PS3 Slim</a> may be $299, but that doesn't mean it can't <em>look</em> like the launch price of $599. <a href="http://www.chipchick.com/2009/11/exclusive-ps3-slim-24kt-gold.html">Colorware</a> is planning on making five limited edition PS3 systems that have been dipped in 24k gold. Expect this <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/01/fashion/01flav.html">Flava Flav</a>-approved hardware to cost a <em>tad</em> more than a <a href="http://www.colorwarepc.com/p-187-ps3-slim.aspx">regular paint job</a> from Colorware: $149.<br />
<br />
If you do end up deciding to get one of these Midas-touched PS3s, let us know. We totally need to be friends.<br />

Namco Bandai has announced that their upcoming PS3 exclusive <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/katamari-forever/"><em>Katamari Forever</em></a> has gone gold. That means it's done. Finished. Kaput.<br /><br />The upcoming Blu-ray release will retail for $49.99, which is about 17% cheaper than the average PS3 game, and about 250% more than what we wanted to pay for the game. While <em>Forever</em> promises a good deal of content and a variety of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/06/a-trio-of-katamari-forever-videos/">visual filters</a>, we're not entirely sure if PS3 owners are willing to pay such a high premium on what is, essentially, an HD remix of past <em>Katamari</em> games. The temptation of an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/28/trophies-katamari-forever/">easy Platinum</a> may attract Trophy hunters, but we have a feeling many of you will be skipping on this release until the (inevitable) price drop.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/katamari-forever/">Katamari Forever</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/katamari-forever/#2230292"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-24_15-27-54-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/katamari-forever/#2230291"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-24_15-27-54-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/katamari-forever/#2230290"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-24_15-27-54-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/katamari-forever/#2230289"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-24_15-27-54-4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/katamari-forever/#2230288"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-24_15-27-54-14_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/28/katamari-forever-goes-gold-rolls-into-stores-on-september-22/">Katamari Forever goes gold, rolls into stores on September 22</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 28 Aug 2009 14:15:00 EST. <em>Always</em> read the fine print. Part of a footnote from this morning's Xbox 360 <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/27/microsoft-confirms-xbox-360-price-cut-300-elite-on-friday-25/">price cut</a> <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2009/08/27/vcx456.aspx">press release</a> bore this little oh-by-the-way: "Xbox Live Gold Membership will be required for Twitter and Facebook when they are available." When <a href="http://www.mcvuk.com/news/35592/Xbox-360-Twitter-claims-incorrect">MCV</a> followed up on the tucked-away tidbit, a Microsoft spokesperson suggested that the press release's statement was "inaccurate" and that the company was "still formulating its plans" for integrating the social networking services into Xbox Live. A few short hours later, those plans appear to be formulated.<br /> <br />A Microsoft representative has clarified for Joystiq, "Facebook and Twitter on Xbox Live will be free to Gold members, with a free trial period also available for Silver members." Specific details on what's included in the trial are not currently available, but clearly Microsoft is continuing its policy to reward Gold subscribers for, well, <em>their subscriptions,</em> despite what must be a tempting motivation to make Twitter and Facebook free-for-all features. Social networking's <em>the</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/23/pachter-last-fm-twitter-the-most-important-features-of-e3/">killer app</a>, after all (right?) -- and Microsoft could use some new ammo in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ps3-slim">console war</a>.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/facebook-twitter-on-xbox-360/">Facebook / Twitter on Xbox 360</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/facebook-twitter-on-xbox-360/#2064830"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/twitter-xbox-3-1024_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/facebook-twitter-on-xbox-360/#2064829"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/twitter-xbox-2-1024_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/facebook-twitter-on-xbox-360/#2064828"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/twitter-xbox-1-1024_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/facebook-twitter-on-xbox-360/#2064824"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/newsfeedadd-1024_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/facebook-twitter-on-xbox-360/#2064823"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/inbox-1024_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/27/xbox-lives-twitter-and-facebook-free-for-gold-for-trial-by-sil/">Xbox Live's Twitter and Facebook free for Gold, for trial by Silver members</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 27 Aug 2009 18:10:00 EST. We don't dare hope for the kind of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/07/a-brief-history-of-club-nintendo-awesomeness/">awesomeness</a> seen in Japan's Platinum rewards, but we <em>want</em> free things.<br /><br />If you aren't yet at 300 coins (for Gold) or 600 coins (for Platinum), and you've got more games to register, get to it <em>right now!</em> If you've been thinking of picking up <em>Punch-Out!!</em> or something this week, you should probably do it <em>today!</em> Conversely, if you're at 600 now and you have more stuff to register, wait until tomorrow so it counts toward next year's total!<br /><br />If you're not sure about the eligibility of an older (pre-Club Nintendo) game and don't want to waste time registering it, consult the list of eligible games in the "Product Registration" area of the <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/club/en/faq.jsp#vers">Club Nintendo FAQ</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/30/psa-register-your-games-for-club-nintendo-elite-status-today/">PSA: Register your games for Club Nintendo elite status today</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 30 Jun 2009 16:15:00 EST. Buckingham Palace will be getting a special delivery today as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/thq">THQ</a> plans to deliver a golden Wii earmarked for the Queen.<br /><br />The pack will also include a copy of the newly released <em>BIG Family Games</em>, as Philip, Charles and the rest of the royal gang compete for the living room crown. The publisher hopes the PR stunt will amuse Queen Elizabeth, though we hope the 83-year old monarch doesn't throw her arm out swinging the console's presumably heavier gold-plated remote.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/21/thq-ships-gold-plated-wii-to-queen-of-england/">THQ ships gold-plated Wii to Queen of England</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 21 May 2009 08:30:00 EST. EA just showered us with new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/tiger-woods-10/"><em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10</em></a> assets, including a bunch of new videos showing: new golfers Anthony Kim and Rocco Mediate; some of the new courses; and the new "Live Tournament" mode works. Open a window and try to inhale some of those whiffs of someone mowing the grass on a fairway somewhere, kick back, and take a swing at the videos after the break.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-ps3-and-360/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (PS3 &amp; 360)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-ps3-and-360/#2003208"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealaps3360screens53_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-ps3-and-360/#2003207"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealaps3360screens50_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-ps3-and-360/#2003206"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealaps3360screens55_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-ps3-and-360/#2003205"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealaps3360screens34_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-ps3-and-360/#2003203"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/tigerwoods10ealaps3360screens14_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/11/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-the-video-tour-ps3-360-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10: The video tour, PS3/360 edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/11/tiger-woods-pga-tour-10-the-video-tour-ps3-360-edition/">Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10: The video tour, PS3/360 edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 11 May 2009 19:00:00 EST. We expect most membership tiers named after <em>Au</em>-some precious metals to include <em>special jackets</em>, or possibly unrestricted access to some sort of highly exclusive drinking establishment where people much cooler than us hang out. Instead, we get unrestricted access to bold new pejorative descriptors for a number of Earth's demographics.<br /><br />However, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be getting more bonuses than just hate speech when the service's first Primetime title launches this spring. Yes, according to the <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/1/1v100/default.htm">game's official page on Xbox.com</a>, <em>1 vs. 100</em> is going to be free for all Gold members. This is great news, as we probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/16/new-1-vs-100-primetime-trailer-emerges-sans-saget/"><em>No Saget</em>, <em>no sale</em></a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/27/1-vs-100-will-be-free-for-xbox-live-gold-subscribers/">1 vs. 100 will be free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 27 Apr 2009 13:00:00 EST. If you were worried that the recent announcement of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/inFamous/">inFamous</a></em>' unprecedented <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/13/infamous-gets-anti-delay-releasing-in-may/">anti-delay</a> was some sort of sick (and outrageously belated) April Fools' Day joke, you can cool your jets -- developer Sucker Punch announced today that the game <a href="http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=213165">has gone gold</a>. Yes, the PS3-exclusive, open-world action title is on its way to the printers -- even with that <em>glaringly obvious </em>grammatical error in the title. <em>inFamous</em>? Seriously? Who named this thing, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._E._Cummings">E.E. Cummings</a>? <br />
<br />
The <em>stupidly titled</em> game is scheduled to hit U.S. store shelves on May 26, but you can get your <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/26/gdc09-infamous-hands-on/">hands on</a> it a bit earlier when the demo drops on May 21.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/16/infamous-goes-gold-despite-ridiculous-grammatical-error/">inFamous goes gold despite ridiculous grammatical error</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 16 Apr 2009 15:00:00 EST. The new addition: a tiny gold crown icon (<img vspace="0" hspace="0" border="0" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/tibtga39.png" alt="" />), which is now located on Xbox.com's mini Gamercard.<br /><br />It may be small, it may be useless and it may have no application to the "real world," but we're still proud of our new crown. It'll probably be the only royal jewels we'll ever own and, for the yearly $50 subscription fee, we think it's the least Microsoft could offer us.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/03/xbox-live-gold-members-get-crowned-on-xbox-com/">Xbox Live gold members get crowned on Xbox.com</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 03 Mar 2009 19:00:00 EST. Despite being the most expensive item <em>ever</em> in the European <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/club-nintendo">Club Nintendo</a> shop (15,000 Star Points, thank you), it sold out in the blink of a Goron's eye.<br /><br />How rare is this, exactly? Our guess: pretty damn rare. We've <em>never</em> seen one on eBay. But now it's back in stock, chintzier than ever, and ready for some lucky collectors to swipe. It's still 15,000 Star Points, and we suspect this latest batch will go quickly, so long as somebody out there has resisted splurging their <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/club-nintendo-awesomeness/1075104/">Star Points on Wii Points</a>.<br /><br />How about you, North Americans? Would something like this catch your eye when Club Nintendo launches in your neck of the woods <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/15/first-club-nintendo-u-s-details-unexpectedly-awesome/">later this year</a>?<br /><br />

Another "gone gold" announcement today, this time for <em>Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode 2</em>. The second part of the <em>On The Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness</em> series is now in the can and ready to release onto the PSN store "this fall." Actually, the press release states that the PSN version will probably launch shortly after the Mac, Linux, Windows and 360 versions. Hopefully that's a matter of days later, not weeks (to coincide with the Thursday PSN releases, we suspect). The pricing for the game will be $14.95.<br /><br /><em>Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode 1</em> will no doubt release before then, too. If you've already played it on another system, it might be worth picking it up for the trophies, and for the ability to transfer your character data over between episodes. If you've not played the game yet, it's an 3D turn based RPG with a <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com">Penny Arcade</a> art and writing style. If that sounds good to you, rejoice in the fact that you have two episodes to look forward to this Autumn.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/01/penny-arcade-episode-2-has-gone-gold-available-on-psn-this-fall/">Penny Arcade episode 2 has gone gold, available on PSN this Fall</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 Oct 2008 19:30:00 EST. <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/dead-space">Dead Space</a> </em>has gone gold and should be hitting shelves on its scheduled release date. That is, October 14th in the US and October 24th in Europe. EA has also revealed some pre-order bonus DLC for the game for Europe, which will be made available from <a href="http://www.play.com">Play.com</a>. The Obsidion Suit is the PlayStation 3 exclusive suit based, we suspect, on the look of the console. It features extra toughness and additional inventory spaces. No doubt it will also be made available in the US. We'll keep you informed.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/01/dead-space-has-gone-gold-pre-order-bonus-at-play-com/">Dead Space has gone gold, pre-order bonus at Play.com</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 01 Oct 2008 12:30:00 EST. It's been a long time coming. After a year of jealously looking over the shoulder of our Xbox 360 owning pals, PS3 owners finally get their turn to visit Rapture. <em>BioShock </em>for the PS3 has now gone gold, which means that the code has been locked down and sent to be manufactured. Still not sure whether the game is worth your time, despite the critical acclaim? Check out the demo which will be going live this Thursday on the PSN Store.<br /><br />Don't forget, the game will be launching with trophies (check out the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/18/trophies-bioshock/">full list</a>, <strong>unless you're spoilerphobic</strong>) and will feature post-launch DLC. This will take the form of various challenge rooms, where you will need to solve various puzzles in order to protect precariously placed Little Sisters. Now that the game has gone gold, we'd be surprised if it misses its October 21st (US) and 17th (internationally) release date. Will you be picking up a copy?<br /><br /><br /><em></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/30/bioshock-goes-gold-cue-rapture-ous-applause/">BioShock goes gold, cue Rapture-ous applause</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 30 Sep 2008 09:00:00 EST. Fans of cyber-Norse mythology rejoice! Microsoft has <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2008/07/31/tohmngld.aspx">announced</a> that Silicon Knights' <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/too-human"><em>Too Human</em></a> has officially gone gold. That means that after ten long years, <em>it's done</em>. The press release also notes that the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/29/too-human-demo-play-as-all-classes/"><em>Too Human</em> demo</a> -- currently available on Xbox Live Marketplace -- "has already been downloaded more than any other action demo on Xbox LIVE Marketplace in its first week of availability and has been one of the top played titles on Xbox LIVE overall." Keen observers will note that the <em>Too Human</em> demo landed at number 8 on the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/30/halo-3-holds-onto-its-newly-found-xbox-live-crown/">most recent list</a> of top Live games played. The game is scheduled to hit retail shelves on August 19.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/31/too-human-is-too-gold/">Too Human is too gold</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 31 Jul 2008 15:45:00 EST. Developer Hothead Game just announced that <em>Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One</em> has gone gold for Windows, Mac and Linux. The <a href="http://www.hotheadgames.com/blog/?p=47">press release</a> is a good reminder that right now, somewhere in the world, someone is playing the full version of the game and you're not. <br /><br />There, there, we know, it'll get better over time, promise ... okay, you're gonna need to stop making that whimpering noise, it's starting to get people's attention and it's embarrassing to both yourself and to us. <em>PAA:OtRSPoD:E1</em> is due out "later this quarter" via their new <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/02/penny-arcade-announces-greenhouse-online-game-store/">Greenhouse</a> download service for $20. The game is also coming to Xbox Live, potentially in another quarter, for 1600 MS points (US $20). In the meantime, enjoy some <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/penny-arcade-adventures/783440/">new wallpapers</a>.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/penny-arcade-adventures/">Penny Arcade Adventures</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/penny-arcade-adventures/#661913"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/02/1-173-env-orange_tree_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/penny-arcade-adventures/#661914"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/02/1-203-combat-ff_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/penny-arcade-adventures/#661915"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/02/2-16-dialogue_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/penny-arcade-adventures/#661916"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/02/2-20-dialogue_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/penny-arcade-adventures/#661917"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/02/2-120-adv-hobo_alley_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/01/penny-arcade-adventures-is-gold-due-out-later-this-quarter-fo/">Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode One is gold, due out 'later this quarter' for $20</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 May 2008 15:00:00 EST. A fairly dreary, rubbish "rainbow," admittedly, but a rainbow of <em>sorts</em>. These 'chuks are all part of Nyko's new Kama range of wireless <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/nunchuk">nunchuks</a>, and are classified as gray, black, pink, and gold (the one on the right, apparently). They also happen to be <em>limited edition</em>, and that's probably why Nyko is happy to charge us $35 per nunchuk, a considerable mark-up on the $20 you'd pay for a standard <em>wired</em> Nunchuck (how pass&eacute;!). The gray ones are <a href="http://www.nyko.com//store/ProductDetail.aspx?i=133">up for sale now</a> (there's 300 of them to go round), and the other colors will follow in the coming days (the black and gold are the rarest, numbering only 150). <br /><br />Nyko <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">already has a wireless nunchuck out on the market</span> previously released a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/12/wii-fanboy-review-nykos-wireless-nunchuk-adapter/">wireless Nunchuck adapter</a>, so we don't doubt that these would also do the job nicely. However, unlike the adapter, this is a standalone wireless Nunchuck. No messy cords to bundle up. But $35 for a peripheral that will clash with our lovely white Wiimotes? We'll pass on this one.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nykos-kama-wireless-nunchuks/">Nyko's Kama wireless nunchuks</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nykos-kama-wireless-nunchuks/#768266"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/nunchuk_001_gjfd_nyko_kamo_cg_hkdsd_004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nykos-kama-wireless-nunchuks/#768265"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/nunchuk_001_gjfd_nyko_kamo_cg_hkdsd_003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nykos-kama-wireless-nunchuks/#768264"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/nunchuk_001_gjfd_nyko_kamo_cg_hkdsd_002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nykos-kama-wireless-nunchuks/#768263"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/nunchuk_001_gjfd_nyko_kamo_cg_hkdsd_001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/nykos-kama-wireless-nunchuks/#768262"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/nintendo.joystiq.com/media/2008/04/nunchuk_001_gjfd_nyko_kamo_cg_hkdsd_005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.siliconera.com/2008/04/22/come-and-get-limited-edition-colored-kama-wireless-nunchucks/">Siliconera</a>]<br /><br />[<span style="font-weight: bold;">Update:</span> Update: Corrected a few errors in the article. $35 is the standard price for all of Nyko's Kama wireless nunchucks: the limited edition Kama line of nunchucks cost the same as Nyko's standard Kama Wireless Nunchucks soon to be released.]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/23/a-rainbow-of-nunchuks/">A rainbow of Nunchuks [Update]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 23 Apr 2008 13:30:00 EST. Whether it's brand new info on the upcoming <a href="http://wowinsider.com/tag/patch-2.4">patch 2.4</a>, what <em>WoW</em>'s community managers have delivered in <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/2007/08/23/how-to-get-the-attention-of-a-blue/">their precious blue words</a> on the forums recently, or just the latest insider news from around the community itself, WoW Insider's got you covered. Here's our most popular stories of the past week, right here on Joystiq (sure, you could type "<a href="http://wowinsider.com">wowinsider.com</a>" into your address bar and see what all the fuss is about, but why bother when we package this stuff so conveniently for you?). It's simply un-American! The commie sympathizers at Blizzard have apparently placed financial restrictions on the amount of gold players can have in <em>World of Warcraft</em>. <a href="http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/01/16/apparently-you-can-have-too-much-gold/#comments">WoW Insider</a> reports two players have reached the anti-capitalist limit of 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper and that's the end of the road for them. After that they are not entitled to the cash they have earned by the sweat of their own fingertips.<br /><br />Without getting into an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/bioshock">Andrew Ryan</a> diatribe, the limit is apparently just some arbitrary number ... actually, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/bloggers/ross-miller/">Ross "&uuml;ber math nerd" Miller</a> says, "It's not arbitrary, it's 2 to the power of 31, which is a 32-bit integer." We're not sure how Blizzard feels about the cap, but we're certain the citizens of Azeroth can't be too happy about "the man" keeping them from living out their financial fantasies.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/18/world-of-warcraft-players-reach-gold-limit-cap/">World of Warcraft players reach gold limit cap</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 18 Jan 2008 17:00:00 EST. If gold is your <em>thing</em> -- your <em>luster of choice</em>, you might say -- then NDS Central's latest addition to its <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/SHOCK/">SHOCK!</a> series of replacement DS Lite cases is <em>just</em> what you need. Unlike the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/12/ds-fanswag-end-of-the-year-blowout/">Phantom Hourglass edition DSes</a>, these Magnum Gold shells reportedly contain <em>real</em> gold, having actually gone through the gold-plating process. The online shop plans to release its Magnum Golds early next year and is already accepting preorders for the cases for $59.90.<br /><br />If you're going to spend that much cash modifying your DS to show off your <em>rapper status</em>, why not go all out and glue on some gaudy rhinestones? While you're at it, you should have the system <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/26/someone-put-a-damn-unicycling-llama-on-their-ds/">engraved</a> with big script letters: "Doing It Big." When people ask what exactly it is that you're "doing big," you can tell them that it's your bad taste.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/18/strike-gold-with-this-new-shock-shell/">Strike gold with this new SHOCK! shell</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 18 Dec 2007 19:00:00 EST. This week long delay in getting free content is justified by Gold members paying for their subscription. And maybe that's how it should be. Gold members actually being treated as if they're getting perks for paying for Xbox Live. Here at X3F, we are Gold subscribers so we guess we're a bit biased and unsympathetic to our Silver brethren. But now that we think about it, it's kind of sad to know that Silver members can't get in on the hot <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/12/04/free-xbox-originals-themes-and-gamer-pictures/">Grunt gamer pic</a> love until next week. So<em> Guitar Hero III</em> has been out for about a week and you've played it from start to finish numerous times. With no signs of any downloadable content in the near future (what's up with that?) where can you turn for more rhythm based rock gameplay? Well, fear not for the holy grail of rhythm games, <em>Rock Band</em>, finally went gold today. <br /><br />The game has been shipped off to manufacturers ready for the November 20th release date (December 18th for the PS2 version with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/05/wireless-guitar-works-with-ps2-and-ps3-versions-of-rock-band/">PS3 compatible</a> guitars). That's fifteen days to go - we're counting the hours, are you?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/05/rock-band-gold/">Rock Band finally gone gold</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 05 Nov 2007 21:15:00 EST.
