Sony has a new $300 PS3 bundle for sale, this time for fans of ultra-realistic motorsport and rather less realistic electromagnetics. The new 'Legacy' bundle, available now, includes the 500GB black PS3, <em>Gran Turismo 5 XL</em>, <em>Infamous 2</em>, and a 30-day voucher for PS Plus.<br />
<br />
 <em>Gran Turismo 5 XL</em>, first released in January 2012, includes all of the racer's updates through to Spec 2.0, and a voucher for five bits of DLC. There are no fancy pants extras in the <em>Infamous 2</em> disc, but it is the last chance to enjoy Cole's electric persona; <em>Infamous: Second Son</em> introduces a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/22/infamous-second-son-coughs-up-details-on-smoky-hero-seattle-se/">smoky new protagonist</a> to the PS4.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/07/ps3-500gb-legacy-bundle-unveiled-includes-gt5-xl-infamous-2/">PS3 500GB 'Legacy' bundle unveiled, includes GT5 XL, Infamous 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 May 2013 13:30:00 EST. Titles rumored to be on the cheap include <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/ico-and-shadow-of-the-colossus-collection"><em>Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection</em></a> ($10), <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/jak-and-daxter-collection"><em>Jak and Daxter Collection</em></a> ($10), <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/31/uncharted-1-and-2-bundle-available-september-6/"><em>Uncharted 1 and 2</em></a> ($15), <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/06/sony-introduces-playstation-collections-kicks-off-program-wit/"><em>God of War Saga</em></a> ($20), <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/06/sony-introduces-playstation-collections-kicks-off-program-wit/"><em>Infamous 1 and 2</em></a> ($15), <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/06/killzone-1-goes-hd-in-ps3-killzone-trilogy-packing-all-three/"><em>Killzone Trilogy</em></a> ($20), the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/journey-collectors-edition/">collector's edition of <em>Journey</em></a> ($15) and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/23/a-taste-of-ratchet-and-clank-collection/"><em>Ratchet &amp; Clank Collection</em></a> ($15). The rumored prices come courtesy of a NeoGAF thread featuring deal-seeking gamers.<br /><br />We called a few local GameStop stores and the employees we talked to said there's no indication on their end a sale is incoming. A few employees mentioned seeing the GAF thread, but had no email correspondence or indication in their system of the promotion. We've followed up with GameStop corporate as well because we <em>totally</em> want this to be a thing. <em>Ico</em> and <em>Shadow of the Colossus</em> for $10? Yeah, we totally back that idea.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/01/rumor-power-up-rewards-deals-on-sony-ps3-collections-nov-1-14/">Rumor: PowerUp Rewards offers big discounts on Sony PS3 collections</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Nov 2012 02:00:00 EST. In layman's terms that means more people purchased content directly through PSN from April through June of this year than ever before in the service's history.<br /><br />Jack Buser, Senior Director of PlayStation digital platforms at SCEA, told Joystiq this all started back at E3 with the announcement of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/10/playstation-plus-amplified-with-more-games-all-other-offers-r/">the Instant Game Collection</a>, and that "membership sales in PS Plus almost doubled" during the week of E3. Since the launch of the Instant Game Collection, five games have managed to dominate in total downloads: <em>inFamous 2</em>, <em>LittleBigPlanet 2</em>, <em>Just Cause 2</em>, <em>Ratchet &amp; Clank All 4 One</em> and <em>Gotham City Imposters</em>. <br /><br />Buser couldn't dive into what he called "the nuts and bolts" of PSN's performance (see: specific numbers) but did assure me the service is growing and becoming a more integral facet of Sony's approach. He also talked at length about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/25/psn-day-1-digital/">PSN Day 1 Digital</a>, which we'll have for you in a separate piece available later.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/28/psn-sales-up-last-quarter-ps-plus-membership-nearly-doubled-dur/">PSN sales up last quarter, PS Plus membership nearly doubled during E3 week</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 28 Sep 2012 13:30:00 EST. The world of <em>Infamous</em> is all about character. The settings, from urban-gothic Empire City to moss-drenched, sweltering New Marais, <em>ooze</em> character. The protagonists, particularly Nascar-ready Cole McGrath and his bro-friend Zeke, are studies in character, seemingly ripped from a television show you've known and loved for years. And then there's you, the player. Do you have character? What sort? Will you be a good witch or a bad witch? Your character will determine how the games play out, and how the game world responds to you.<br />
<br />
For the standalone PSN downloadable <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2-festival-of-blood"><i>Festival of Blood</i></a>, Sucker Punch has turned a hat trick whipping up a tasty little Halloween treat that, in spite of its brevity, follows in the tradition of its larger franchise and provides some of the most intriguing game experiences of any game available now, downloadable or not. Without a doubt, it has the most character of any three-hour game I have ever played.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/28/infamous-2-festival-of-blood-review-vamps-and-amps/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Infamous 2: Festival of Blood review: Vamps and amps</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/28/infamous-2-festival-of-blood-review-vamps-and-amps/">Infamous 2: Festival of Blood review: Vamps and amps</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 28 Oct 2011 15:25:00 EST. Sony announced its holiday lineup of PlayStation Move games, anchored by ... two games that are already out! In addition to the Move Pack add-on for <em>LittleBigPlanet 2</em>, Sony revealed that Move support will be added to both <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2 </em></a>and<em> <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/infamous-2-festival-of-blood">Infamous 2: Festival of Blood</a></em>. The $14.99 Festival of Blood will include built-in support for the glowy controller, and will also include the update for <em>Infamous 2</em> when it launches on October 25.<br />
<br />
After the break, find release dates for other Move titles coming this quarter, including <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/medieval-moves-deadmunds-quest"><em>Medieval Moves</em></a>, <em>Carnival Island</em>, and <em>EyePet and Friends</em>. Actually, make that "release date," singular -- Sony's putting them all out on November 15.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/infamous-2-and-festival-of-blood-getting-move-support/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Infamous 2 and Festival of Blood getting Move support</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/infamous-2-and-festival-of-blood-getting-move-support/">Infamous 2 and Festival of Blood getting Move support</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 Sep 2011 23:08:00 EST. If you're still getting your hands dirty in the extensive suite of user-generated content tools which Sucker Punch afforded to purchasers of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2</em></a>, you've got another thing coming, buster. Well, a bunch of other things -- an update launched today unlocks the Titan and the Devourer (the two big minibosses from the game's campaign) for use in the mission creator. Why not tweak their settings to make them best friends? That's a thing you can probably do.<br />
<br />
Other additions in the update include an option to link your homemade levels together, and a peer review system for UGC missions -- which should help separate some of the wheat from the chaff while you're electrically sailing through New Marais. <br />
Sucker Punch and Sony are teasing <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/infamous-2-festival-of-blood"><em>Infamous 2: Festival of Blood</em></a> with a brief cutscene. It shows a shriveled corpse drinking superhero Cole McGrath's blood, in order to resurrect as some kind of super-vampire. If that's the kind of imagery that interests you, we <em>suspect</em> you'll find a lot more of it in the PSN game.<br />
<br />
After all, it's not only about fighting vampires -- your character becomes a vampire himself. This will be <em>the</em> go-to game for scenes of blood drinking, electrocution, and, we're guessing, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UosmKd1krWU"><em>bloodtrocution</em></a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/01/see-infamous-2-festival-of-bloods-resurrection/">See Infamous 2: Festival of Blood's resurrection</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Sep 2011 12:15:00 EST. Electro-monster Cole from <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2</em></a> is now an electro-vampire in <em>Infamous 2: Festival of Blood</em>, available on PSN this October. In this downloadable game, New Marais is infested by vampires. Cole is bitten, and must find the head vampire before the night ends, to reverse his condition. Does electricity hurt vampires? We'll find out, we suppose. Also, can you make a vampire game set in Louisiana and avoid comparisons to both <em>Interview with the Vampire</em> and <em>True Blood</em>? This post has already proven that you cannot.<br />
<br />
This was called a "brand new game available for download," which sounds more like a standalone PSN game than DLC.<br />
<br />
<strong>Update:</strong> The <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/08/16/infamous-2-dlc-festival-of-blood-drowns-psn-in-october/">PlayStation Blog</a> confirms that you don't need any other <em>Infamous</em> games to play this. It also posted the above trailer.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/16/infamous-2-festival-of-blood-gets-truly-bloody-this-october/">Infamous 2: Festival of Blood gets Truly Bloody this October [update: trailer!]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 16 Aug 2011 14:24:00 EST. Having spent over ten years working on PlayStation-exclusive franchises like <em>Sly Cooper</em> and <em>inFamous</em>, Sucker Punch Productions is now becoming a Sony-owned developer. Sony announced the acquisition of the Bellevue, Washington-based studio this morning, formally adding it to the ranks of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios.<br />
<br />
According to Sucker Punch Managing Partner Brian Fleming, "the relationship with SCE has provided us the flexibility and trust to take creative risks and invent new properties."<br />
<br />
Among the studio's known properties, <em>inFamous 2</em> is notable for having been one of the top selling games in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/14/june-npd-duke-nukem-forever-is-2/">June</a>. The next Sucker Punch project has not been announced, but we do know of another "acquisition" that may play a role in it: the studio was recently joined by former <em>Halo</em> designer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/14/half-minute-halo-an-interview-with-jaime-griesemer/">Jaime Griesemer</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/sony-acquires-infamous-dev-sucker-punch-productions/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Sony acquires inFamous dev Sucker Punch Productions</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/02/sony-acquires-infamous-dev-sucker-punch-productions/">Sony acquires inFamous dev Sucker Punch Productions</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Aug 2011 04:58:00 EST. You've designed the perfect <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2</em></a> mission, but it's lacking one small detail: a truck. Good news -- you can totally download a truck now, along with an assortment of other vehicles, as the game's first user-generated content DLC pack. The free DLC includes five vehicles from the single-player game for use in the creation of UGC.<br />
<br />
And for those of you who prefer to consume user-generated content, Sony also announced a new search feature, accessible by pausing the game. You can find content by multiple search vectors, including PSN usernames. As of now, it's unclear whether you can sort by presence or absence of trucks.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/26/infamous-2-gets-vehicular-dlc-for-user-generated-content/">Infamous 2 gets vehicular DLC for user-generated content</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 26 Jul 2011 11:30:00 EST. You already read a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/30/heres-what-youll-be-doing-in-the-uncharted-3-beta/">mess of information</a> about <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/uncharted-3-drakes-deception"><em>Uncharted 3</em></a>'s upcoming multiplayer beta back before E3, but now developer Naughty Dog wants to show it off in a slurry of walkthrough videos (which we've dropped after the break). The studio also revealed a variety of details about the beta, breaking down which gametypes and maps will be paired across the beta's three weeks -- it'll take up approximately 1.7GB of your precious HDD space.<br />
<br />
Additionally, ND says that the beta will allow for stereoscopic 3D, as well as split-screen co-op (though not both simultaneously, of course). As the beta goes live tomorrow for PlayStation Plus subscribers (that's still <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/01/psn-outage-plus-qriocity-free/">most of us</a>!) and <em>inFamous 2</em> owners, you may be wondering when you'll be murdering Drake with ... uh ... other Drakes -- unfortunately, the studio isn't sure just yet, but suggests keeping an eye on the <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/naughty_dog">official Naughty Dog Twitter account</a> for up-to-the-minute info. Studio head Evan Wells also notes on <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/evan_wells/status/85377819537981440">his Twitter feed</a> that the beta "should be on PSN around 2PM PDT tomorrow." He additionally points out that "Naughty Dog doesn't control this," making 2PM PDT somewhat <em>tentative</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/27/uncharted-3-multiplayer-beta-details-leap-from-naughty-dog-hq-to/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta details leap from Naughty Dog HQ to your eye sockets</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/27/uncharted-3-multiplayer-beta-details-leap-from-naughty-dog-hq-to/">Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta details leap from Naughty Dog HQ to your eye sockets</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 27 Jun 2011 15:45:00 EST. After 14 years, it'd be sad if <em>Duke Nukem Forever</em> didn't enter Chart-Track's UK <a href="http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&amp;ct=110015">All Formats chart</a> in the top spot. So, hail to the king, baby.<em> L.A. Noire</em> graciously slipped only one spot into second, despite a 54 percent drop in sales. We knew Rockstar's crime drama had a massive premiere, becoming the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/23/la-noire-becomes-uks-fastest-selling-new-ip/">UK's fastest-selling new IP</a>, but those debut numbers must have been massive to survive several large double-digit percentage sales declines the past few weeks and yet maintain such a high ranking. Rounding out the top three: <em>Zumba Fitness</em>, which only saw a 2 percent decline.<br />
<br />
Two other premieres made it into the top ten last week, with <em>inFamous 2</em> and <em>Red Faction: Armageddon</em> heroically taking spots four and eight, respectively. Check out the full UK top ten after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/13/duke-nukem-forever-is-all-outta-bubblegum-for-uk-charts/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Duke Nukem Forever is all outta bubblegum for UK charts</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/13/duke-nukem-forever-is-all-outta-bubblegum-for-uk-charts/">Duke Nukem Forever is all outta bubblegum for UK charts</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 13 Jun 2011 08:00:00 EST. Video games with super-powered protagonists must be a pretty sticky wicket for developers. Make your hero -- or totally rotten villain -- too weak, and they won't tear through crowds of the un-powered with satisfying gusto. Make them too strong, however, and they'll tear through them with unsatisfying ease. If the many, many superhero titles that accidentally tumble into these two unfortunate paradigms are any indication, the sweet spot between these two boundaries is extraordinarily thin.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2</em></a> integrates a number of minor improvements to its already polished predecessor, but it's biggest change might also be its most imperceptible. Moreso than in <em>Infamous the First</em>, Cole MacGrath has found the happy medium between strength and vulnerability. He finds his electrical equilibrium from his very first step into the lively playground of New Marais -- and, perhaps more impressively -- maintains that balance for the millions of steps that follow.<br />

Sucker Punch wants to reward its fans for being especially good ... or especially bad. <a href="http://ps3.ign.com/articles/117/1170993p1.html">IGN reports</a> that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>InFamous 2</em></a> offers an option to import Trophy data from the original <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous"><em>InFamous</em></a>, which is then turned into starting bonuses in Cole McGrath's new adventure.<br />
<br />
We've got a rundown of what your Trophies are worth in the sequel after the break -- starting XP bumps and the like -- but the most interesting bit of info is that having unlocked specific story-related Trophies will actually alter the dialog and side missions in <em>InFamous 2</em>. We'd tell you what they are, but then <em>you'd</em> have to kill <em>us</em>. And also, we <em>don't know</em>, because IGN didn't say.<br />
<br />
Of course, you could also look at this feature as one big morality test: Will you be a goodie two shoes and choose not to import your data, or do it and effectively use a "cheat" right at the start of the game?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/27/infamous-2-imports-your-infamous-trophy-data-to-grant-rewards-a/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>InFamous 2 imPorts your inFamous Trophy data to grant rewards, alter story</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/27/infamous-2-imports-your-infamous-trophy-data-to-grant-rewards-a/">InFamous 2 imPorts your inFamous Trophy data to grant rewards, alter story</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 27 May 2011 15:00:00 EST. If you have a penchant for messenger bags, world-ending beasts and "it's totally not a toy" figurines, today's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>inFamous 2</em></a> news is <em>just right</em> for you. Beyond a thoroughly <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/05/24/infamous-2-hero-edition-the-unboxing/">detailed photo tour</a> of the game's "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/18/infamous-2-release-date/">Hero Edition</a>" (an "unboxing," if you will), Sony today released a brand new trailer for this June's third-person superhero-er.<br />
<br />
Rather than show off the game's New Orleans-inspired location as so many <em>inFamous 2</em> trailers have before it, this one's all about the destruction of Cole's hometown: Empire City. Turns out that the enormous beast he was worried about in the last game is <em>kind of a dominant force</em> in his second adventure. Head past the break for some minor story spoilers from <em>inFamous 1</em> and a whole mess of destruction in <em>inFamous 2</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/24/infamous-2-hero-edition-unboxed-new-trailer-unleashed/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>inFamous 2 Hero Edition unboxed, new trailer unleashed</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/24/infamous-2-hero-edition-unboxed-new-trailer-unleashed/">inFamous 2 Hero Edition unboxed, new trailer unleashed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 May 2011 19:00:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2</em></a> is coming out in the UK, Germany and Ireland on June 10, and the rest of Europe on June 8. Yes, we usually make a bigger deal out of release dates than just dropping them all plain-like in the first sentence like that, but we need as much space as we can get to explain the different bundles available to European shoppers. No joke, you guys: There are <a href="http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/05/17/infamous-2-pal-release-date-confirmed-8th-10th-june/">five different versions</a> of Sucker Punch's dichotomous action title available in Europe's shops.<br />
<br />
So, there's the basic, vanilla flavored standard edition, the Special Edition (which includes extra powers and an "Original Cole" character skin) and the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/18/infamous-2-release-date/">Hero Edition</a> (which includes a lot of things, including a replica messenger bag). However, Europe also gets a bundle that includes the game and a "good" blue or "evil" red DualShock 3 controller, as well as a 320GB PS3 bundle. No prices have been announced for the bundles, but really, what price is too high for premium crimefighting? Or ... um, <em>crimemaking</em>?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/17/infamous-2-hits-europe-june-8-coming-in-so-so-many-bundles/">Infamous 2 hits Europe June 8, coming in so, so many bundles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 May 2011 10:00:00 EST. We were pretty sore about the splitting-up of <em>Infamous 2's</em> pre-order <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/18/infamous-2-release-date/">bonus abilities</a> across different retailers -- now that we've seen them in action, we're <em>double-sore</em>. You won't have to wait until November 1 to try out <em>Uncharted 3's</em> impressive multiplayer experience. Naughty Dog is putting the mode through an open beta test that director Justin Richmond says should "teach us a lot." Early access to the multiplayer beta will be granted on June 28 for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/playstation-plus">PlayStation Plus</a> subscribers and for those who have purchased <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>inFamous 2</em></a> (recalling a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/24/infamous-pre-order-box-reveals-uncharted-2-multiplayer-beta/">similar promotion</a> tied to the first <em>inFamous</em>). The beta will launch for all PSN members on July 5.<br />
<br />
<em>Uncharted 2's</em> multiplayer beta <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/11/130-000-people-played-uncharted-2-beta-and-other-naughty-dog-s/">attracted</a> more than 130,000 participants and saw <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/10/play-uncharted-2-beta-win-uncharted-2-fortune-hunter-edition/">an awesome prize</a> gifted to a few lucky players, so expectations are high for the new beta. After the break, check out a <em>thumping</em> trailer for the new multiplayer features, including the deeper character customization -- and get a look at that spectacular Airstrip map! Mark your calendars: The real fireworks begin on July 5.<br />

Sucker Punch isn't interested in subtlety when it comes to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>inFamous 2</em></a>, and you needn't look further than the game's two companion conduits, Kuo and Nix, for that to be apparent. In a preview session earlier today, reps from SP walked me through a mission midway through the game wherein Cole fought alongside both characters during separate points -- and like in the first <em>inFamous</em>, he was eventually faced with choosing one side or the other. Only rather than choosing "good" or "bad," Cole had to choose his favorite lady of the two.<br />
<br />
When the rep picked Kuo (the "good" side), Nix's reaction was ... <em>less than savory</em>. She seemingly channeled <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/27/mass-effect-2s-subject-zero-looks-awfully-unfriendly/"><em>Mass Effect 2's</em> Jack</a>, going from Cole's partner in crime, to a sniveling, vengeance-filled brat in under 30 seconds. After her tantrum subsided, Cole was blessed with the power of ice, borrowed from Kuo. And that's where the demo ended, unfortunately.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-3-29-11/">inFamous 2 (3/29/11)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-3-29-11/#4010902"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/evilvortex_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-3-29-11/#4010903"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/md1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-3-29-11/#4010904"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/td-final_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/infamous-2-preview/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>inFamous 2 preview: A tale of two side characters</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/29/infamous-2-preview/">inFamous 2 preview: A tale of two side characters</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 29 Mar 2011 17:00:00 EST. As promised <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/01/infamous-2-lets-you-play-create-share-your-own-missions-publi/">during GDC 2011</a>, Sucker Punch has delivered the specifics on its beta test of user-generated content creation for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>InFamous 2</em></a>. Beginning now and running through March 21, those interested in taking part can sign up at <a href="http://www.infamousthegame.com">infamousthegame.com</a> to get the chance -- the developer will choose an unspecified number of applicants at random, who will begin receiving beta vouchers in "early April."<br />
<br />
Since this is technically a sweepstakes, there are a couple of hoops to jump through at the site -- such as re-registering if you're already signed up there and, er, <em>opting into the contest</em> -- but once that's handled you need only sit back and hope that the Sucker Punchers smile upon you.<br />

Before presenting the latest milestone in the development of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>InFamous 2</em></a> at GDC today, Sucker Punch Productions development director Chris Zimmerman told his captive audience, "What we saw as the biggest problem with <em>InFamous </em>was that, at some point, it ended." That won't be an issue in this sequel, thanks to user-generated content.<br />
<br />
Zimmerman says that the developer has planned to integrate user-created missions from the outset, keeping the feature secret for two years. "That's hard to do," he said with laugh.<br />
<br />
Players will have access to "All of the good guys, all of the bad guys, all of the props that we built for the game -- vehicles, weapons and other stuff -- and then a whole bunch of special stuff we built just for making user-generated content," he confirmed. "
<meta charset="utf-8" />
We figured we'd throw that all out there and let people create, because we think there are lots of people out there that dream of being a game designer, and this is our opportunity to give them the opportunity to share what they can do. To take all of this content we've built over the past two years and putting it together to make something we never thought possible."<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-gdc-2011/">Infamous 2 (GDC 2011)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-gdc-2011/#3933850"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/jshomesecuremediagdcbloggercolecarnival_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-gdc-2011/#3933851"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/jshomesecuremediagdcbloggercoleheavy1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-gdc-2011/#3933852"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/jshomesecuremediagdcbloggercoleheavy2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-gdc-2011/#3933853"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/jshomesecuremediagdcbloggercoleheavy3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/infamous-2-gdc-2011/#3933854"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/03/jshomesecuremediagdcbloggerdefend_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/01/infamous-2-preview/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>InFamous 2 preview: User-generated chaos</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/03/01/infamous-2-preview/">InFamous 2 preview: User-generated chaos</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 Mar 2011 23:30:00 EST. And just like that, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>inFamous 2</em></a> joins Sony's "Play, Create, Share" suite of games by allowing players to make their own missions. Developer Sucker Punch unveiled the surprising new feature at GDC. Using the new creation tool, you'll be able to create "any" kind of mission. Creators have "access to the same set of characters, creatures and props" that the designers have.<br />
<br />
A "limited" public beta will be available in April. Details on how to get in will be announced on the game's <a href="http://www.infamousthegame.com">official website</a> in two weeks, on March 14th.<br />
<br />

The identity of the gaming industry's first big 2011 summer blockbuster has been revealed: Sony Computer Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions have announced that the follow-up to 2009's ionically-charged sandbox title, <em>inFamous</em>, will hit U.S. store shelves on June 7. The publisher also confirmed that the <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2">inFamous 2</a></em> Hero Edition is a real thing you'll be able to buy for $99.99, which nets you the game, an 8.5-inch statue of Cole, a replica messenger bag, a mini-comic, the game's soundtrack and a bevy of vouchers for downloadable content.<br />
<br />
If you want to snag said content without springing for the deluxe edition, it's been broken down piecemeal as pre-order bonuses from various retailers:<br />
<ul>
	<li>
		Folks who reserve the game on Amazon will get the 24K Gold version of Cole's "Amp" weapon.</li>
	<li>
		Shoppers at Best Buy can grab a character skin modeled after inFamous' antagonist, Kessler.</li>
	<li>
		Pre-orders at GameStop net you the telekinetic "Lightning Hook" power.</li>
	<li>
		Walmart is offering pre-orderers the radical-sounding "Electrocution Grenade" ability.</li>
</ul>
Personally, we think it's totally awesome that they chose to release the game on the first day of E3, ensuring that we'll have to go the better part of a week after its release without playing it. We hope you guys don't mind showing a little solidarity by holding off your enjoyment until we get back. (Or, at the very least, just don't Tweet about it. Please?) Check out all the pre-order bonuses and pack shots you can handle in the gallery below!<br />

For all its strengths, <em>inFamous</em>'s black-and-white morality system left more than a few players feeling fairly cold. Developer Sucker Punch is taking those criticisms to heart for the sequel, making the players' decisions affect their world and their missions in more clear-cut ways. <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/02/11/what-goes-around-comes-around-more-on-the-infamous-2-karma-system/">PlayStation Blog</a> recently showed off a pair of videos, one showing the "Good" way to handle a rescue mission (save some cops, and let them take care of it), and the other showing the "Not So Good" method (hijack an explosive-filled streetcar and drive it into the enemy hideout).<br />
<br />
Check out these two trailers posted after the jump. Even if you're still not sold on <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2">inFamous 2</a></em>'s moral dichotomy, you can still watch Cole <em>totally wreck shop</em> for three whole minutes. There's absolutely <em>nothing</em> wrong with that.<br type="_moz" /><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/11/infamous-2-trailers-show-off-the-moral-dichotomy-of-destruction/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>inFamous 2 trailers show off the moral dichotomy of destruction</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/11/infamous-2-trailers-show-off-the-moral-dichotomy-of-destruction/">inFamous 2 trailers show off the moral dichotomy of destruction</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 Feb 2011 15:20:00 EST. If a recently uploaded (then swiftly removed) <a href="http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:pnbpkdxljfMJ:www.amazon.com/inFAMOUS-2-Hero-Playstation-3/dp/B004LWQ2TQ+Infamous+2+hero+edition&amp;cd=1&amp;hl=en&amp;ct=clnk&amp;gl=us&amp;client=firefox-a&amp;source=www.google.com">Amazon listing</a> for an <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2">inFamous 2</a></em> "Hero Edition" was legitimate, then the gaming community might just solve one of life's great mysteries when the Sucker Punch sequel comes out later this year: What the heck is in Cole McGrath's little backpack? The answer: A thermos, a Nintendo DS, some comic books, a half-empty bottle of flat soda, an ancient Crunchy Peanut Butter Clif Bar, and a tube of assorted Pogs and Slammers. In other words, the essential objects we carry with us when forced to leave the safe confines of our domestic abodes.<br />
<br />
Yes, one of the bonuses listed with the Hero Edition -- alongside an 8.5" Cole MacGrath statue, a voucher that gives access to new powers, weapons and character skins, an inFamous comic from DC Comics, and the game's soundtrack -- is a "Replica Cole MacGrath sling pack." We must have one, if only so that we can be halfway to becoming a city-climbing crimebuster. (All we'd need is, you know, powers. And courage. Like, any courage at all would help.) <br />
<br />
The special edition also includes a $99.99 price tag, and a super unofficial May 24 release date. Subtlety is, perhaps, not <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2</em></a>'s strength. Can you guess which of these two represents Cole's "good" side, and which one represents the "bad" one? <div style="text-align: left;">Developer Sucker Punch and DC Comics are teaming up for an <em>inFamous</em> comic book that will bridge protagonist Cole McGrath's story from the first game to the sequel. The book will be written by William Harms, illustrated by Eric Nguyen, and will span six issues. <br />
<br />
Following Cole's revelation at the end of the first game, the comic will explore his <em>move</em> from "Empire City" (a.k.a. NYC) to "New Marais" (you know: New Orleans) to battle <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/06/infamous-2-ravager-gameplay-footage/">creepy, mutant things</a> and prepare for ... well, you should go ahead and finish the first game before reading the comics. It's really good, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/01/joystiqs-top-10-of-2009-infamous/">we promise</a>.</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/20/infamous-comic-series-to-explore-time-between-games/">inFamous comic series to bridge gap between games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 20 Dec 2010 23:30:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>Infamous 2</em></a> is set to electrify (hopefully, <em>not</em> literally) the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/pax-2010">PAX</a> crowd with seven demo kiosks on the show floor this weekend. The demos feature Cole's new glorified cattle prod weapon and will be set up at booth #122, where developer Sucker Punch will be giving away a "limited number" of t-shirts (pictured).<br />
<br />
The crew from Sucker Punch will also be holding the "Creating Super Powers" panel in the Seattle Sheraton's Pegasus Theater at 6:30PM PT on Saturday. They'll show off the new Kinetic Pulse power and an enemy known as the "Ravager." It's sure to be electric ... boogie woogie woogie.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/02/infamous-2-at-pax-playable-panel-and-cool-shirt/">Infamous 2 at PAX: playable, panel and cool shirt</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 02 Sep 2010 17:30:00 EST. You know, we never thought that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/23/infamous-2s-cole-getting-a-retro-makeover/">our joke</a> about New Orleans' heat (well, <em>fake New Orleans</em>) would hold much water in the reasoning behind Cole's new, jacket-less look in <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2">inFamous 2</a></em>, but it turns out that's a big part of the logic. "New Marais is a city in the south: it's hot, it's humid, there's no way he can keep his leather jacket on, not for 10 minutes. So one of the decisions was to remove the jacket and put him in a T-shirt," Sucker Punch art director Mathias Lorenz said in a <a href="http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/news/articles/detail/item301356/inFamous-2-developer-interview/?site_locale=en_GB">recent interview</a>. Another factor, Lorenz says, was the addition of more complex parkour to <em>inFamous 2</em>. "I wanted to show off his body more rather than have his jacket hide his muscles," Lorenz explained.<br />
<br />
Alongside the fresh moves, Sucker Punch enlisted the help of a new voice actor who could also do motion capture work for the sequel's 3D cutscenes. Thusly, to make the voiceover work appear more natural, the new look also reflected that voice actor's real-life looks. As we already heard, however, the decision after E3 was to revert Cole almost entirely back to his original, messenger bag-toting form. But why? "When we revealed <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/03/video-infamous-2-gameplay-now-with-more-cyclones/">Cole at E3 2010</a>, we were taken aback by the uproar of fan support for the original Cole," Lorenz says. Though the folks at Sucker Punch weren't expecting such a backlash, "we listened to our fans and went back and took the best of everything to end up with the design we have settled on now." And there you have it -- don't go asking for the jacket to come back, though. It's simply <em>too hot</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/26/why-infamous-got-a-new-cole-and-why-he-was-changed-back/">Why inFamous got a new Cole (and why he was changed back)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 26 Aug 2010 17:00:00 EST. Set to the tune of "House of the Rising Sun," the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>InFamous 2</em></a> Gamescom trailer (embedded past the break) gives us the lowdown on the current state of turmoil that has befallen the town of New Marais. Fret not: though the majority of the trailer shows "slice of life" panoramic stills of the city, we <em>do</em> get a sampling of MacGrath's power at the conclusion. It would seem the dude's battery hasn't lost its charge since 2009.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/17/infamous-2-gamescom-trailer-takes-us-to-the-house-of-the-rising/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>InFamous 2 Gamescom trailer takes us to the house of the rising cyclone</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/17/infamous-2-gamescom-trailer-takes-us-to-the-house-of-the-rising/">InFamous 2 Gamescom trailer takes us to the house of the rising cyclone</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 17 Aug 2010 14:50:00 EST. Sucker Punch Productions' <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/comic-con-2010">Comic-Con 2010</a> panel offered a fairly comprehensive look at the past, present and future of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>inFamous</em></a> franchise, discussing a variety of topics ranging from protagonist Cole McGrath's creative origins to the inspirations behind his new crimefighting venue, New Marais. Of course, the biggest revelation came at the end of the panel, when the development team was forced to address Cole's biggest <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2009/5/27/">oft-criticized</a> weakness: his selective inability to climb chain link fences.<br />

Will our hero be able to conquer these sinister, interwoven palisades in the upcoming sequel? Answers await in <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/07/30/infamous-2-comic-con-panel-highlights/">PlayStation.Blog's video wrapup</a> of the panel, posted just after the jump.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/30/infamous-2-comic-con-panel-acknowledges-coles-fear-of-fences/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>inFamous 2 Comic-Con panel acknowledges Cole's fear of fences</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/30/infamous-2-comic-con-panel-acknowledges-coles-fear-of-fences/">inFamous 2 Comic-Con panel acknowledges Cole's fear of fences</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 30 Jul 2010 17:00:00 EST. Sony will release "fully localized" versions of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/killzone-3"><em>Killzone 3</em></a> (in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese) and <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/infamous-2"><em>inFamous 2</em></a> (in Spanish) in Latin America next year. According to the company, the localization will include "actors, action, dialog, effects and every inch of gameplay." We have no idea how "action" and "effects" are different in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, but it sounds fascinating. Speaking specifically about <em>inFamous 2</em>, Sony states localization for the region will create new elements that will "allow gamers to discover this open world in a relevant and unique way." <br />
<br />
Also set for Latin American release: a pair of "Gamer Kit" bundles for PS2 and PSP this August. The PS2 bundle includes a system, two DualShocks, an 8MB memory card and "three top games." The PSP one features the handheld, a travel case and "three popular games." The announcements come a year and a half after Sony <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/20/sony-of-america-expands-into-other-half-of-america/">expanded into the other half of the Americas</a> with PlayStation products, which, according to it, are now available in 18 countries on the same day as the US and Canada.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/29/killzone-3-and-infamous-2-being-fully-localized-for-latin-amer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Killzone 3 and inFamous 2 being 'fully localized' for Latin America</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/29/killzone-3-and-infamous-2-being-fully-localized-for-latin-amer/">Killzone 3 and inFamous 2 being 'fully localized' for Latin America</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Jul 2010 18:40:00 EST. Though <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>inFamous 2</em></a> protagonist Cole McGrath may have lost a bit of gruffness-of-voice since the series' first iteration, it seems he's gained a bit of .... well, gruffness-of-attitude. Check out <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/07/23/infamous-2-for-ps3-new-comic-con-cutscene/">the trailer below</a> to see the negatively-charged man give the low-down on his new stomping grounds.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/25/infamous-2-animated-cutscene-has-attitude-to-spare/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>inFamous 2 animated cutscene has attitude to spare</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/25/infamous-2-animated-cutscene-has-attitude-to-spare/">inFamous 2 animated cutscene has attitude to spare</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 25 Jul 2010 16:00:00 EST. Though <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/18/preview-infamous-2/">our brief time</a> with <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/infamous-2"><em>inFamous 2</em></a> at E3 last month was both savory <em>and</em> delicious, we were perplexed by protagonist Cole McGrath's apparent new super power: The ability to, well, <em>shift his shape</em>. The raven-haired, tattooed punk who we zapped around the city with didn't resemble the balding bike messenger we came to know and love from the original <em>inFamous</em>. Now <a href="http://ps3.ign.com/articles/110/1108060p1.html">IGN</a> reports that Cole's style is changing yet again -- this time, though, he'll closer resemble his old, less hirsute self.<br />
<br />
Developer Sucker Punch reportedly informed IGN of the changes with a pair of concept renders which the site wasn't at liberty to describe. We've contacted the developer as well, and hope they'll be able to confirm our suspicion that Cole has doffed his jacket because it's <em>so super hot</em> in Fake New Orleans.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/23/infamous-2s-cole-getting-a-retro-makeover/">inFamous 2's Cole getting a retro makeover</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 23 Jul 2010 13:00:00 EST.
