We're pretty sure Croteam is just joking, but the outcome is that it's having a contest for secret graffiti in Serious Sam 3: BFE, asking fans to submit some quick quips that will actually be posted in the game's environments, coded in Arabic and hieroglyphics.

You need to submit lines, either through Facebook or Twitter, by July 29, and the team's favorite lines will actually show up in the game. We were going to suggest the old standby "Kilroy was here," but someone on the Facebook page already posted that one, so we're out. Good luck to everyone else who enters!

Hosting the annual Game Developer Choice Awards is no joke -- but one does require plenty of amusing witticisms to make it off the stage alive. Double Fine's Tim Schafer has foolishly agreed to host the show again this year, prompting a mad quest to find the lolz necessary to combat the lulls. If you want to pretend to help him out, you can play the amazing adventure game, Host Master and the Conquest of Humor.

Us? We're going to rescue the man from catastrophic embarrassment by offering the following jokes, free of charge:
  • "Grand Theft Auto IV's a big contender tonight. Is anybody surprised? I know I'm not the only one who had a great time cruising around in stolen vehicles, running over prostitutes, doing stylish, drive-by shootings -- and then thought, 'Man, somebody should make a game out of this!'"

Yeah, we know, making jokes about fake Wii games and "playing with my wii" innuendo is, like, so 2006. But when Ze Frank does it, it all seems so fresh and new, mainly because he does it ... oh, what's the word ... well.

In between the "sophomoric ... even freshman ... ish" jokes, Ze also gets into the differences between playing with "girly" button-filled controllers and the Wii controller, which "you grab ... and you instinctively know what to do with it." Whether or not you agree with his sentiment, it's hard not to laugh when Ze makes absolutely everything about playing games seem dirty. Hey, if it works for space news, it can sure as hell work for video games.
