It's hard to imagine Microsoft having even more Kinect games in the wings than were shown at its Kinect-centric <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/06/microsoft-e3-keynote/">E3 presentation</a>, but there's at least one that didn't make it on stage: <em>Hole in the Wall</em>. The adaptation of the TV game show (about trying to fit through hilariously shaped cutouts in walls moving toward you) showed up in ratings <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/18/usk-rates-hole-in-the-wall-for-kinect-cut-the-rope-for-dsiware/">last</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/20/kinect-me-crimson-alliance-among-new-microsoft-games-rated/">month</a>, and has only now been announced by publisher Ludia. It'll be out on XBLA this summer, with single and online multiplayer, and " hilarious bonus videos from the TV show."<br />
<br />
But there's an unexpected twist! According to the press release, the deal with TV show producer Fremantle Media is for <em>Hole in the Wall games</em>, plural, and the release specifies that the first <em>Hole in the Wall</em> game is due this summer.<br />
<br />
It's a <em>series</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/15/hole-in-the-wall-games-officially-headed-to-kinect/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hole in the Wall games officially headed to Kinect</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/15/hole-in-the-wall-games-officially-headed-to-kinect/">Hole in the Wall games officially headed to Kinect</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 15 Jun 2011 17:16:00 EST. A trio of game ratings appeared on the Australian Classification website today, perhaps spoiling some of the titles Microsoft will announce just around the corner at E3. New entries for "<a href="http://www.classification.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/5b6ebdff7f5b9a24ca2575ca00062226/b89e449197dcda6cca257896005db763?OpenDocument">Crimson Alliance</a>," "<a href="http://www.classification.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/3ee9cf339ddee09eca2575ca000be1e3/7da88c824f17e27dca257896005d86de?OpenDocument">Fusion: Genesis</a>" and "<a href="http://www.classification.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/5b6ebdff7f5b9a24ca2575ca00062226/f11e2419dcc75d05ca257896005d7b9e?OpenDocument">Kinect Me</a>" all list Microsoft as publisher and run the gamut from Mature-rated to PG to G. Only the <em>Crimson Alliance</em> page notes a developer, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/certain-affinity/">Certain Affinity</a>, which is corroborated by the game's <a href="http://portal.mj.gov.br/ClassificacaoIndicativa/jsps/DadosJogoForm.do?select_action=&amp;tbjogo_codigo=3211">Brazilian classification</a>. Likewise a <a href="http://portal.mj.gov.br/ClassificacaoIndicativa/jsps/DadosJogoForm.do?select_action=&amp;tbjogo_codigo=3212">rating</a> for <em>Fusion: Genesis</em> has also shown up in Brazil, where both titles are listed for Xbox Live Arcade.<br />
<br />
<em>Kinect Me</em> remains the <em>most</em> mysterious of the mystery titles and could perhaps feature some connection to the <a href="http://www.kinect.me/">kinect.me</a> promotional site (pictured above) that's been live since last summer. A source tells <a href="http://www.siliconera.com/2011/05/20/kinect-fun-lab-will-be-revealed-at-e3-crimson-alliance-unearthed/">Siliconera</a> to expect an E3 announcement of <em>"Kinect Fun Lab," </em>which the site surmises could be a working title for <em>Kinect Me</em> -- both names are at least sufficiently generic-sounding to be one and the same game.<br />
<br />
Additionally, Brazil has classified two more Xbox Live Arcade titles, <a href="http://portal.mj.gov.br/ClassificacaoIndicativa/jsps/DadosJogoForm.do?select_action=&amp;tbjogo_codigo=3112"><em>Fruit Ninja Kinect</em></a> and <a href="http://portal.mj.gov.br/ClassificacaoIndicativa/jsps/DadosJogoForm.do?select_action=&amp;tbjogo_codigo=3210"><em>Hole in the Wall</em></a> (from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ludia/">Ludia</a>), supporting <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/28/fruit-ninja-kinect-rated-in-korea/">previous</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/18/usk-rates-hole-in-the-wall-for-kinect-cut-the-rope-for-dsiware/">ratings</a> of the pair of pending releases.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/20/kinect-me-crimson-alliance-among-new-microsoft-games-rated/">'Kinect Me,' 'Crimson Alliance' among new Microsoft games rated</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 20 May 2011 19:30:00 EST. Classic game show <em>Press Your Luck</em> will have a video game incarnation available starting tomorrow, August 24, on PSN. The game features online and couch co-op for up to three people, along with solo play and over 2,500 trivia questions. The game will likely be $10, but we'll have to wait for confirmation tomorrow.<br />
<br />
Sadly, the video game based on the '80s game show does not feature announcer Rod Roddy nor host Peter Tomarken, who died in 2003 and 2006, respectively. However, it does feature the Whammy, whose lifeforce is filled through human suffering and a steady diet of $100 bills. Check out a video of the game after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/24/big-money-no-whammies-press-your-luck-coming-to-psn/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Big money, no Whammies! <strong>Update:</strong> Comments have been closed and winners will be contacted shortly. If you're not checking those inboxes yet, now would be a good time to start doing so!<br />
<br />
We know we've been pushing nothing but family entertainment on you with our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/swag-saturday">Swag Saturday</a> posts for a few weeks now, and, well, this week isn't much different. We've got a prize pack full of two "2010 Edition" Nintendo Wii games that are sure to get the family together and, quite possibly, at each others throats (in a <em>wholesome</em> kinda way): <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/family-feud"><em>Family Feud</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-price-is-right"><em>The Price is Right</em></a>! Hey, one of those even has the word "family" in the title! <br />
<br />
To get your hands on the prize pack, all you have to do is leave a comment telling us what your favorite game show of all time is. We'll pick a winner at random from the entries sometime this week, so be sure to check those inboxes!<br />
<ul>
    <li>Leave a comment telling us what your favorite game show of all time is.</li>
    <li>You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec -- partially because of C&eacute;line Dion, mostly because of Alanis Morissette)</li>
    <li><strong>Limit 1 entry per person per day</strong></li>
    <li>This entry period ends at <strong>10:31PM ET on Monday, November 30<br />
    </strong></li>
    <li>At that time, we'll randomly select one winner to receive one copy of <em>The Price is Right</em> for Nintendo Wii ($40 ARV) and one copy of <em>Family Feud</em> for Nintendo Wii ($40 ARV).</li>

CBS announced today that it's bringing a wide array of its TV programming to the video game world, mainly via the PC, Wii and DS. As you can see after the break, the company revealed equally insipid-sounding game versions of <em>Survivor</em>, <em>Hollywood Squares</em>, <em>The Amazing Race, </em>and <em>Criminal Minds</em>, but we don't see how we're supposed to care about any of it when it was also revealed that a <em>Diagnosis Murder </em>game is in the works.<br />
<br />
We're assuming it's a Visceral-developed "dark" take on the <em>DM</em> mythos, with a Gothic Dr. Mark Sloan walking a demonic version of Los Angeles, solving murder mysteries with a caduceus-shaped staff dipped in angel blood. We assume this because we laid out the design doc <em>pretty</em> clearly in our letters, and we can't fathom why CBS would want to disappoint us.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/04/cbs-bringing-diagnosis-murder-to-gaming-platforms/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>CBS bringing Diagnosis Murder, some other stuff to gaming platforms</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/04/cbs-bringing-diagnosis-murder-to-gaming-platforms/">CBS bringing Diagnosis Murder, some other stuff to gaming platforms</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 04 Nov 2009 05:00:00 EST. Listen, guys. Warner Bros. Interactive is going to need a <em>ton</em> of money if it wants to provide marketing support for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/scribblenauts"><em>Scribblenauts</em></a> when it comes out this September. Without these ads, the game may not sell well, which could injure our chances of ever getting future <em>'nauts</em> titles. To ensure that we never encounter such a terrible future, we have an unpleasant task we must entrust you with: You need to go pre-order the <a href="http://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/home/permalink/?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;newsId=20090729005338&amp;newsLang=en">recently announced</a> video game adaptations of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette that WBI is publishing.<br /><br />We know -- you've been holding out for a video game adaptation of <a href="http://www.vh1.com/shows/rock_of_love/season_3/series.jhtml"><em>Rock of Love Bus</em></a>. However, with <em>Hell's Kitchen</em> developer Ludia Inc. in charge of development, this pair of titles will ... okay, they're going to be awful. Still, you guys owe us. Remember that incident in Little Tokyo we helped you out of? <em>Yeah, you do</em>. Better get moving -- Gamestop's only open 'til nine.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/29/warner-bros-releasing-bachelor-and-bachelorette-games/">Warner Bros. releasing Bachelor and Bachelorette games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 29 Jul 2009 19:55:00 EST. The Fantastic Journey</em></a>, coming out on Wii, DS, PC, and Mac in September. iPhone, originally announced as one of the platforms, is conspicuously absent from the list.<br /><br /><em>The Fantastic Journey</em> allows one or more players to search not just for Waldo, but for his friends and other items. The multiplayer mode features power-ups that shake opponents' screens or cover them in paint, freeze the search window, or enhance items on your own screen.<br /><br />The first screens, available in our gallery, show the Wii version. We have to wonder at whom these are targeted: kids aren't going to remember, or even know, <em>Where's Waldo</em>, and the concept of just looking for a guy in a picture is kind of laughable now that the fad is over. Does that mean that this is intended to serve adults' <em>Where's Waldo</em> nostalgia? Is there such a thing?<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/wheres-waldo-the-fantastic-journey-wii/">Where's Waldo? A moment like that begs for a video game adaptation, but we doubt that's what we'll be getting when Ubisoft brings the beloved game show, along with <em>Press Your Luck </em>and <em>The Price Is Right</em> to Wii, DS and PC this fall.<br />
<br />
But wait, Joystiq, there's already a <em>Price Is Right </em>on Wii! No friends, this is <em>The Price Is Right 2010</em>. In fact, all the games have a year attached at the end. Because if there's ever been IPs that beg for annualized versions, it's game shows that haven't changed in five decades.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/31/no-whiimies-ubisoft-bringing-press-your-luck-family-feud/">No Whiimies! Canadian developer Ludia <a href="http://www.ludia.com/pressreleaseWALDO.php">announced</a> today that it will create games based on the <em>Where's Waldo?</em> book series. The first game by the company, <em>Where's Waldo? The Fantastic Journey</em>, will release on consoles, PC/Mac, iPhone and iPod touch. The game is slated for Q3 of this year and we're desperately trying to get our hands on some screen shots -- just so we can find Waldo in them.<br /><br />Waldo hasn't been working the video game circuit for quite some time -- although he does have an <a href="http://findwaldo.com/">online presence</a>. He had some PC outings in the mid-'90s, but his most recent console adventures appear to be a couple of laughable <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where%27s_Waldo%3F_%28video_game%29">NES</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Waldo_Search_%28video_game%29">Super NES</a> games from the early '90s. The new game will have players finding several objects beyond the titled protagonist, with up to four players working cooperatively or competitively. At least today's gaming hardware should be able to render the mess that is one of the <em>Where's Waldo?</em> pictures.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/25/dont-call-it-a-comeback-wheres-waldo-game-in-production/">Don't call it a comeback: 'Where's Waldo?' game in production</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 25 Feb 2009 03:00:00 EST. You know what? Not all the E3 news can be megatons. In fact, that seems to be the rule more than it is the exception anymore. But sometimes publishers try to slip a dud under the radar even after we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/15/ubisofts-e3-2008-press-conference-liveblogging/"><em>just</em> <em>talked to them</em></a>. Yes, we're looking at you Ubisoft. Well, we're looking at both you and the recently announced <em>The Price is Right</em>, coming to Wii, DS, PC and Mac in September 2008. You're lucky we're walleyed. <br />
<br />
The release covertly slipped into our email box is also notable for containing <em>absolutely </em>no details that you couldn't guess on your own. We'll leave you to it.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/15/the-price-is-right-for-wii-ds-pc-and-mac/">The Price Is Right for Wii, DS, PC and Mac</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 15 Jul 2008 22:30:00 EST. The game, which will also include a number of Ramsey's favorite recipes, is expected to ship in 2008 in order to coincide with the debut of the fourth season of <em>Hell's Kitchen</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/26/hells-kitchen-gets-game-treatment/">Hell's Kitchen gets game treatment</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 26 Oct 2007 13:55:00 EST.
