The city may be a staple of the game now, but <em>Remember Me</em>'s development saw Nilin potentially memory jacking foes in the United States or Australia before settling on the dev team's home base.<br /><br />"Since the beginning, I really wanted to have <em>Remember Me</em> not being all French, for instance," Dontnod creative lead Jean-Maxime Moris told us in an interview this week at Gamescom. "Neo-Paris was a late choice, because we wanted to stay away from it. We had that global warming element to the game," Moris added, a reference to the concepts <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/17/introducing-adrift-the-first-game-from-dontnod-entertainment-f/">we saw last year</a> when the game was still known as "Adrift."<br /><br />"First we thought about Australia or the US, and then we were like, 'Well, let's just stick to Paris, because we have all the material, it's a great city, and it hasn't been done in the way we wanna do it,'" Moris said. Beyond just a thematic shift, the choice of Neo-Paris fits with the game having an international feel, he said.<br /><br />"There are French elements to the game, but we wanted it to have some American appeal - kind of really extending the scope of the city, and the characters, and the scope of the robots. And at the same time, there is definitely a Japanese feel to it with the cyberpunk theme. Japanese have been eating cyberpunk for breakfast for 30 years now. Ghost in the Shell, and Akira and all those things," Moris added.<br /><br />We might've followed up to that question, but we were too busy thinking about Japanese people eating cyberpunk for breakfast. What a dangerous proposition!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/17/remember-mes-neo-paris-was-a-late-choice-us-au-both-cons/">Remember Me's 'Neo-Paris' was a 'late choice,' US / AU both considered</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 17 Aug 2012 10:00:00 EST. I just happened to be in the neighborhood this week while on a month-long trek across Europe, so I paid my 5 &euro; along with the 10 &euro; museum admission for the audio guide, and was handed a Korean Air-branded black 3DS and a pair of headphones on the way to go see some of the world's finest art.<br /> <br /> The 3DS isn't the only portable device in use as a museum tour guide. While visiting the Mus&eacute;e d'Orsay last week, I was handed an iPod touch in a special security case, and walked around among the works of French impressionists while using Apple's device to hear insights in English. And I've used quite a few other audio guides on this trip - in London, Westminster Abbey and the Royal Observatory both used custom-made audio guide systems, with a keypad and a play button to choose certain audio tracks for various sights on the tour.<br /> <br /> But the 3DS was definitely the only gaming-specific device I've seen in use so far. And because of all of the various technologies included, specifically the wireless features, it actually did a great job.<br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-louvre-audioguide/">3DS Louvre Audioguide</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-louvre-audioguide/#4974633"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/3dslouvresized01-1334834073-1334864244_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-louvre-audioguide/#4974634"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/3dslouvresized02-1334834086-1334864247_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-louvre-audioguide/#4974635"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/3dslouvresized03-1334834100-1334864250_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-louvre-audioguide/#4974636"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/3dslouvresized04-1334834112-1334864252_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/3ds-louvre-audioguide/#4974637"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/3dslouvresized05-1334834120-1334864255_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/19/touring-the-louvre-with-a-3ds/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Touring the Louvre with a 3DS</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/19/touring-the-louvre-with-a-3ds/">Touring the Louvre with a 3DS</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 19 Apr 2012 15:00:00 EST. Two competitors enter, <em>no one leaves</em>. That's because this particular battle takes place inside the windows of two adjacent buildings in Paris. A user on the <a href="http://www.gamoover.net/Forums/index.php?topic=23853.msg358486#msg358486">Gamoover forum</a> has photographed the ongoing, unstated Post-it art contest between Ubisoft Montreuil and the bank BNP.<br />
<br />
Over the course of a few months, the occupants of the two buildings continued to one-up each other with pixelart tableaus, including Space Invaders, taunting Pong scenes, Marios, Galaga ships, and a Rabbid. The crowning achievement in this battle of work evasion, in our opinion, is the pixelated Blanka vs. Ken scene, above.<br />
<br />
We like to imagine enthusiastic meetings in the Post-it office about the sudden Post-it bubble economy that this competition started.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/03/ubisoft-vs-bnp-in-post-it-art-grudge-match/">Ubisoft vs. BNP in Post-it art grudge match</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 03 Aug 2011 13:30:00 EST. Parisian gallery <a href="http://www.arludik.com/indexeng.htm">Arludik</a> will feature concept art created for the <em>Assassin's Creed</em> series during the month of October. "Assassin's Creed L'Exposition" will run from October 5-30 and features 35 pieces of original concept art. Ubisoft claims the canvases have been appraised between &euro;600 ($820) and &euro;2,000 ($2,725). <br />
<br />
If you'd like to own a piece of the exhibit, two pieces were selected to have a limited run of 149 lithograph prints. Those will go on sale, likely in the <a href="http://www.arludik.com/indexeng.htm">limited edition section</a> of the gallery's website, for &euro;80 ($110). Those pieces will come with a certificate of authenticity and will be hand-signed by Ubi's graphic art director. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to <a href="http://mo5.com/index.php">MO5</a>, an organization seeking to preserve the history of video games.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/30/assassins-creed-artwork-being-showcased-in-paris-gallery/">Assassin's Creed artwork being showcased in Paris gallery</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 30 Sep 2010 04:00:00 EST. Ubisoft must have found <em>TrackMania</em> creator Nadeo to really be <em>speaking its language</em>, as the French publisher has acquired the, uh, <em>French </em>developer in a bid to drift into the online gaming sector. "Through Nadeo, Ubisoft will gain an expert team, one of the best online technologies around as well as a flagship multiplayer game that enjoys an unrivaled reputation among a loyal and committed community," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot observed. <br /><br />The acquisition of Nadeo comes just weeks after the developer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/20/nadeo-announces-trackmania-2-at-paris-games-festival/">announced</a> a true <em>TrackMania</em> sequel, <em>TrackMania 2,</em> at the Paris Games Festival.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/06/ubisoft-acquires-trackmania-dev-to-build-online-cred/">Ubisoft acquires TrackMania dev to build online cred</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 06 Oct 2009 13:20:00 EST. One <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/burn-zombie-burn"><em>Burn Zombie Burn!</em></a> player will be able to go off on a rather romantic trip with a friend to see the sights of Europe. Doublesix is going to take the top scorer of the "Secret Lab" level of the PSN game to Paris, where they'll spend three nights at the Aida Opera Hotel and visit the Catacombs of Paris and Pere Lachaise Cemetery. After the French expedition, the winner will be sent to the Mercure Hotel in Luxor, Egypt, to spend five days touring the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple (pictured). <div align="left">Nothing says, "I'm Irish ... <em>really</em>!" like Flogging Molly. And that's exactly the music that EA's Pandemic Studios chose for the new gameplay trailer of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/saboteur"><em>The Saboteur</em></a> you see above. Sure, we enjoyed the game when we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/08/hands-on-the-saboteur/">checked it out at E3 2009</a>, even though it still looked a bit undercooked at the time.</div>
<br /> And yes, sneaking around WWII-era Paris as a rogue Irishman with a penchant for chaos <em>does</em> sound good to us. But if this music is any indication of the game's attitude, we're feeling a bit wary about it. There's only so much clich&eacute; one can take, folks.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> EA would like us to point out that the trailer above is "made for Germany" and thus" had to be softened for their guidelines." We're pretty sure that means more blood and actual Nazis when the game ships Stateside. Er, um, <em>not in Germany</em> at least.<br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-saboteur/">The Saboteur</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-saboteur/#2233817"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-25_13-19-00-4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-saboteur/#2233816"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-25_13-19-00-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-saboteur/#2233815"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-25_13-19-00-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-saboteur/#2233814"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-25_13-19-00-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/the-saboteur/#2233813"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/08/2009-08-25_13-19-00-5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/18/the-saboteur-visits-brothels-explodes-nazis-has-an-accent/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>The Saboteur visits brothels, explodes Nazis, has an accent</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/18/the-saboteur-visits-brothels-explodes-nazis-has-an-accent/">The Saboteur visits brothels, explodes Nazis, has an accent</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 18 Aug 2009 17:00:00 EST. Count on SCEE to be among the many professionals heading over to France next month for the <a href="http://www.parismasterclasses.com/content/paris-master-classes">Paris Master Classes</a> event. On June 25 and 26, Sony Europe together with other veteran developers from all around the industry (including developers for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/alan-wake"><em>Alan Wake</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/world-of-warcraft"><em>World of Warcraft</em></a>, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/resistance-2">Resistance 2</a></em> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/assassins-creed-2"><em>Assassin's Creed 2</em></a>) will be hosting day-long training sessions for aspiring talent. <br /><br />Sony's Master Class will be free, unlike the other training workshops and ... the <a href="http://www.parismasterclasses.com/content/prices">event itself</a>, which will cost quite a bit. Still, if you're serious about honing your craft and just starting out in the industry, this looks like a good place to get some experience. Joystiq had a chance to catch up with <em>Diablo 3</em>'s lead designer Jay Wilson (whom you may know from his work on a little game called <a href="http://www.dawnofwargame.com/"><em>Dawn of War</em></a>) and pick his brain about how he got on the <span style="font-style: italic;">Diablo 3</span> project, what's in store for Battle.net, and the secret cow level.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/diablo-3/">Diablo III</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/diablo-3/#1461581"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/diablo3.4-3302009-4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/diablo-3/#1461580"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/diablo3.3-3302009-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/diablo-3/#1461579"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/diablo3.2-3302009-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/diablo-3/#1461578"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/03/diablo3.1-3302009-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/diablo-3/#1272399"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/diablo3an83_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/29/joystiq-chats-with-jay-wilson-on-diablo-3/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Joystiq chats with Jay Wilson on Diablo 3</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/29/joystiq-chats-with-jay-wilson-on-diablo-3/">Joystiq chats with Jay Wilson on Diablo 3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 29 Jun 2008 03:00:00 EST. Only seconds ago we were shown a cinematic from Blizzard's newest game: <a href="http://eu.blizzard.com/diablo3/"><span style="font-style: italic;">Diablo 3</span></a>. We're currently being shown a live demo of the game (which we're reminded is a work in progress) by lead designer Jay Wilson. The look and feel of the game -- though graphically updated from its aging sibling -- looks a lot like the dungeon crawls we all know and love from the original series. We're promised more loot, more quests (and some old friends like Deckard Cain), and new environments. Classes demo'd include the familiar Barbarian and the brand new Witch Doctor (a master of disease and fire who will control pets). Says Wilson, the game is "primarily cooperative" and it will be quick and easy to form groups over Battle.net. Sorry, folks who were expecting an MMO, but it sounds like Diablo 3 will continue in the tried-and-true <span style="font-style: italic;">Diablo</span> format.<br /><br /><u>Update</u>: Blizzard's European site is now live with the cinematic teaser and gameplay footage for your perusal!<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/worldwide-invitational-2008-diablo-3/">Worldwide Invitational 2008: Diablo 3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/worldwide-invitational-2008-diablo-3/#888565"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/img_2116_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/worldwide-invitational-2008-diablo-3/#888618"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/img_2117_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/worldwide-invitational-2008-diablo-3/#888621"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/img_2118_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/worldwide-invitational-2008-diablo-3/#888592"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/img_2119_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/worldwide-invitational-2008-diablo-3/#888577"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2008/06/img_2121_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/28/blizzard-introduces-diablo-3/">Blizzard introduces Diablo 3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 28 Jun 2008 06:30:00 EST. He seems pleased by the camera's performance, especially considering its budget price. Take a look for yourself in his <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/73736671@N00/">Flickr photostream</a>. A <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=449875080&amp;size=o">close-up look</a> at the pictures reveals tons of artifacting and other visual glitches, meaning the camera won't replace a dedicated digital camera.<br /><br />One of the more crucial problems with the camera appears to be how it reacts to sunlight. "I wanted to take a picture of the Eiffel Tower with the sunset. And guess what happened: for one little second, the sun was SO bright my eyes hurt and I had to close them, and the camera went <strong>completely black. </strong>The sun killed the lens for some time. I watching and taking pictures, all black, until I turned off the PSP completely, and rebooted it, and it was working again. My hypothesis is that the Sun might kill the lenses for a little time if it's too bright."<br />It doesn't come as too surprising that such a cheap camera won't handle the sun's powerful rays. Hopefully, if Sony ever decides to officially release the peripheral in the States, the camera will be able to handle a bit more.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/08/psp-camera-doesnt-like-sunlight-garlic/">PSP camera doesn't like sunlight, garlic</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 08 Apr 2007 09:00:00 EST. Everyone's favorite <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/20/metareview-red-steel/">overly-hyped-shooter-with-glitchy-aiming-mechanisms-and-unintuitive-combat</a> seems to be gearing up for another go. Ubisoft's Paris division has posted a big digital "Help Wanted" ad on the internet, whose transcript shall be withheld to save the reader from silly BabelFish translation errors. In any case, it asks for a game designer for the "continuation of the Red Steel franchise". There is no direct confirmation that the sequel will be on the Wii, but come on. It's pretty damn obvious.<br /><br />One must wonder if the world really <em>wants</em> this. If they can iron out the bugs, improve level design, and add more realistic melee combat, maybe they'll have a winner. If not, we'll always have Super Smash Bros. If nothing else, a DS Lite is certainly more stylish than that old, beat-up Rand McNally that lives in the floorboard of your car. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://ds.qj.net/Get-a-map-of-Paris-on-your-DS-with-Metro-Paris-v1-0/pg/49/aid/68107">QJ.net</a>] </span></span><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/04/the-ds-is-your-co-pilot/">The DS is your co-pilot</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 04 Oct 2006 16:09:00 EST. Xboxyde delivers again with another <a href="http://www.xboxyde.com/stream_2761_en.html">video</a> from the Japan Expo in Paris. This one shows us the first seven minutes of Capcom's <em>Dead Rising. </em>In case your world view is hindered by the rock you live under, <em>Dead Rising</em> is basically <em>Dawn of the Dead</em> the videogame -- and currently a big favorite at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/07/360-games-top-the-rental-charts/">Gamefly</a>. You play a photojournalist who winds up inside a shopping mall full of zombies. Lucky for you, the mall is full of all kinds of stuff to kill zombies with: guns, lawn mowers, chainsaws, bowling balls, and even the kitchen sink for all we know. <br />
<br />
You won't see any of that in this video, though. It's mostly introduction. And like the <em>Sonic</em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/09/see-the-blue-blur-in-motion/">videos</a> yesterday, there is no sound and some dude's face keeps popping in and out of the frame. I will say one thing: it's damned pretty (the game, not the face). Enjoy!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/10/7-minutes-in-undead-heaven/">7 minutes in undead heaven</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 10 Jul 2006 10:30:00 EST. We just hope our love of the game(s) will stay with us as it has for Mr. Thomas, whether we're watching from home or working the show floor in person in post-apocalyptic L.A. The parties will be sure to be awesome.<br /><br /><strong>See also:</strong><br />

<p>A split second away from hitting the delete hotkey, I paused when I noticed that Paris Hilton was the celeb who'd be making an appearance. But this will be no <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2005/11/18/paris-hiltons-new-toy-an-xbox-360/">typical Paris Hilton gaming appearance</a>. This time, Ms. Hilton will be working the chubby hordes who visit the West Hall to snag her signature and maybe check out the game that will bear her name, <em>Paris Hilton's Jewelry Case</em>. (No joke.)<br /></p>
<p>Paris will be hanging out (and we do mean <em>hanging out</em>) at the Gameloft booth (#2200) on Thursday for two hours. We wonder if she'll have to abide by <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/01/23/censorship-at-e3/">the new E3 booth babe rules</a>, which state: "Material, including live models, conduct that is sexually explicit and/or sexually provocative, including but not limited to nudity, partial nudity and bathing suit bottoms, are prohibited on the Show floor, all common areas, and at any access points to the Show."</p>
<p>Break the ESA's rules at your own risk, Paris. No sexual provocation, or we'll have you bounced. Be a good girl, got it?<br /></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/10/paris-hilton-as-an-e3-booth-babe/">Paris Hilton as an E3 booth babe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 10 May 2006 09:45:00 EST. This time around, American and British forces are joined by Canadian troops, Polish tanks, and French freedom fighters in a reenactment of the bloody Normandy Breakout campaign spearheaded during the summer of 1944. In the push to Paris, you'll get to choose how you approach each mission, free of menu screens and jarring non-interactive cut-scenes."<br /><br />Here's what IGN quoted from Activision for the announcement yesterday: "Through the eyes of four Allied soldiers, <em>Call of Duty 3</em> brings players closer to the fury of combat as they fight through the Normandy Breakout, the harrowing offensive that liberated Paris and changed the fate of the world. Developed by Treyarch, <em>Call of Duty 3</em> is the follow up to the #1 next-generation game and is scheduled for a 2006 release." Fingering the developer and the setting? Not too shabby -- while Joystiq pats itself on the back.<br /><br />Check out the IGN trailer below for a first-person look somewhat reminiscent of the FPS sequence in the <em>Metal Gear Solid 4</em> trailer from TGS. At the end of the "official E3 teaser" trailer, a number of platforms are listed, with the major manufacturers (including a small "Nintendo Revolution" in text) and publisher/developer combo listed. We suspect that versions for the PC and possibly the current-gen consoles will be covered with ports as well. Now all we have to do is wait for the word on <em>Call of Duty: Modern Warfare</em>. (Infinity Ward, we're looking at you!) More info obviously hitting at E3.<br /><br />[Thanks, icemorebutts, jason, &amp; Hiro Protagonist]<br /><br />[Update 1: Had to fix a verb.
