It's been a long time coming, but the much-traveled Pikachu 3DS XL is on its way to North America, and it arrives next weekend on March 24. The yummy yellow edition comes with a 4GB SD memory card, and is priced $199.99.<br /><br />Nintendo is also incentivizing a buy with one of the two 3DS games coming out on the same day, namely <em>Pok&eacute;mon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinit</em>y and <em>Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon</em>. If you register the Pika-portable and one of those two games before April 30, you'll receive a bonus download code for one of five 3DS games.<br /><br />The five games up for grabs are <em>Super Mario 3D Land</em>, <em>Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask</em>, <em>Star Fox 64 3D</em>, <em>Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive,</em> and everyone's favorite college of craft, <em>Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone!</em><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/14/pikachu-3ds-xl-sparks-into-north-america-on-march-24/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Pikachu 3DS XL sparks into North America on March 24</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/14/pikachu-3ds-xl-sparks-into-north-america-on-march-24/">Pikachu 3DS XL sparks into North America on March 24</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 14 Mar 2013 08:30:00 EST. For free, there's a demo of <em>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity</em> (more of a gate to finity in the demo, we suppose); for relatively cheap, there's the new <em>Kersploosh!</em>, Virtual Console oldie <em>Wrecking Crew</em>, and a week-long discount on the excellent <em>Sakura Samurai</em>.<br /><br />There are also retail-ish releases, led by Renegade Kid's <em>ATV Wild Ride 3D</em>, a new 3DS update of a game originally released on DS. At $8, it's cheaper than retail. <em>Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D </em>launches on eShop today as well.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/07/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-pokemon-mystery-demo-kersploosh/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Nintendo eShop releases: Pokemon Mystery Demo, Kersploosh</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/07/new-nintendo-eshop-releases-pokemon-mystery-demo-kersploosh/">New Nintendo eShop releases: Pokemon Mystery Demo, Kersploosh</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Mar 2013 15:00:00 EST. We've already covered concrete EU release dates for <em>Animal Crossing: New Leaf </em>(<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/14/animal-crossing-new-leaf-coming-june-9/">June 14</a>), <em>Fire Emblem Awakening</em> (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/14/mh3-ultimate-fire-emblem-awakening-eu-bundles-unveiled-circle/">April 19</a>), and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/14/new-mario-and-donkey-kong-dillon-and-more-headed-to-3ds-eshop/">others</a>, so let's quickly go over the stragglers.<br /><br />First up is <em>Pok&eacute;mon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity</em>, which brings its mix of cute critters and dungeon crawling to the continent on May 17. As for the rest, it's just release windows for now. Splattered across the panes of the spring window are <em>Etrian Odyssey 4</em> and the download-only <em>Code of Princess</em>, while <em>Project X Zone</em> and a 3DS version of <em>Inazuma Eleven 3</em>, with 3D-enhanced graphics, are baking in the heat of the summer window.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/14/nintendo-direct-eu-release-date-round-up-pokemon-mystery-dungeo/">Nintendo Direct EU release date round-up: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 14 Feb 2013 12:25:00 EST. The first item of DLC, the Pok&eacute; Forest Mystery Dungeon, will be free from March 24 to April 30.<br /><br />It'll be accompanied by three other non-free DLC dungeons, with more scheduled to come out throughout April. All of the dungeons will include new items and new Pok&eacute;mon to meet - which, we understand, is somewhat of a draw for Pok&eacute;mon fans.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity-poke-forest-dlc/">Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (Poke Forest DLC)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity-poke-forest-dlc/#5623493"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/pmd1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity-poke-forest-dlc/#5623494"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/pmd2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity-poke-forest-dlc/#5623495"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/pmd3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity-poke-forest-dlc/#5623496"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/pmd4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity-poke-forest-dlc/#5623497"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/02/pmd5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/07/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-launches-with-free-poke-forest-dlc/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon launches with free Poke Forest DLC</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/07/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-launches-with-free-poke-forest-dlc/">Pokemon Mystery Dungeon launches with free Poke Forest DLC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Feb 2013 17:30:00 EST. There, three new dungeons have been released as paid DLC.<br /><br />Pokapoka Mountain is home to a bunch of Fire type Pok&eacute;mon, and costs &yen;150 ($1.69). Sweets Road is full of desserts that provide XP when eaten. This dessert course costs &yen;200. Finally, Ultimate Desert (one 's') is a 99-floor dungeon that limits you to level 5 at the beginning. This challenging DLC is &yen;300.<br /><br />These three are the latest in a line of DLC dungeons to be released since November 23 in Japan. If Nintendo matches this schedule for the March release of the American version, you can look forward to 12 new dungeons in the first two months.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/15/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-gates-to-infinity-offers-dlc-for-desser/">Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity offers DLC for dessert</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 15 Jan 2013 12:00:00 EST. The localized title, <em>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity</em>, removes the Japanese title's reference to "Magnagates" presumably because that word is really hard to read.<br /><br />Magnagates still figure into the game design, however, allowing players to scan any real-world circular shape with the 3DS camera, turning the image of that object into a gate through which new, randomly-generated dungeons can be accessed.<br /><br />Like other recent releases, Gates to Infinity will be released both as a cartridge and on the eShop.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/20/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-opens-gates-to-infinity-on-3ds-in-marc/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon opens 'Gates to Infinity' on 3DS in March</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/20/pokemon-mystery-dungeon-opens-gates-to-infinity-on-3ds-in-marc/">Pokemon Mystery Dungeon opens 'Gates to Infinity' on 3DS in March</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Dec 2012 09:30:00 EST.
