The result has the player running around an island in between slower enemy bullets, trying to aim those bullets at other bad guys, all the while collecting gems and power-ups.<br /><br />Sounds fun. There are multiple levels and game modes to unlock as you play the game, which you can open up by collecting more and more gems. <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/rebel"><em>Rebel</em></a> is available right now on any PlayStation Mobile device (including the PS Vita) for $1.99.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/13/unique-shooter-rebel-comes-to-playstation-mobile/">Unique shooter 'Rebel' comes to PlayStation Mobile</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 13 Oct 2012 21:00:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/alien-zombie-mega-death"><em>Alien Zombie Mega Death</em></a> is just as frantic as its convoluted title implies. The shooter, which started life as a PSP Mini last year before being ported to a full PSN release for PS3 by developer PomPom, tasks players with clearing out rows of extraterrestrial undead while avoiding their slimy projectiles. Following that, it tasks them with defusing bombs, planting power-ups, rescuing space babies and shooting down bosses -- hopefully, we pray, not at the same time.<br />
<br />
The game launches tomorrow, June 21, on the PlayStation Network, where it will cost $7.99. Check out the <em>absolutely bananacakes</em> launch trailer after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/20/alien-zombie-mega-death-shooting-a-path-to-psn-this-tuesday/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Alien Zombie Mega Death shooting a path to PSN this Tuesday</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/20/alien-zombie-mega-death-shooting-a-path-to-psn-this-tuesday/">Alien Zombie Mega Death shooting a path to PSN this Tuesday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 20 Jun 2011 16:30:00 EST. PomPom Games, creators of the PSN-exclusive <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/astro-tripper"><em>Astro Tripper</em></a>, are working on yet another downloadable title for PS3. <em>Gemini Rings</em> won't be a shoot-em-up like its predecessor, but PomPom is promising "stuff gets blown up." <a href="http://www.gamerbytes.com/2009/04/a_peek_at_pompoms_gemini_rings.php">GamerBytes</a> postulates that the game will follow a formula similar to PSP's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/every-extend-extra"><em>Every Extend Extra</em></a> or <a href="http://xbox.joystiq.com/tag/geometry-wars-2"><em>Geometry Wars 2</em></a>'s Pacifist mode.<br /><br />No additional details are available yet, but we're eager to find out more. PomPom's <em>Astro Tripper</em> wasn't the best game on PSN, but it was easily worth its affordable $5 asking price.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/15/astro-tripper-dev-working-on-new-psn-game-gemini-rings/">Astro Tripper dev working on new PSN game: Gemini Rings</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 15 Apr 2009 18:30:00 EST.
