Yes, <em>Killzone</em>'s 1-3 - which aren't places, but games - are getting boxed and bundled for the PlayStation 3 as "Killzone Trilogy," arriving this October. The first of the three games is even getting an HD makeover for its re-release, and all the multiplayer content for the latter two games is included in the package.<br /><br />The whole shebang will run $39.99/&euro;49.99/&pound;40.84 when it arrives on October 23 in the US and October 24 in Europe. That's a ridiculously specific group of people if you ask us.<br /><br />Should you have played one of the two games that the collection comprises - <em>The Umbrella Chronicles</em> and <em>The Darkside Chronicles</em> - each game will be individually released for $14.99 a few weeks later on July 17. <p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/25/resident-evil-chronicles-hd-collection-makes-calculated-moves-t/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection makes calculated moves to PSN on June 26</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/25/resident-evil-chronicles-hd-collection-makes-calculated-moves-t/">Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection makes calculated moves to PSN on June 26</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 25 May 2012 12:30:00 EST. The <em>Gears of War</em> franchise is no stranger to re-releases, having "Platinum" and "Game of the Year" collections across its two titles so far. However, it appears Microsoft is planning one more re-release, tentatively titled <em>Gears of War Ultimate</em>, according to a GameStop listing spotted by <a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/114/1142319p1.html">IGN</a>. Pegged with a February 15th date, <em>Ultimate</em> has a $29.99 price tag.<br />
<br />
Although the listing has since been removed, a Microsoft representative confirmed plans for a "forthcoming bundle SKU," suggesting that Ultimate is, at the very least, a compilation of the two <em>Gears of War</em> games. Don't expect to see any <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/gears-of-war-3"><em>Gears of War 3</em></a>-related content, though. The representative confirmed "it will not involve <em>Gears of War 3</em> or <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/17/bulletstorm-epic-edition-includes-gears-of-war-3-beta/">the beta</a>." You'll have to pick up <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/bulletstorm"><em>Bulletstorm</em></a> instead if you want entry into the beta.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/01/gears-of-war-ultimate-coming-in-february-for-30-retail-listi/">'Gears of War Ultimate' coming in February for $30, retail listing says</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 01 Jan 2011 10:00:00 EST. So far, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/square-enix">Square Enix</a> has said that a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/final-fantasy-vii"><em>Final Fantasy VII</em></a> remake would be <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/20/kitase-final-fantasy-vii-remake-unrealistic-would-take-too-l/">"unrealistic,"</a> <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/2010/02/05/final-fantasy-xiii-producers-traditional-rpg-towns-are-tough-to/">"tough to do in HD"</a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/24/nomura-ffvii-remake-not-happening-for-the-time-being/">"not happening."</a> But hold out hope, die-hards, because during an interview at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/final-fantasy-xiii"><em>FFXIII</em></a>'s launch party, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada finally admitted that the company is "going to explore the possibility" of revisiting the classic RPG. He didn't completely reverse the long-held position, as he says Square Enix has to decide "whether or not we're going to do it, if we're going to do it, and the platform," but he did finally admit that there <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/18/what-if-final-fantasy-vii-came-out-10-years-earlier-and-had-que/">have been a lot of fan requests</a> to see the game in a new form, so he's giving it some solid thought.<br />
<br />
Of course, the huge success of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/23/psn-re-release-of-final-fantasy-vii-downloaded-over-100-000-time/">the game's re-release on PSN</a> probably didn't hurt either. If Square's convinced a remake will sell (and people will play through Gaia yet again, possibly even on yet another platform), we'll probably see it somewhere sooner or later.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/22/square-enix-ceo-were-going-to-explore-the-possibility-of-ffv/">Square Enix CEO: We're 'going to explore the possibility' of Final Fantasy VII remake</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 22 Mar 2010 20:00:00 EST. It seems Sony is attempting to drum up interest in Team Ico's upcoming, Griffin-infused adventure, <em>The Last Guardian</em>, by showcasing its earlier opus to poor, unenlightened folks who missed it the first time around. The opus in question is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/shadow-of-the-colossus"><em>Shadow of the Colossus</em></a>, which, according to <a href="http://teamicogamers.blogspot.com/2009/12/shadow-of-colossus-re-release-next.html">a Team ICO fan site</a>, has been listed by a number of <a href="http://www.enet-japan.com/shop/g/g4948872193351/">Japanese retailers</a> to be reprinted and sold on February 4. Sadly, it didn't get the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/god-of-war-collection"><em>God of War Collection</em></a> treatment -- the game's still on its original platform, the PlayStation 2.<br />
<br />
If you were the speculatin' type, you might think that <em>The Last Guardian</em> would be released not too much later than this reprint, ensuring that the warm, Team ICO-esque feeling would still be fresh in everyone's minds. We're more the wait-and-see types, so we plan on waiting and, shortly after that, <em>seeing</em>.<br />

Here's today's enormous, shocking revelation: The <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/31/god-of-war-collection-coming-to-ps3-this-holiday/">recently announced Blu-ray <em>God of War</em> collection</a> is going to be a whole heck of a lot like its PS2-based counterparts. Aside from a 720p visual boost and perhaps the addition of an HD-friendly HUD and font, the rest of the re-released games will "be the pure experience, what people would have played when they played <em>God of War</em> originally," according to <a href="http://ps3.ign.com/articles/102/1020686p1.html">a recent IGN interview</a> with Sony Santa Monica's director of product development, John Hight.<br /><br />If you're put off by the lack of new features, perhaps <a href="http://playstation.joystiq.com/trophies">your raging Trophy addiction</a> will be cause enough to purchase the Blu-ray collection. Hight confirmed that the two games both contain their own unique sets of trophies, adding that there would "probably" be two prestigious Platinum trophies available for hardcore completionists. We shudder to imagine the amount of dismemberment required to obtain these merits. This is us <em>shuddering</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/02/blu-ray-god-of-war-changes-are-minimal-doubles-up-on-trophies/">Blu-ray God of War changes are minimal, doubles up on trophies</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 02 Sep 2009 11:45:00 EST. Do you think we'll see a beefed-up version of the little white console? There are some issues with it, certainly, but Nintendo has concentrated most of their hardware re-releases to handhelds in the past. <br /><br />If you think we will see a Wii-plus, what do you think it'll have? Storage? DVD playback? Something utterly useless? When will it hit?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/28/wii-warm-up-the-next-big-thing/">Wii Warm Up: The next big thing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 28 Sep 2008 10:30:00 EST. We've yet to hear from Microsoft about details for the title (or a confirmation of the game's existence, for that matter), but as the listing reads "<em>Gears of War</em> with Maps", we can only assume it will contain the Hidden Fronts DLC as well as the Raven Down and Old Bones levels, rather than <a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=SYJjHCZN46U">the hit song by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs</a>. Thanks to the super-low price, <em>Rayman 2: The Great Escape</em>, <em>Brothers In Arms: Road To Hill 30</em> and <em>Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time</em> all made the <a href="http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&amp;ct=110015">ChartTrack top 10</a> for the week despite their age.
