<div align="left">For the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/03/xbla-triplets-are-born-pvn-dodgeball-shred-nebula-gin-rummy/">second week</a> in a row, we're being treated to an <a href="http://gamerscoreblog.com/press/archive/2008/09/08/xblashgismbwl.aspx">Xbox Live Arcade threefer</a>. Because, you know, XBLA twofers are so 2007. And heading to the XBLA this Wednesday, September 10th will be D3Publisher's <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/r/rocketbowlxboxlivearcade/"><em>RocketBowl</em></a>, the SNK Playmore 2D sword fighter <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/s/sshodownIIxboxlivearcade/"><em>Samurai Shodown 2</em></a> and AI Factory's chess-inspired <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/s/shotestshogixboxlivearcade"><em>Shotest Shogi</em></a>. All games will cost 800 Microsoft points except <em>Samurai Shodown 2</em>, which will be available for the oh so nice price of 400 MS points.<br /></div>

<em>Geometry Wars 2</em>. <em>Braid</em>. <em>Bionic Commando</em>. <em>Galaga Legions</em>. <em>Castle Crashers</em>. Truly the "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/summer-of-arcade/">Summer of Arcade</a>." Alas, like every year, summer must come to an end. This time, with a rocket-powered bowling ball. Just as you were beginning to think Microsoft was <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/delisting">done with duds</a>, <em>RocketBowl</em> comes puttering down the lane. Be there to celebrate the fall on September 10th, just 800<img border="0" alt="" src="http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/media/2007/11/microsoftpointslogosmall.gif" /> ($10).<br /><br />[Update: A number of commenters have given thumbs up to the original PC version that "sucks slightly more than <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/peggle"><em>Peggle</em></a>." (Don't answer that.) Ahem, over the weekend, D3 Publisher <a href="http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/17395/RocketBowl-Dated/">announced</a> that their "refreshing twist on a classic sport" <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/rocketbowl"><em>RocketBowl</em></a> will be releasing to the Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, September 10th for 800 Microsoft points. What exactly is <em>RocketBowl</em>? Picture bowling, on 10 crazy courses with ramps and other doodads, Xbox Live multiplayer, equipment upgrades and (of course) bowling balls that are rocket propelled balls of death. Genius! Now only if we could get our hands on one of these rocket-powered bowling balls for some real life pin action. Though, we hear they're illegal in twenty-seven states and all of Europe.<br /><br />[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/25/rocketbowl-scheduled-for-sept-10th-xbla-release/">RocketBowl scheduled for Sept. 10th XBLA release</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Aug 2008 15:15:00 EST. The game has caused quite a stir among <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2007/03/28/puzzle-quest-loved-by-penny-arcade-tossed-aside-by-game-shops/">DS fanboys</a> the world over. If you're not up to speed on the game, suffice it to say that it is a hybrid puzzle game/RPG. No, that's not a joke. It's an RPG in which combat is decided by rounds of <em>Bejeweled</em>. Strange as it sounds, the game has managed to round up some <a href="http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ds/puzzlequestchallengeofthewarlords?q=puzzle%20quest">impressive review scores</a>. What does all of this have to do with the Xbox 360 you ask? Simple, D3 Publisher, publisher of <em>Puzzle Quest</em>, is <a href="http://home.businesswire.com/portal/site/newsnow/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;ndmConfigId=1004992&amp;newsId=20070501005743&amp;newsLang=en">bringing</a> the title to Xbox Live Arcade. They're also behind <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/MadTracks/">Mad Tracks</a></em> and <em>RocketBowl</em> (take that, <em>Wii Sports</em>!). While no official details about the game have been revealed, we can only assume that <em>Puzzle Quest </em>will feature online versus play.<br /><br />Expect to start seeing D3Publisher games on Xbox Live Arcade this year.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/01/d3-brings-puzzle-quest-and-friends-to-xbla/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/01/xbla-goes-puzzle-questing/">XBLA goes Puzzle Questing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 May 2007 17:30:00 EST. D3Publisher has <a href="http://home.businesswire.com/portal/site/newsnow/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;ndmConfigId=1004992&amp;newsId=20070501005743&amp;newsLang=en">announced</a> their plans to bring three titles ("the first of many") to Microsoft's bit-flinging <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/XBLA/">Xbox Live Arcade</a> service: <em>Mad Tracks</em>, <em>RocketBowl</em> (XBLA's first bowling game, they coo), and the addictive matching game <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/puzzlequest/">Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords</a></em>. <br /><br />Of course, <em>Puzzle Quest</em> is what we're really interested in here. We can imagine the XBLA version's HD graphics undoing the cramped constraints of the Nintendo DS release, while the delivery mechanism should bypass the PSP version's awkward loading pauses, and then there's Xbox Live integration for a proper multiplayer experience. Match up these three improvements to form the ultimate (albeit decidedly non-portable) version of <em>Puzzle Quest</em>!<br /><br />[Thanks, <a href="http://news.mygamercard.net/2007/05/01/puzzle-quest-coming-to-xbla-others-announced/">Sherveen</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/01/d3-brings-puzzle-quest-and-friends-to-xbla/">D3 brings Puzzle Quest and friends to XBLA</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 01 May 2007 11:15:00 EST.
