With the sticky fingers! A new raccoon-based simulator to help enhance your craft is coming, and you'll want to pay attention. <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Sly-Cooper-Thieves-in-Time/">Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time</a></em> has been given the less ambiguous release window of "this fall" on PlayStation 3.<br /><br />Though the game is developed by Sanzaru Games and not the franchise's creators at Sucker Punch Productions, it's not in unfamiliar hands.<em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sly-cooper-collection/">Sly Cooper's</a></em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sly-cooper-collection/"> HD</a> debut, which brought the trio of PS2 originals to the PS3, was developed by Sanzaru, and they did a mighty fine job with it.<br /><br />The fourth installment in Sly's universe gives players control of his family tree, throwing players in multiple locales, including ancient Japan. But wait, you ask as you <a href="http://www.ehow.com/how_6631380_rid-raccoons-japan.html">Google the same information</a> as us, weren't raccoons only introduced to Japan in the 1960s? Clearly the game is not as realistic as we thought. But the animals talk, so that makes it <em>slightly </em>more realistic.<br /><br /><em>Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time</em> also features collectible costumes, granting the bandit bold new powers, as well as a continuation of the franchise's open-world design philosophy, according to the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/03/01/hands-on-with-sly-cooper-thieves-in-time">PlayStation Blog</a>.<br /><br />We sure hope Bentley, the wheelchair-bound turtle, isn't jumping through time for this adventure. We're not sure how accessible ancient temples are.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-gamescom-2011-0/">Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (Gamescom 2011)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-gamescom-2011-0/#4371125"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/slycooper18927slyeljefebossbattle01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-gamescom-2011-0/#4371126"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/slycooper18928slyeljefebossbattle04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-gamescom-2011-0/#4371127"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/slycooper18929slyeljefebossbattle06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-gamescom-2011-0/#4371128"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/08/slycooper18930slytaxishop01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/01/sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-stealing-shelf-space-at-retail-this/">Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time stealing shelf space at retail this fall</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Mar 2012 19:30:00 EST. The hat of "Sony Mascot" has been worn by many, many different critters and folk since the days of Crash Bandicoot and, uh, <em>Croc.</em> In fact, Sony's stable of lovable household names is so fully stocked that they've decided to pit their creations against one another to determine <em>who lives and who dies</em>.<br />
<br />
Okay so, that last part might be a little hyperbolic, but the rumor mill is operating at full capacity over <em>Title Fight</em>, a Super Smash Bros.-ish cross-franchise brawler reportedly in development at <a href="http://www.superbotentertainment.com/company.html">SuperBot Entertainment</a>, according to <a href="http://paulgalenetwork.com/home/2011/11/27/superbot-entertainment-is-developing-title-fight-first-screens-james-bond-update-and-more-info-within/">The Paul Gale Network</a>. If rumors are to be believed, the game will feature a cast of Sony-console specific characters like Nathan Drake, Sweet Tooth, Sly Cooper, that guy from Killzone and Fat Princess. Fights will take place in various Sony related locations such as Sandover Village or a golf course from <em>Hot Shots Golf</em>.<br />
<br />
The gallery of images below, which shows Sweet Tooth, a blank female form that may or may not be <em>Heavenly Sword</em>'s Nariko and a debug screen that mentions Kratos, were tweeted (and subsequently deleted) by SuperBot Entertainment's senior level designer Chris Molina. Apparently, this hullabaloo is also what that <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/26/super-secret-public-playstation-commercial-teases-something/">franchise-rich teaser trailer from September</a> was all about, which would also indicate the inclusion of Parappa the Rapper, as well as a representative from FOXHOUND.<br />
<br />
If all this pans out, <em>Title Fight</em> will be the latest in a long, proud history of SCEA-published fighting games like <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Arena_Toshinden"><em>Battle Arena Toshinden</em></a> and <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardinal_Syn">Cardinal Syn</a></em>. We'll keep our ear to the ground for more as this story develops.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/title-fight-leaked-production-photos/">Title Fight (Tentative, Leaked)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/title-fight-leaked-production-photos/#4640218"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/sweettooth_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/title-fight-leaked-production-photos/#4640217"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/potentialnariko_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/title-fight-leaked-production-photos/#4640216"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2011/11/debugmenu_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/28/rumor-sonys-got-a-smash-bros-esque-fighter-in-the-works-featur/">Rumor: Sony working on a Smash Bros-esque fighter featuring Sony all-stars</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 28 Nov 2011 18:40:00 EST. <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-sly-collection/">The Sly Collection</a>, a high-definition bundle of the raccoon's most daring heists, will be available though PSN on November 29. Sanzaru Games president Glen Egan made the announcement deep down in the comments of a <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/11/15/meet-ninja-master-rioichi-cooper-from-sly-cooper-thieves-in-time/">PS Blog post</a> about the upcoming <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/16/sly-cooper-thieves-in-time-adds-rioichi-the-ninja-master-to-the/"><em>Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time</em></a>. The digitally distributed version appears to include everything that was in the retail title, with support for Trophies and stereoscopic 3D.<br />
<br />
Launched as a retail pack last year, the collection can be purchased as a bundle on PSN for $29.99, or as individual games for $9.99 each. The HD collection is currently available on <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sly-Collection-Playstation-3/dp/B003O680RM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1321459377&amp;sr=8-1">Amazon for $19.99</a>.<br />

<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-sly-collection"><em>The Sly Collection</em></a> will be available for five-finger discount beginning November 9. If you're in the mood to actually <em>pay</em> for the thievius raccoonus bundle, which includes <em>Sly Cooper</em>, <em>Sly 2: Band of Thieves </em>and <em>Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves</em>, that'll cost you $40.<br />
<br />
The bundle will also include four new minigames for use with the PlayStation Move controller (or DualShock controller), each focusing on Sly, Bentley, Murray or Carmelita. According to Glen Egan of Sanzaru Games, which handled the port of the PS2 classics, each minigame captures "an aspect of the character and presents it in a way that's great fun to play."<br />
<br />
Beyond all that, the games are presented in widescreen with stereoscopic threeeeeeeee-deeeeeeee. We would have typed "3D" there, but then it just looks like our keyboard broke. With an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/01/a-look-at-ico-and-shadow-of-the-colossus-in-hd/">HD compilation</a> of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ICO"><em>ICO</em></a> and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Shadow-of-the-Colossus"><em>Shadow of the Colossus</em></a> sadly nowhere to be found at E3, we could still find solace in the fact that three of the PS2's best action-platformers -- the <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Sly-Cooper">Sly Cooper</a> </em>trilogy -- are being "remastered" for release on PS3 as <em>The Sly Collection</em>. Sanzaru Games, which last worked with Sony on the PS2 port of High Impact's <em>Secret Agent Clank</em>, is on the case, providing the thieving raccoon in HD, 3D and even the realm of PlayStation Move.<br />
<br />
Sanzaru started out its work on the trilogy with <em>Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves</em>, a game that was originally designed to be in 3D, but ultimately only shipped with select levels playable while wearing retro red-and-blue glasses. For the E3 demo, one of the game's boss fights was chosen, and had me squaring off against my foe in a bamboo forest. It was a good choice -- the green stalks really helped drive home the sense of depth, and the colorful, crisp HD visuals made it one of the better 3D experiences I've had with Sony's console.<br />

You've been waiting for a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/playstation-move">PlayStation Move</a>-based party game featuring <em>Jak and Daxter</em>, <em>Sly Cooper</em>, <em>Ratchet and Clank</em>, and "others," right? <em>Right?!</em> Well good, because Sony dropped news of just such a game this afternoon at it's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/e3">E3 2010</a> press conference. Very little is known about the title -- other than it being one that employs the forthcoming snowball wand -- but we'll be sure to let you know more as soon as we can. For now, take a look at that Jak above, eh? He's a real looker!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/15/heroes-on-the-move-coming-to-ps3-features-list-of-sony-mascots/">Heroes on the Move coming to PS3, features list of Sony mascots</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 15 Jun 2010 15:40:00 EST. The <em>Sly Cooper Collection</em> will be revealed tomorrow as part of the Sony press conference. A blurry image on <a href="http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3179858">1UP</a>, taken at the as-yet-unopened PlayStation booth, not only announces the title but also touts 3D support as one of its key features. An independent source confirmed to Joystiq that <em>Sly Cooper Collection</em> is very much a real thing, and that other PS2 HD remixes are likely to be seen during the show.<br />

Sorry if we got your hopes up, but we couldn't help but highlight Sucker Punch's recent addition to the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/modnation-racers"><em>ModNation Racers</em></a> universe. Using the character creator, the team was able to whip up a <em>Mod</em> recreation of its PS2 mascot, <em>Sly Cooper</em>. While he may not be <em>thieving</em> on PS3 quite yet, we're glad to see Sucker Punch hasn't completely forgotten about the anthropomorphic, rascally raccoon.<br />
<br />
Of course, Sucker Punch couldn't forget to also pay homage to its PS3 hit, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/infamous"><em>inFamous</em></a>. A new "Artist's Spotlight" video for <em>ModNation</em> features a <em>Mod</em> version of Cole MacGrath and his lightning-themed kart. However, more impressive is Sucker Punch's track creation inspired by Empire City, complete with blast crater. With play-testing and careful attention to detail, this addition could undoubtedly be one of the most polished tracks you'll be able to play in the <em>ModNation</em> online community.<br />
<br />
Check out the video after the break.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/26/sly-cooper-makes-glorious-return-in-modnation-racers/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Sly Cooper makes glorious return ... in ModNation Racers</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/26/sly-cooper-makes-glorious-return-in-modnation-racers/">Sly Cooper makes glorious return ... in ModNation Racers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 26 Apr 2010 14:47:00 EST. Those who have access to the early <em>inFamous</em> demo will want to go Empire City's cinema. At the top of the list of fictional titles on display is <em>Sly Cooper 4</em>.<br />
<br />
This where you scream "OMG!" and run around like a man on fire. We'll wait.<br />
<br />
Done? Good. Of course, this tease may be a simple Easter egg, placed to simply stir up fanboy passions. Or, it could be a hint at what's to come ... We'll let you decide in the comments.<br />
