<br />
Until January 20, the Mac and PC versions will be on sale for the same <em>burninating</em> price as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/10/strong-bads-cool-game-gets-attractive-15-price-on-psn/">PSN release</a>: $15 for the whole season. After that, they'll go back up to $30, which is still cheaper than the original WiiWare price of $10 per episode (there are five). You can use that beefy arm coming out of the back of your neck to click over to the <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/trogday">product page</a> on Telltale Games and save some money now.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/14/strong-bads-cool-game-now-on-mac-temporarily-discounted/">Strong Bad's Cool Game now on Mac, temporarily discounted</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 14 Jan 2011 13:50:00 EST. <em>Dear Joystiq,<br />
<br />
Can you recommend any good, cheep adventure games on PlayStation Network?<br />
<br />
With lots of crap,<br />
Brad Butler</em><br />
<br />
Well, Butter Face, as a matter of fact we <em>can</em> recommend a good, "cheep" adventure game on PSN. Check out <em>Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People</em>, which crams in five Strong-Bad-Packed episodes for <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-726">only <em>15 simoleons</em></a> starting <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/08/strong-bads-cool-game-available-for-ps3-people-on-december-21/">December 21</a>. That's half the price of the PC version! Just imagine all the cold ones you could purchase with that extra dough in the pocket of your stale, unwashed jeans. Or maybe you could pay someone to wash your jeans. Seriously, B-man, you should do something about those.<br />
<br />
Yours,<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">Telltale Games has a difficult tightrope to walk, balancing as it does between narrative and gameplay. The studio counts on you being immersed in the universes it creates, but also has to keep all that character from getting in the way of the game it has crafted.</div>
<br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/poker-night-at-the-inventory"><em>Poker Night at the Inventory</em></a> seems to be drenched in the studio's typical humor and likable characters. But it quickly becomes clear that the repetitive dialog is muddying a poker game that was already weak to begin with. In short: Telltale has fallen off the rope entirely.<br />
<br />
At least in <em>Sam &amp; Max</em> there's always the chance of redemption in the next narrative-led mission. In <em>Poker Night </em>... well, there's just the next oddly timed "sandvich" joke.<br />

With Guybrush Threepwood fans <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/11/telltale-games-headed-to-mac-tales-of-monkey-island-out-now/">taken care of</a>, Telltale's adventure game-lovin' enthusiasts have voted <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max">Sam &amp; Max</a></em> as the next title to get Mac-ified. The <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-580">Telltale blog</a> confirmed the choice yesterday, saying that the other two titles up for porting (<em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit">Wallace &amp; Gromit</a></em> and <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad">Strong Bad</a></em>) will be playable on OS X "within the course of this year." Alongside the announcement (which didn't include a release date), the site posted a handful of "propaganda" created by voters to sway others to their side. We've posted one of our faves above, but we suggest checking out the whole lot.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/02/sam-and-max-voted-as-next-telltale-series-for-macs/">Sam &amp; Max voted as next Telltale series for Macs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 02 Mar 2010 14:20:00 EST. Hey, remember that "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/28/report-telltale-porting-its-games-to-mac-hints-at-ipad/">totally unconfirmed" report</a> that stated Telltale would be bringing its whole catalog to the Mac and, furthermore, would be showing off Mac versions of its games at Macworld? You can slide that over to "totally confirmed" now, as Telltale has officially announced that it is indeed <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-572">bringing its titles to Mac OS</a>. The first game to hit the platform will be <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em>, which is actually available for the Mac right now. Telltale is currently asking fans to <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/macgames">decide which game it releases next</a>: <em>Strong Bad</em>, <em>Sam &amp; Max</em> or <em>Wallace and Gromit</em>.<br />
<br />
Perhaps the best part about it all: Telltale also announced that the Mac versions of its games will be free to anyone who already purchased the PC version. Presumably, that also means that those who buy the Mac version will have access to PC versions. Either way, it means a whole new audience for Telltale's games.<br />
<br />
The company will be at Macworld this week, showcasing <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em>. Speaking of which, curious Mac gamers out there can grab the <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/monkeyisland">demo for <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em></a> at the Telltale website (and we suggest you do).<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/11/telltale-games-headed-to-mac-tales-of-monkey-island-out-now/">Telltale games headed to Mac, Tales of Monkey Island out now</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 Feb 2010 16:10:00 EST. According to <a href="http://www.maclife.com/article/news/telltale_officially_launching_monkey_island_and_more_mac_ipad_could_be_next">Mac|Life</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Telltale/">Telltale</a> will begin supporting the Mac platform starting on Febrary 8 with <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tales-of-monkey-island">Tales of Monkey Island</a> -- and, a</em>s what can only be described as a <em>great </em>idea, gamers will be able to download both the Mac and PC versions of Telltale's games for one price. In other words, you won't have to worry about which version you buy, because you'll be getting both. <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em> is to be the first title to receive Mac support, with <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em></a> and <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>Strong Bad</em></a> to follow (supposedly in that order, by the way). Both seasons of <em>Sam &amp; Max</em> should arrive within "several weeks" of <em>Tales of Monkey Island</em>, with the others arriving in the following months, the site writes.<br />
<br />
The report also mentions that Telltale plans to convert its entire catalog -- with the exception of <em>Bone</em> and <em>Texas Hold 'Em</em> -- according to Mac|Life. Its Telltale source declined to confirm if ports are on their way to the iPhone or iPad as well, though he did reiterate Telltale's desire to expand to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/20/telltale-hoping-to-push-content-to-new-consoles-handhelds-and-mac/">as many platforms as possible</a>.<br />
<br />
When reached for comment by Joystiq, a Telltale representative called the report "totally unconfirmed," adding that potential iPhone or iPad support is "total speculation" at this point. According to the Mac|Life report, Telltale will be showing off its Mac titles at the Macworld Expo on February 11, so you can bet we'll be stopping by to find out.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/28/report-telltale-porting-its-games-to-mac-hints-at-ipad/">Report: Telltale porting its games to Mac, hints at iPad</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 28 Jan 2010 18:40:00 EST. If you've been waiting to ride the wave of resurgence the adventure genre has been enjoying, now's the time to wax that board, kick off your flip-flops and hit the water: <a href="http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-528">Telltale</a> has put full seasons of its adventure games on sale. For the low price of one Andrew Jackson (otherwise known as $20), you can snag a full season of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/wallace-and-gromit"><em>Wallace &amp; Gromit</em></a> or <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/review-strong-bads-cool-game-for-attractive-people/"><em>Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People</em></a>. <br />
<br />
Act quickly, though -- the sale ends at 12PM PDT this Monday, November 9.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/11/06/telltale-offering-full-seasons-of-sam-and-max-wallace-and-gromit-s/">Telltale offering full seasons of Sam &amp; Max, Wallace &amp; Gromit, Strong Bad for $20</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 06 Nov 2009 02:00:00 EST. Telltale Games (<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a>, <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>Strong Bad</em></a>) CEO Dan Connors mentioned in a recent <a href="http://gamasutra.com/news?story=23527">interview</a> that <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/wiiware">WiiWare</a> "requires the most planning" of the online console marketplaces. In fairness, though, he explains that all the current console makers' online storefronts attempt to make content relatable to the audience. Connors notes that <em>Strong Bad</em> was "perfect" for Nintendo, which we're sure has a little bit to do with the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/09/telltale-strong-bad-sales-have-doubled-since-sd-card-menu-updat/">enhanced sales</a> after Nintendo's "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/25/walkthrough-using-wii-system-menu-4-0s-sd-card-channel/">storage solution</a>" was introduced. <br /><br />Connors doesn't make any further announcements for Telltale's brand of episodic gaming for the Wii, but he does say that the company will continue to evolve the adventure genre and feels the developer will continue growing the adventure genre for "years to come." A positive sign for more potential Telltale titles on the Wii front, perhaps?<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/11/telltale-talks-episodic-content-on-wii/">Telltale talks episodic content on Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 11 May 2009 12:55:00 EST. Telltale Games sent out a press release claiming that sales of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/review-strong-bads-cool-game-for-attractive-people/"><em>Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People</em></a> series have "more than doubled" since the GDC unveiling of Nintendo's "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/25/walkthrough-using-wii-system-menu-4-0s-sd-card-channel/">storage solution</a>." Telltale didn't specify any numbers -- just that whatever the rate of sales was <em>since</em> GDC is better than whatever the rate was <em>before</em>.<br /><br />"Nintendo's new solution really opens the door for players to add to their collection of downloadable games, which is critical for a series with multiple installments," <span class="il">Telltale</span> CEO Dan Connors said in the press release. <p>With our shelves and Wii fridges creaking under the weight of new games from the holidays, Nintendo has generously given PAL gamers a week to catch their breath -- at least, we <em>think</em> that's the idea. Both WiiWare titles this week probably only appeal to a handful of people. The fifth and final episode of <em>Strong Bad Episode 5</em> is great, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/wii-fanboy-review-8-bit-is-enough/">obviously</a>, but only if you're in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/11/wii-warm-up-did-strong-bad-win-you-over/">teensy minority</a> who grabbed the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/review-strong-bads-cool-game-for-attractive-people/">first four instalments</a>.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, <em>Fun! Fun! Minigolf</em> is allegedly <em>so fun</em> that maker Shin'en felt the need to tell us of its <em>fun-ness</em> twice over. But is a zany-looking chibi minigolf game really the title to stop us from getting our fingers <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/14/wii-fanboy-review-world-of-goo/">gooey</a>? Hint: no.</p>

We're quite happy Eurogamer suggested that Telltale's latest episodic adventure game, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/24/wallace-and-gromit-go-episodic-with-telltale/">Wallace &amp; Gromit's Grand Adventures</a>,</em> could be headed to Wii, because we wouldn't have been able to post about it otherwise, and we're totally excited about it! They seem <em>very</em> confident, even putting a Wii icon in the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/media/2008/12/incaseitchangeswallace.jpg">image</a> on the front page that links to the article.<br /><br />Eurogamer's logic is <em>fairly</em> sound: the game is to be released on PC and <em>some</em> console, so why <em>not</em> the one that Telltale put their last two games, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad/">Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People</a> </em>and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/04/new-trailer-and-screens-for-sam-and-max-season-2/"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a>, on? Especially since <em>Strong Bad</em> has done so well as a WiiWare game.<br /><br />The new game sounds brilliant, combining Telltale's signature humorous puzzle-solving with elements of the classic Aardman series like Wallace's baroque inventions, and bringing more personality and interactivity to NPCs. We suggest you read Eurogamer's preview and set yourself up for potential future disappointment should this end up on N-Gage or something.<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/22/we-hope-this-wallace-and-gromit-preview-becomes-relevant/">We hope this Wallace &amp; Gromit preview becomes relevant</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 22 Dec 2008 19:15:00 EST. Shed a tear, children, for the last and final episode of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>SBCG4AP</em></a> has finally dropped on WiiWare. We found the best way to send the series off was, well, the same way we concluded each previous episode: review it. If you'd like to start at the beginning, we've included a link to the first episode's review below. Also know that we've touched up the older reviews and added buttons for easy navigation from one episode's review to the next. So, feel free to dive right in from the beginning below, or jump to the final episode's review.<br /><br />

We've reached the end of our journey, as <em>SBCG4AP</em> comes to a close with its final episode, <em>8-Bit is Enough</em>. It's a great way to conclude the series and easily the best episode of the bunch. If you're a gamer, then you're going to love the blatant fan service and all of the gaming references within this final episode.<br /><br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/wii-fanboy-review-8-bit-is-enough/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Wii Fanboy Review: 8-Bit is Enough</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/16/wii-fanboy-review-8-bit-is-enough/">Wii Fanboy Review: 8-Bit is Enough</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 16 Dec 2008 14:30:00 EST. Before we get to the actual information, we have to take a moment to give Curtis his promised momentary fame for coming up with the name for this weekly feature. So without further ado:
<div align="center"><u><strong><br />CURTIS!<em><br /><br /></em></strong></u>
<div align="left">Now, with that behind us:<br /><br /><strong>Strong Bad Episode 5: 8-Bit Is Enough</strong> (Telltale Games, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points): In this final (for this season, at least) installment, Strong Bad does battle with Trogdor. Our money's on the dragon with a man's arm.<br /><br /><strong>Big Kahuna Party</strong> (Reflexive Entertainment Inc., 1-4 players, 700 Wii Points): "So, it's a match three game with a few bells and whistles, how much do we think we can get away with charging? Pearson?" <br /><br />"Umm, how about eight dollars?"<br /><br />"Well, let's not go crazy."<br /><br /><strong>Enduro Racer</strong> (Sega Master System, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): We like <em>Enduro Racer</em>, if for no other reason than the title espousing the value of endurance over speed. "Just hang in there," <em>Enduro Racer</em> says, "just hang in there and you'll eventually finish the race." That's the kind of tortoise-beats-hare logic we can get behind.</div>

If you bought the previous four and plan to buy <em>8-bit is Enough</em>, you'll have spent 5,000 Wii points. That's more or less the price of a full game, but the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/11/wii-fanboy-review-strong-bad-episode-1-homestar-ruiner/">reviews</a> suggest that it's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/15/wii-fanboy-review-strong-badia-the-free/">worth</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/28/wii-fanboy-review-baddest-of-the-bands/">the</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/17/wii-fanboy-review-dangeresque-3/">outlay</a>.<br /><br />As <em>Strong Bad</em> is still the only example of episodic gaming on WiiWare, we're curious about how the game fared. Did you buy just the first chapter, only to decide against purchasing future episodes, or will you be picking up all five? And if you've still not acquired a single chunk of this delightful game, did you try the <a href="http://www.homestarrunner.com/dangeresque.html">browser-based sampler</a> we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/03/europe-this-week-looks-dangeresque/">linked to</a> recently? If not, you should -- it's fun ... and <em>free</em>.<br /><br />In fact, let's make this feel official:<br /><br />

Europeans: it <em>looks like you're going to have to jump</em> ... over to the Wii Shop on Friday, in order to download <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/11/sbcg4aps-dangeresque-3-hits-wiiware-this-monday/"><em>Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective</em></a>, the penultimate episode of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sbcg4ap"><em>Strong Bad's Etc.</em></a> According to a press email, and this forum post by Telltale's Emily Morganti, Nintendo sent the company a notice that the adventure game would hit the PAL WiiWare service this week. <br /><br />Obviously, this is good news because <em>Dangeresque 3</em> is a game we <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/17/wii-fanboy-review-dangeresque-3/">loved</a>, and we're happy that you'll get to share in the experience sooner or later. But more importantly, we're thrilled because this release announcement gives us an excuse to link to the browser-based <em><a href="http://www.homestarrunner.com/dangeresque.html">Dangeresque Roomisode 1: Behind the Dangerdesque!</a>,</em> which is a breathtakingly pixel-perfect tribute to vintage adventure games.<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/03/europe-this-week-looks-dangeresque/">Europe: this week looks ... <br />Four new WiiWare titles came down the tubes in Europe and Australia today, and the selection couldn't be more diverse. <span style="font-style: italic;">Art Style: Cubello</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">Strong Bad Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands</span> you'll already know about, but <span style="font-style: italic;">CueSports</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam</span> are more mysterious beasts. This week's WiiWare titles serve as a great example of the best and worst that the service has to offer.<br />
<ul>
    <li><span><em>Strong Bad Episode 4: Dangeresque 3</em> (Telltale Games, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points): Don't be confused by the subtitle, you didn't miss <a href="http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail80.html"><em>Dangeresque 1 </em>and <em>2</em></a>. After three <em>Strong Bad </em>episodes, you know what to expect. This time, dying is not on the menu ... again. <em>Dangeresque 3 </em>was originally set to debut June 2004 in 3D but was delayed for unspecified reasons.<br /></span></li>
    <li><span><em>Target Toss Pro: Bags</em> (</span><span>Incredible Technologies, 1-16 players, 700 Wii Points): It's no <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pong-toss"><em>(Beer) Pong Toss</em></a>, but paying $7 for a game simulating the tossing of a bean bag (known formerly as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bean_bag_toss">Cornhole</a> in parts of the country) is a bit ridiculous, especially when the price of building your own Cornhole game is considerably less. Just because there's some real-life arm swinging involved doesn't mean you can tack on a Wii remote and charge for it.<br /></span></li>

Following the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/11/wii-fanboy-review-strong-bad-episode-1-homestar-ruiner/">first</a>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/15/wii-fanboy-review-strong-badia-the-free/">second</a>, and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/28/wii-fanboy-review-baddest-of-the-bands/">third</a> installments in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>SBCG4AP</em></a>, I found myself wondering if the fourth episode could keep the pace of the first three. And it's pretty evident in the first few moments of the game that this is another episode that is setting the bar for humor a bit higher. Frankly, they gave me the whole tub of popcorn, but I only needed the edge.<br /><br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/17/wii-fanboy-review-dangeresque-3/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Wii Fanboy Review: Dangeresque 3</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/17/wii-fanboy-review-dangeresque-3/">Wii Fanboy Review: Dangeresque 3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 17 Nov 2008 09:55:00 EST. Good news, fans of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sbcg4ap"><em>SBCG4AP</em></a>. Episode 4, <em>Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective</em>, will hit WiiWare this coming Monday, November 17th. If you've not checked out the previous 3 episodes, then you really need to get on that. We've had <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/11/wii-fanboy-review-strong-bad-episode-1-homestar-ruiner/">nothing</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/15/wii-fanboy-review-strong-badia-the-free/">but</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/28/wii-fanboy-review-baddest-of-the-bands/">fun</a> with those episodes and, like many of you, are looking forward to this Monday. <br /><br />Head into the gallery for some images from the upcoming episode, then cruise past the break for a trailer from <em>Dangeresque 3</em>. It's worth it, we assure you. Then (we're so demanding today!), keep an eye on <a href="http://www.dangeresque3.com/">this web site</a> for more <em>Dangeresque 3</em> goodies.<br /><br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/11/sbcg4aps-dangeresque-3-hits-wiiware-this-monday/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>SBCG4AP's Dangeresque 3 hits WiiWare this Monday</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/11/sbcg4aps-dangeresque-3-hits-wiiware-this-monday/">SBCG4AP's Dangeresque 3 hits WiiWare this Monday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 11 Nov 2008 14:32:00 EST. Look at all that <em>majesty</em>. Telltale sent a screen to Wired of the fifth episode of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/28/wii-fanboy-review-baddest-of-the-bands/"><em>Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People</em></a>, featuring what may be the beefy-armiest sight yet for the downloadable episodic adventure game series: <em><a href="http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail58.html">TROGDOR</a>! </em><br /><br />Defying all known limits of the awesomeness that can be safely produced by a video game system, this image seems to show Trogdor the Burninator, who was a man -- I mean, he was a dragon-man ... or maybe he was just a dragon ... taking a <em>starring</em> role in <em>Strong Bad Episode 5.</em> What a way to end the series.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/11/trogdor-burninating-the-final-strong-bad-episode/">Trogdor burninating the final Strong Bad episode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 11 Nov 2008 10:50:00 EST. We've been waiting for the third installment of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>SBCG4AP</em></a> for a little while now, jonesing for a new episode after <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/11/wii-fanboy-review-strong-bad-episode-1-homestar-ruiner/">thoroughly</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/15/wii-fanboy-review-strong-badia-the-free/">enjoying</a> the first two. For myself, this third episode is my favorite, as the combination of a "band off," and what I found to be the best writing in the series so far, have come together and dropped hot, delicious gaming action all over my face. Grab your leopard print pants and Squealin' Larry Limozeen Microphone and head past the break for the full review. <em>Well all right!<br /><br /></em>
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/28/wii-fanboy-review-baddest-of-the-bands/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Wii Fanboy Review: Baddest of the Bands</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/28/wii-fanboy-review-baddest-of-the-bands/">Wii Fanboy Review: Baddest of the Bands</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 28 Oct 2008 15:32:00 EST. Telltale Games has just informed us that the latest episode in the ongoing saga of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/strong-bad"><em>Strong Bad's</em> <em>Cool Game For Attractive People</em></a> has been dated for release on WiiWare this coming Monday, October 27th. If <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/11/wii-fanboy-review-strong-bad-episode-1-homestar-ruiner/">previous</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/15/wii-fanboy-review-strong-badia-the-free/">episodes</a> are any indication, this latest installment in the series is going to be quite fun. Look for it on Monday, where it'll be available for download at the usual price of 1,000 Points.<br /><br />
<br />[Via press release]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/23/rock-out-with-strong-bad-this-monday/">Rock out with Strong Bad this Monday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 23 Oct 2008 19:13:00 EST. The latest episode, <em>Baddest of the Bands</em>, features Strong Bad trying to earn some money by putting together a band and entering them in a competition. However, with a band composed of Homsar and the KOT, he's not likely to become a hundredaire any time soon.<br /><br />After the break, in case you missed it (we did!) the introductory trailer for this episode. While the weekly update to WiiWare normally presents opportunity, this week it's more notable for what you <span style="font-style: italic;">won't </span>be doing. The first thing that's off-limits? Trying to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/14/metareview-strong-bads-cool-game-for-attractive-people-wii/">handle Strong Bad's style</a>. The malicious, masked midget returns this week with <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/search/?q=Strong%20Bad%27s%20Cool%20Game%20For%20Attractive%20People%20Episode%202%3A%20Strong%20Badia%20the%20Free">Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free</a></em> (Telltale Games, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points).<br /><br />The other thing you won't be doing? Having any inkling of what <em>Potpourrii</em> (Abstraction Games, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points) is. Here, from its (unedited) description in the official Nintendo release: <br /><br />"For centuries, the seasons have followed a set pattern. But then things start to go awry in the forest. Suddenly it's snowing while the sun shines and flowers bloom while leaves are falling. Then a strange purple goo appears. The leprechauns are stunned. Even worse, the magic oak of life loses its power. As suspected, today sees <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/12/strong-badia-the-screens/">the release of <em>SBCG4AP's </em>second episode</a>, <em>Strong Badia the Free</em>. What's surprising, however, is the two other games available for download through your Wii. One of them is a WiiWare game <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/01/more-great-vc-news-mega-man-1-2-earthworm-jim-2-rated/">we know little about</a>, and the other is an old NES game about a robotic boy that likes the color blue. <span style="font-style: italic;">OMG what is it?!</span><br /><br />Head past the break and find out!<br /><br />
<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/15/retail-and-download-releases-for-the-week-of-september-15th/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Retail and download releases for the week of September 15th</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/15/retail-and-download-releases-for-the-week-of-september-15th/">Retail and download releases for the week of September 15th</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 15 Sep 2008 08:58:00 EST. No, they aren't predicting the apocalypse or anything, but their future on the Wii seems almost certain. When asked if <em>SBCG4AP</em> sold more on the PC or Wii, they were quick to note that performance on Nintendo's system beat the PC. How was it to work with Nintendo? <br /><br />"Working with Nintendo's been pretty good," commented designer Mark Darin. "All the help that Nintendo's been giving us and allowing us the opportunity to be on WiiWare has been great for our company and great for getting titles like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/26/telltale-dishes-out-new-strong-bad-trailer-screens/"><em>SBCG4AP</em></a> out there to a new audience who maybe isn't used to Adventure games. It's been a great partnership with Nintendo so far." Telltale also goes on to talk about the system's hardware and what challenges that presented, as well as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/sam-and-max"><em>Sam &amp; Max</em></a> on the console. As you all know, we found the first episode to be quite good (although, we never did have our copy <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/12/strong-bad-freezing-take-your-wii-out-of-widescreen-display-mod/">freeze on us</a>), so we're looking forward to this month's new episode. Oh, and along with those lovely screens (check them out in the gallery below), we've also got a new trailer for you above this very post. <br /><br />Did you download the first episode? Enjoy it?<br /><br /><br /><br />
