The above image shows a poster found in ODST, which portrays a planet within close proximity to a large white sphere, with the message "DESTINY AWAITS" scrawled above. The similarities between this image and the recently leaked Destiny concept art is undeniable, especially the title screen-esque image obtained by IGN.

Former Bungie employee and Halo series level designer Vic Deleon has confirmed the connection, exclaiming that the secret had "FINALLY BEEN FOUND!" on Twitter. In light of these events, we've decided to dig even further into the annals of Halo lore by running the entirety of Halo: The Fall of Reach through an anagram construction algorithm and seeing what we come up with. Should that prove fruitless, we'll start decompiling the code for Pathways into Darkness.
Bungie's Destiny was teased way back in Halo 3: ODST originally appeared on Joystiq on Fri, 30 Nov 2012 15:15:00 EST. There's a possibility that the Darksiders 2 tease above is actually referencing Skeletor and/or Glenn Danzig, but we're pretty sure it's that other horseman of the apocalypse, Death. Either way, we're gonna go listen to the Misfits and watch Masters of the Universe for a bit. Just in case.
Darksiders 2's latest tease gets up close and personal with Death originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 12 Dec 2011 13:00:00 EST. Wondering what BioWare's next, unannounced project is? So are we! Game Informer has the exclusive on the first teaser image (seen above), and promises all will be revealed at next month's Spike Video Game Awards show. We've got high hopes that your eyes are sharper than ours, because we're not seeing much here other than the obvious: the dude flying from the car appears to be black, wearing a chain of bullets, and ... uh ... maybe he's being attacked by the smoke monster? Like you, we'll find out when the VGAs air on December 10.
BioWare's next IP teased with Uncharted-esque car flipping action shot originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 07 Nov 2011 12:14:00 EST. As terrified as we are of ghosts, we can't help but find the one in Level-5's just revealed "Yokai Watch" ("Ghost Watch") to be particularly adorable. A brief trailer of the game slash anime slash manga project rolled at the end of the Japanese publisher's "Level-5 Vision" event this evening (early afternoon in Tokyo), teasing out a game where a young boy finds a watch that allows him to see ghost, then befriends a ghost and -- of course -- partners with the apparition to -- what else -- make friends with other ghosts. A tale as old as time, we say.

Level-5 isn't revealing platforms for the game or a launch window just yet, but we're just gonna go ahead and put it all out there right now: today on Jaguar. Boom.
'Ghost Watch' unveiled at Level-5 Vision event originally appeared on Joystiq on Fri, 14 Oct 2011 23:55:00 EST. Lionhead community manager Sam Van Tilburgh recently teased his Twitter followers with a pair of less-than-140-character missives. Tilburgh spent this past weekend "writing storyboard summaries for two new Fable 3 videos," which will apparently "come out when we show Fable 3 for the 1st time at an event next month in SF." Of course, for that second Tweet, we're assuming "SF" stands for San Francisco, and not a much smaller venue, such as "Sam's Foyer."

We're not certain what event Tilburgh is talking about -- it's possible that Lionhead might be planning its own event to introduce the world to the flatulence-simulating technology it's discovered over the past year. Regardless, we're not too far off from seeing more of Fable 3, and that fills us with joy.
As if the wait for Final Fantasy XIII wasn't already difficult enough, Square Enix's assistant PR director, Sonia Im, is making it even more torturous. On her Twitter account, Im teased "something cool most of you can participate in a few days from now" within a mysterious Square Enix memo. Im later added that the memo "eluded [sic] to something stylish." If you squint, the date in the memo seems to be December 17, which would coincide with a PSN update.

It's anybody's guess past that, but we're hoping for a totally magical Final Fantasy-themed fancy dress party for us and a few of our closest friends, set inside PlayStation Home. Can you even imagine?
That, or a demo like the one our Japanese friends already have. Curious as to what Castle Crashers developer The Behemoth has been up to lately? Well too bad, because the team isn't saying. Co-founder and self-proclaimed Best Blogger of 2009 Dan Paladin, however, is teasing on the company's site that they've been prototyping a new game. No other details are provided. Our prediction? It's gonna look like a Flash game.

Last week, Microsoft announced that Castle Crashers was the most popular Xbox Live Arcade game of 2008 and ranked it 17th out of all Xbox LIVE titles. And now you know everything we know about the game, which Renegade Kid's Jools Watsham describes as "the game that I'm most excited about ever in my career."

The studio's owner and game director teased the project in a video posted on his personal blog, noting only his enthusiasm and that the game has nothing to do with Dracula, the rumored subject of an upcoming Wii project from the company. More information about the mysterious project is expected to be released at a later date, though Watsham concedes that it's likely "going to be a while." Until then, we await Renegade Kid to set off on its slightly delayed trip to the Moon on January 13.

[Via DSF]
Continue reading Renegade Kid teases new project

Renegade Kid teases new project originally appeared on Joystiq on Wed, 31 Dec 2008 10:00:00 EST. The delays have gone on for so long that Mac gamers might see this as their personal Duke Nukem Forever. Teases picked up again a month ago, and the game's website uses caps and italics to stress that it'll release "very, VERY soon."

Even if the game never ships, the just-released demo is worth a quick play. It feels almost identical to its Mac gaming canon ancestors, with the same sharp controls. The old sound effects we remember from 1986 and 1987 are back. And while we would have lightly updated some of the basics -- like rats that disappear after being hit with a rock -- the unchanged action holds up surprisingly well.

Look, Return to Dark Castle, stop being such a tease. Even after all these years, your demo makes us miss you again. Drink that picture in ...

After yesterday's shenanigans, we imagine the guys at Microsoft strutting around their various international offices as if they were in a locker room after a big game; lots of high-fiving, butt-slapping, and other telltale indicators of competitive confidence. For example, for the European (and New Zealand ... ean) PS3 launch, they did what any self-respecting mega-corporation would do: Used beer to visually communicate the price difference between their console -- the Xbox 360 -- and their competitor's -- the PlayStation 3. UK-pub CVG received the above stockpile while Auckland, NZ's GamePlanet store got a similar treat (pic after the break). We normally would consider additional games a more appropriate metric when discussing price deltas, but we suppose they wanted to stick with the locker room theme.

Read - MS sends CVG the difference between 360 and PS3... in beer!
