The game will offer four-player online co-op where players can become any of the heroes in a half shell.<br /><br /><em>TMNT: Out of the Shadows</em> appears to be the first in a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/07/activision-and-nickelodeon-team-up-for-3-tmnt-games/">three-game deal</a> between Activision and Nickelodeon. The turtles used to be in the hands of Ubisoft, but that relationship seems to have splintered.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-out-of-the-shadows/">Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-out-of-the-shadows/#5687703"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/tmntoutoftheshadowsscreen1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-out-of-the-shadows/#5687705"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/tmntoutoftheshadowsscreen2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-out-of-the-shadows/#5687706"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/tmntoutoftheshadowsscreen3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-out-of-the-shadows/#5687708"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/03/tmntoutoftheshadowsscreen4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/04/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-out-of-the-shadows-this-summer/">Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows this summer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 04 Mar 2013 15:15:00 EST. Previously in the hands of Ubisoft, the Turtles now rest with Activision thanks to a new multi-year deal inked with the TMNT owner Nickelodeon. The deal will see Activision publish three games based on the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD8g1Yc8v3c">new animated series</a> (pictured), with the first game slated for this summer.<br /><br />No details were offered about the games themselves, including available platforms, though they promise to "take gamers through interactive environments and action-packed adventures that truly capture the essence, tone and exciting elements of the Turtles."<br /><br />Presumably, a lot of Foot Clan soldiers are in for a world of hurt. And Donatello will be the best. Obviously.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/07/activision-and-nickelodeon-team-up-for-3-tmnt-games/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Activision and Nickelodeon team up for 3 TMNT games</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/07/activision-and-nickelodeon-team-up-for-3-tmnt-games/">Activision and Nickelodeon team up for 3 TMNT games</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Feb 2013 13:15:00 EST. Ubisoft is shelling out another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game this year with <em>TMNT: Arcade Attack</em> for DS. As the name implies, the game will feature the arcade-style, beat-em-up gameplay most recently seen in <em><a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/turtles-in-time-reshelled">Turtles in Time</a></em>, but this will be an all-new game. Players take on Shredder (who else?), along with his bebop and rock steady rogue's gallery of baddies, with a friend through local wireless -- or let a turtle-controlling AI buddy help out.<br /><br />If the game's title sounds familiar, it's probably because we heard some rumblings about it <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2009/08/28/rumor-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-set-to-assault-ds-and-dsi/">a week ago</a>. Those attending <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/pax-2009">PAX</a> can play the game in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Bus, located at the convention's entrance. Drop us a line in the comments if you happen to try it out. <br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-arcade-attack/">TMNT: Arcade Attack</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-arcade-attack/#2254962"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/09/2009-09-02_09-46-24_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-arcade-attack/#2254961"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/09/2009-09-02_09-46-24-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-arcade-attack/#2254960"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/09/2009-09-02_09-46-22-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-arcade-attack/#2254959"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/09/2009-09-02_09-46-32_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-arcade-attack/#2254958"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/09/2009-09-02_09-46-30_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/03/tmnt-arcade-attack-assails-ds-this-holiday/">TMNT Arcade Attack assails DS this holiday</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 03 Sep 2009 13:33:00 EST. In the latest dev diary for <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/TMNT-smash-up">Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up</a></em>, the publishing team at Ubisoft discusses the importance of an online mode and what gamers can expect from its new "brawler." We say "brawler" because -- according to the video -- there is a major distinction between a standard fighting title and <em>TMNT: Smash Up</em>.<br /><br />In <em>Smash Up</em>, up to four players can square off, "brawling" in massive free-for-all matches. If the <em>Smash Bros</em>-style of fighting is too hot for you to handle, players can also square off in two-on-two, or (standard fighting game) one-on-one matches. Developed by Game Arts -- a team made up of a slew of former Team Ninja veterans -- <em>TMNT: Smash Up</em> appears to be in good hands. Hands which you can then use to punch your opponent in the face with.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/">TMNT: Smash Up (Wii)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#2129995"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/tmntsmashup_screenshot2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#2129994"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/tmntsmashup_screenshot1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#2129993"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/tmntsmashup_box_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#1317787"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/tmnt_smash_up_wii_screenshot_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#1317786"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/tmnt_smash_up_wii_screenshot_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/31/ubisoft-talks-online-in-new-tmnt-smash-up-dev-diary/">Ubisoft talks online in new TMNT: Smash Up dev diary</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 31 Aug 2009 20:00:00 EST. Heroes in a half-shell news now, as we've got a pair of juicy tidbits dealing with the pint-sized martial arts masters. First, we present <a href="http://www.oflc.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/5b6ebdff7f5b9a24ca2575ca00062226/025aa8426768986cca25761f005d97c9!OpenDocument">this OFLC certification</a> which says that recently released downloadable <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/turtles-in-time"><em>Turtles in Time: Re-Shelled</em></a> is set to grace the DSi. Sadly, we have nothing else to go on but that, though we must say the prospect of yelling "turtle power!" at our DSi on the subway is an appealing one. <br /><br />Our second item is a little more interesting. <a href="http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=94721">GoNintendo</a> points us toward the latest issue of Nintendo Power, which supposedly reveals <em>TMNT: Arcade Attack</em>, a new title for the DS that utilizes the <em>Turtles in Time</em> formula (see: arcade style beat-em-up). GoNintendo says the game "supports 2-player action, allows you to throw enemies at the screen, and even lets you jump-kick enemies...but in a way that doesn't let you spam the move to victory," though we haven't seen the issue ourselves yet to confirm. If you have it, well, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/contact/tips">send us a tip</a>! <br /><br /><a href="http://www.oflc.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/5b6ebdff7f5b9a24ca2575ca00062226/025aa8426768986cca25761f005d97c9!OpenDocument">Source</a> - Turtles in Time: Reshelled OFLC cert [Via <a href="http://www.gamerbytes.com/2009/08/ninja_turtles_getting_reshelle.php">Gamerbytes</a>]<br /><a href="http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=94721">Source</a> - TMNT: Arcade Attack in Nintendo Power<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/28/rumor-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-set-to-assault-ds-and-dsi/">Rumor: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set to assault DS and DSi</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 28 Aug 2009 16:15:00 EST. <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/tmnt-smash-up" style="font-style: italic;">Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up</a> doesn't just remind of another famous Nintendo franchise with the word <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/ssbb"><span style="font-style: italic;">Smash</span></a> in the cover, now it's got the same style of cameos going on. <a href="http://www.thetanooki.com/2009/07/06/rabbids-confirmed-for-tmnt-smash-up/">The Tanooki</a> took note of two different Rabbids that will make an appearance in the melee brawler.<br /><br />The first Rabbid appears to be a standard <span style="font-style: italic;">insanitus bunnykin</span>, while the other is a <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/splinter-cell-conviction">Sam Fisher</a> Rabbid. The characters surely have their own fighting styles and special moves. Rest assured, plummeting <em>Turtles</em> do land. More specifically: <em>TMNT: Smash Up</em> will land on September 22, Ubisoft <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/01/joystiq-live-from-ubisofts-e3-2009-keynote/">announced</a> during its E3 press conference today. A new trailer of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/06/first-tmnt-smash-up-trailer-reminds-us-of-something/"><em>Brawl</em>-made brawler</a> was also on display, featuring our first look at Shredder (eaten by a giant crocodile) and April (now a katana-wielding ninja). If recent news of an <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/01/turtles-in-time-remake-in-development-for-xbla-possibly-psn-and-wiiware/">upcoming remake</a> of arcade classic <em>Turtles in Time</em> wasn't enough to make you scream Cowabunga then, well ... congratulations, you're dead inside. For everyone else, some footage of the game has surfaced and, provided you can keep your breakfast down after the video's shaky-cam style, should give you an early taste of just what to expect.<br /><br /><em>Turtles in Time</em> marks the second Konami oldie lined up for a makeover in as many months, following April's reveal of a new <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/13/vandal-hearts-returns-on-psn-and-xbla/">Vandal Hearts</a></em> for PSN and XBLA. While some of us would have much preferred a remake of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles_(NES_game)">NES original</a> <em>TMNT</em>, given that game's crushing difficulty we doubt many gamers today would have survived that particular ride aboard the Technodrome's wayback machine. <br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.gamervision.com/gamer/coop/news/article/first_footage_of_turtles_in_time_remake">Gamervision</a>; thanks, Fernando]<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/04/cam-footage-of-tmnt-turtles-in-time-remake-spotted/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cam footage of TMNT: Turtles in Time remake spotted</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/04/cam-footage-of-tmnt-turtles-in-time-remake-spotted/">Cam footage of TMNT: Turtles in Time remake spotted</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 04 May 2009 10:00:00 EST. The <a href="http://www.tmnt25.com/road_trip.html">25th Anniversary Tour</a> for <em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles</em> is traveling across the country right now, and reports are rolling in from those lucky enough to stop by one of the locations that a remake of <em>Turtles in Time</em> is currently in development. <br />
<br />
The Alpha build of the game is being demoed on the Xbox 360 throughout the tour, but we're getting reports it could possibly makes its way to PSN and WiiWare as well, though there is no confirmation of that right now. One of our tipsters pointed us to the Twitter account for <a href="http://twitter.com/Hyperfludd">Hyperfludd</a> (who stopped by and snagged some pics), but we've also found <a href="http://ninja-pizza.blogspot.com/2009/05/new-turtles-in-time-game.html">other sources</a> confirming this game's existence. <br />
<br />
<em>Turtles in Time</em> is arguably the best <em>Turtles </em>game ever, so remaking it is definitely a smart idea. Kind of like putting peanut butter on pizza.<br />

<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Ubisoft/">Ubisoft</a> seems to have found its angle for promoting <a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2009/01/26/first-tmnt-shots-packed-with-turtle-power/"><span style="font-style: italic;">TMNT: <span style="font-weight: bold;">Smash </span>Up</span></a>, a "<span style="font-weight: bold;">brawl </span>25 years in the making", even going so far as to use "BRAWL!" and "SMASH!" exclamations in this new trailer.<br /> <br />It's <em>almost</em> -- and this is a stretch, we know -- as if Ubisoft wanted people to be aware of the fact that it's making a character-based fighting game in the style of <em><a href="http://nintendo.joystiq.com/2008/12/23/nintendo-makes-brawl-world-less-colorful/">Super Smash Bros. Brawl</a>, </em>developed by the same company who worked on <em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl,</em> on the same system on which <em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</em> was a hit.<br /><br />We actually find it a little jarring to see <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Arts">Game Arts</a> described as "the dudes that brought you <em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</em>." A party fighting game from "the dudes who brought you <em>Lunar: The Silver Star</em>" wouldn't have the same impact, we suppose.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/06/first-tmnt-smash-up-trailer-reminds-us-of-something/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>First TMNT Smash Up trailer reminds us of something</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/06/first-tmnt-smash-up-trailer-reminds-us-of-something/">First TMNT Smash Up trailer reminds us of something</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 06 Feb 2009 14:43:00 EST. <br />Though it's been out in the open for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/11/nintendo-power-brawl-team-ninja-staff-working-on-new-tmnt-figh/">some time</a>, Ubisoft today officially confirmed development was underway on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/24/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-heroes-in-a-magazine-preview/"><em>TMNT: Smash Up</em></a>. There are only two screens to date, featuring all four turtles doing their green-skinned, katana-wielding<em> thang</em>, but they look really promising (and <em>possibly </em>hint at a 2.5D game?).<br /><br />The combination of '80s nostalgia (fun fact that we refuse to be embarrassed about: we had <em>Turtles</em> wallpaper right up until we moved out of home at 18) and the involvement of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/smash-bros-brawl"><em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</em></a> developer Game Arts will ensure this game won't escape our attention easily. In "shell-ebration" (it says here in the press release) of the 25th anniversary of the world's most fearsome fighting team, the <em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles</em>, Ubisoft has announced a new four-player fighting game that is "not tied to a TMNT movie, television show or comic book." Instead, as indicated by the incredibly subtle subtitle, <a href="http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2009/01/24/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-heroes-in-a-magazine-preview/"><em>TMNT: Smash Up</em></a> will share ties with Nintendo's absurdly popular <em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</em>. In fact, if the staff of Game Arts -- developer of both games -- dress formally at work, the ties shared will be quite literal.<br /><br />Sensing that a few screenshots depicting the titular turtles (including the one who does machines and the one who is a party dude) may not satiate everybody, Ubisoft encourages interested parties to check out the January issue of <em>Nintendo Power</em> for more information. Meanwhile, look for <em>TMNT: Smash Up</em> to arrive during Fall 2009 and cause fighting purists to complain about "turtling" in a whole new way.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/">TMNT: Smash Up (Wii)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#2129995"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/tmntsmashup_screenshot2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#2129994"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/tmntsmashup_screenshot1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#2129993"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/07/tmntsmashup_box_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#1317787"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/tmnt_smash_up_wii_screenshot_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/tmnt-smash-up-wii/#1317786"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/01/tmnt_smash_up_wii_screenshot_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/26/and-theyre-green-tmnt-smash-up-announced-for-wii/">And they're green! We're calling shotgun on Krang.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/24/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-heroes-in-a-magazine-preview/">Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Heroes in a Magazine Preview</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 24 Jan 2009 14:30:00 EST. As Scientology teaches us, benevolent aliens are some day going to land on planet Earth and deliver unto us the Usagi Yujimbo Wii game that we all deserve. Until that glorious day, it looks like we'll be able to make due with a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.5 dimensional fighter in development at Ubisoft.<br /><br />Sure, it's a licensed game (though not based on any specific movie or show) but it's also got an impressive pedigree, with Nintendo Power reporting a dev team that includes <em>Smash Bros. Brawl</em> and Team Ninja vets. Oh, and it reportedly supports four players and online action. We're not quite at "Cowabunga!" level excited yet, but <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvvJvXGydww">super mutation</a> could deifinitely put us over the edge.<br /><br />We'll keep an eye out for more details.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2008/12/11/nintendo-power-brawl-team-ninja-staff-working-on-new-tmnt-figh/">NWF</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/11/new-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-fighter-coming-to-wii/">New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fighter coming to Wii</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 Dec 2008 15:15:00 EST. Well. Here's some profoundly bizarre, slightly awesome news out of the latest issue of <em>Nintendo Power</em>: Ubisoft is planning a new <em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles </em>fighting game. Not to go along with a movie, cartoon, or comic -- just <em>because.</em> This project is going to involve staff from <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/29/hackers-give-brawl-cast-a-change-of-clothes/"><em>Super Smash Bros. Brawl</em></a> (maybe Game Arts people?) as well as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/16/rumor-team-ninja-following-itagaki-out/">Team Ninja expats</a>. That's all we can confirm, given our non-possession of the magazine.<br /><br />But <em>some guy</em> on the IGN boards (which require a login, so check the GoNintendo reproduction <a href="http://gonintendo.com/?p=65881">here</a>) went on to (probably) summarize the article, revealing the game to be a 2.5d, four-player fighting game with online play. Hey, we like those -- especially when they feature beloved characters from our youth! Although we <em>don't</em> like <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tournament_Fighters"><em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles </em>fighting games</a> (well, the SNES one was okay, and the NES one was technically impressive). According to the IGN poster, Ubisoft is shooting for a September release. <em>Bossa nova!</em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/11/nintendo-power-brawl-team-ninja-staff-working-on-new-tmnt-figh/">Nintendo Power: Brawl, Team Ninja staff working on new TMNT fighter</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 11 Dec 2008 11:00:00 EST. <br /><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/promotionalconsideration">Promotional Consideration</a> is a weekly feature about the Nintendo DS advertisements you usually flip past, change the channel on, or just tune out.<br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters</span> for the Genesis was not a game I actually purchased, as our family was one of little means, and I knew better than to let money go to waste. It was loaned to me by a "friend" in exchange for <span style="font-style: italic;">The Ren &amp; Stimpy Show: Stimpy's Invention</span>, a deal which my pal falsely assured me I was getting the better end of.<br /><br />The trade wasn't meant to be permanent -- that was explicitly stated in the contract -- but my business associate suddenly moved away, <a style="font-style: italic;" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/spanish-for-everyone">Spanish For Everyone</a>-style. Except in my case, I didn't have a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/07/they-dont-call-me-gina-vasquez-for-nothing/">sultry Spanish aunt</a> offering to teach me "many things." Also, I learned nothing from the experience.<br /><br />But before we reminisce about terrible games and the bad decisions I've made in my life, let's discuss this week's Promotional Consideration topic: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fruit Snacks.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/27/promotional-consideration-sewer-snacks/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Promotional Consideration: Sewer snacks</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/27/promotional-consideration-sewer-snacks/">Promotional Consideration: Sewer snacks</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 27 Jan 2008 17:00:00 EST.
