The game has yet to be announced for release worldwide, but it's a Pok&eacute;mon game, so you should expect it.<br /><br />The second series of toys includes Eevee, Mewtwo, Croagunk, Zoroark, Litwick, and Genesect, and one secret unannounced Pok&eacute;mon. The NFC figures add playable characters to the game, much in the style of Skylanders. <br /><br />In the Pok&eacute;mon Rumble/Scramble games, all of the playable Pokemon are actually wind-up toy Pok&eacute;mon - which means these figures are toy versions of toys.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/15/pokemon-scramble-us-second-line-of-nfc-toys-dated/">Pokemon Scramble U's second line of NFC toys dated</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 15 Apr 2013 11:45:00 EST. ThreeA revealed the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/29/threea-toys-unveils-prototype-portal-2-and-metal-gear-solid-2-st/">prototypes</a> for Atlus and P-Body last year, as smooth, gray statuettes. Now, the figures have a dinged-up coat of paint and classy lens details, along with a pair of Portal guns, and they're looking fly.<br /><br />ThreeA showed off the new prototypes during an event in Taiwan, as spotted and photographed by <a href="http://www.tomopop.com/3a-s-atlas-and-p-body-appear-after-a-year-in-hiding-29874.phtml">Tomopop</a>. It's still unclear if Atlas and P-Body will include any LEDs or flashier add-ons, or when they'll be available for collectible consumption.<br /><br />In other video game toy news, ThreeA announced a partnership with Capcom to make mecha figures straight out of Lost Planet. Check out Tomopop's gallery of the ThreeA show <a href="http://www.tomopop.com/3a-s-atlas-and-p-body-appear-after-a-year-in-hiding-29874.phtml">here</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/07/portal-2s-atlus-and-p-body-get-fresh-filthy-coats-of-paint-fro/">Portal 2's Atlas and P-Body get fresh, filthy coats of paint from ThreeA</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 07 Apr 2013 19:30:00 EST. Just down below, we've compiled a few galleries of the video game-related toys on display for you to browse through at your leisure.<br /><br />Thrill, for example, at <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/bioshock-infinite-motorized-patriot-action-figure/">the newly revealed Motorized Patriot figure</a> from <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/bioshock-infinite"><em>Bioshock Infinite</em></a>. Gaze upon the (still boxed!) figures from <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/batman-arkham-city"><em>Batman: Arkham City</em></a>, including Talia, Deadshot, and Bats himself. Or if full-sized replicas are more your thing, you can see some closeup shots of the <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/gears-of-war-taxi-lancer"><em>Gears of War Judgement</em></a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/gears-of-war-judgment-taxi-lancer-replica/">"Taxi Lancer,"</a> as seen above. Sure, your significant other may exclaim that you're too old to play with these toys, but they didn't say you couldn't look through a few galleries of them, right?<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/11/toy-fair-2013-features-such-wonderful-toys/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Toy Fair 2013 features such wonderful toys</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/11/toy-fair-2013-features-such-wonderful-toys/">Toy Fair 2013 features such wonderful toys</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 11 Feb 2013 23:59:00 EST. Diamond Select wasn't at liberty to share the names of the characters but suggested that the figure with the hood was a type of priest.<br /> <br /> The Art Asylum-designed figures excellent details, right down to Captain Conrad's chiseled eyebrows and five o'clock shadow. Each figure comes with accessories. The basic Lara Croft has a more generic hatchet, while the battle damaged, mud soaked Lara Croft has the stylized hatchet we've seen from <em>Tomb Raider</em> concept art. The Molotov cocktail scavenger comes with just that - a Molotov cocktail. The second scavenger had a shield and an iron mask. The designs are still pending licensor approval.</div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/11/tomb-raider-minimates-debut-at-toy-fair/">Tomb Raider Minimates debut at Toy Fair</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 11 Feb 2013 18:00:00 EST. Figures are six inches tall, give or take, and feature an average of 25 points of articulation. No word yet on when subsequent series will be released or what other characters will be part of this initial run. Now you can own two of those characters, Elizabeth and one of the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/20/bioshock-infinites-boys-of-silence-are-awfully-loud-also-te/">Boys of Silence</a>, both made by the video game toy gurus at NECA.<br /><br />The Elizabeth and Boys of Silence figures are available in the <a href="https://store.irrationalgames.com/Category.aspx?c=Collectibles">Irrational Games store</a> for $20 each or $35 as a set. Irrational also added lithographs of the Handyman, Elizabeth and Songbird, and Charles, each for $25 or $65 for the trio. A limited edition trio includes signatures from Irrational creative director Ken Levine and artist Robb Waters, running $150.<br /><br />NECA's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/02/bioshock-infinite-sky-hook-replica-now-up-for-pre-order/">Sky-Hook replica</a> will also hit the Irrational Games store "soon," in a limited quantity. It's not safe for too much awesomeness to exist in one online retailer, after all.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/06/gaze-into-the-eyes-ear-horns-of-these-bioshock-infinite-figures/">Gaze into the eyes, ear horns of these BioShock Infinite figures</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 06 Feb 2013 23:59:00 EST. Valve and NECA's shiny new <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/team-fortress-2">Team Fortress 2</a></em> figures follow a somewhat similar theme, though they typically prefer to be on the giving end, rather than the receiving. <br /><br />Available at Toys 'R' Us, Amazon or <a href="http://store.valvesoftware.com/product.php?i=FTF202">directly</a> from <a href="http://store.valvesoftware.com/product.php?i=FTF204">Valve's own store</a>, both Demo and Pyro figures measure 7 inches tall, feature 25 points of articulation, include codes for in-game goodies, are individually numbered (1 to 10,000) and cost about $22.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/team-fortress-2-demo-and-pyro-figures/">Team Fortress 2 (Demo &amp; Pyro figures)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/team-fortress-2-demo-and-pyro-figures/#5604493"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/pyro2rgb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/team-fortress-2-demo-and-pyro-figures/#5604494"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/demo2rgb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/30/team-fortress-2-demo-and-pyro-action-figures-now-available/">Team Fortress 2 Demo and Pyro action figures now available</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 30 Jan 2013 08:00:00 EST. Disney's been working on a new gaming "platform," designed to bring all of its properties together in one IP spanning across multiple consoles and outlets. But the one note we missed was the most important: this game is connected to a series of real toys that interact with Disney's digital worlds, <a href="http://joystiq.com/game/skylanders"><em>Skylanders</em></a>-style.<br /><br />There are a few important differences, but the similarities between Activision's enormously popular toys-into-games platform and Disney's new <em>Infinity</em> initiative are quite striking. Both are inspired by smaller developers with big ideas: Toys for Bob on the Activision side, and Avalanche Software on Disney's, which developed the "Toy Box" idea in a much smaller form as part of the <em>Toy Story 3 </em>game. Both are big, expandable product lines with lots of options for console (and eventually mobile) titles, and both take retail-friendly physical toys and tie them directly into engagement-friendly video game experiences.<br /><br />Oh, and both franchises are probably going to make their owners lots and lots of money.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/disney-infinity/">Disney Infinity</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/disney-infinity/#5575093"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/disneyinfinity-screen-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/disney-infinity/#5575094"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/disneyinfinity-screen-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/disney-infinity/#5575095"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/disneyinfinity-screen-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/disney-infinity/#5575096"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/disneyinfinity-screen-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/disney-infinity/#5575097"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/disneyinfinity-screen-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/16/disney-reaches-into-the-toy-box-with-the-new-infinity-platform/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Disney reaches into the Toy Box with the new Infinity platform</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/16/disney-reaches-into-the-toy-box-with-the-new-infinity-platform/">Disney reaches into the Toy Box with the new Infinity platform</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 16 Jan 2013 12:15:00 EST. Test subjects can choose between "Wheatley" and "Spaaaaaaaaaace" color palettes, though neither sphere appears to be <em>truly</em> sentient and/or inherently evil either way. Available on November 8, the new line includes Master Chief, both red and blue Spartan Warriors, as well as the unbelievably cute Cortana figure seen above.<br /><br />Seriously, it's like if Betty Boop were a hyper-intelligent, holographic artificial intelligence from the future. It also includes a display stand, which will be helpful if you're the first type of person we mentioned above. Wave two, said to release sometime in February, pits Chun-Li vs. Hwoarang, Abel vs. Kazuya, Ryu vs. Yoshimitsu and Rufus vs. Julia, all of whom can be seen <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/08/25/street-fighter-x-tekken-minimates-coming-this-fall/#continued">after the break</a>. That is to say the dude on the <em>Skyrim</em> box (as seen in the art above), not <em>your</em> Dragonborn. The figure is available for pre-order now at $9.99 and will ship later this month. If made, the kit would come with four knights, two barbarians, a forest set piece and the War Machine mini-boss. It's also difficult to tell whether this RAY model is the manned version created by the Marines, or the unmanned mass-produced model designed by the Patriots. Either way, we desperately want these things adorning our various fireplace mantels as soon as humanly possible. Check out high-resolution shots of all three statues in the gallery below.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/">ReVenture Statue Prototypes</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/#4992776"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/metalgearrayprototypefigure_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/reventure-statue-prototypes/#4992777"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/04/portal2prototypefigures_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/29/threea-toys-unveils-prototype-portal-2-and-metal-gear-solid-2-st/">ThreeA Toys unveils prototype Portal 2 and Metal Gear Solid 2 statuettes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 29 Apr 2012 22:00:00 EST. Other Hot Toys figurines retail for upwards of $150 each.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/24/new-mgs3-snake-and-boss-toys-prepare-for-climactic-battle/">New MGS3 Snake and Boss toys prepare for climactic battle</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 Apr 2012 19:00:00 EST. It lights up in both orange and blue, and makes appropriate <em>Portal</em>-y sounds! In short, the toy does everything you'd want a <em>Portal</em> gun to do ... except for the one thing you'd want an actual <em>Portal</em> gun to do.<br /><br />NECA notes on its <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/NECA_TOYS/status/185086376600023040">Twitter page</a> that pre-orders in the US are currently sold out, but "other opportunities" are coming. Perhaps you should keep an eye on that Twitter page for your next chance to get in a clicking race with other ravenous Valve fans.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/28/watch-the-toy-portal-gun-do-its-thing/">Watch the toy Portal gun do its thing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 28 Mar 2012 18:00:00 EST. Many a night have been spent fantasizing about somehow owning our own without taking out a second mortgage, and now the dream can finally become a reality.<br /><br />Well, not <em>now</em> now, but in a few months. NECA Toys is developing a line of licensed Valve products that include <em>Team Fortress 2</em>, <em>Half Life</em> and <em>Left 4 Dead 2</em> action figures, but the crowning jewel of the series is NECA's one-to-one scale ASHPD replica. <em>It lights up and everything</em>. Several new partnerships will ensure <em>Cut the Rope</em>-branded products are in your local brick-and-mortar soon.<br /><br />A new board game that mimics the gameplay of the app will launch from Mattel, along with digitally enhanced toys that interact with your device. An example given details an OmNom toy interacting with an iPad to unlock a special <em>Cut the Rope</em> app. Jakk's Pacific will produce a plug-and-play game console for your TV. It will come with a special controller to play <em>Cut the Rope</em> on your TV.<br /><br />Finally, there will also be a new update for <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/05/portabliss-cut-the-rope-experiments/"><em>Cut the Rope: Experiments</em></a> that introduces a new character and new physics, and adds water-based puzzles into the mix. No word on when the update will launch as of right now -- ZeptoLabs is waiting on Apple approval right now for <em>Bath Time</em>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/13/cut-the-rope-inks-toy-deal-getting-bath-time-content-update-s/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cut the Rope inks toy deal, getting 'Bath Time' content update soon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/13/cut-the-rope-inks-toy-deal-getting-bath-time-content-update-s/">Cut the Rope inks toy deal, getting 'Bath Time' content update soon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 13 Feb 2012 16:00:00 EST. The first products will hit store shelves sometime this fall, and while no specifics toys or board games have been announced we've got a feeling that <em>My Little Ponyville</em> and <em>Ouija With Friends</em> aren't that unlikely.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/11/hasbro-and-zynga-make-a-deal-toys-and-games-incoming/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hasbro and Zynga make a deal, toys and games incoming</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/11/hasbro-and-zynga-make-a-deal-toys-and-games-incoming/">Hasbro and Zynga make a deal, toys and games incoming</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 11 Feb 2012 01:45:00 EST. Today, Activision and developer Toys for Bob have revealed that <em>Skylanders: Giants</em> is actually a full sequel to the game released last year. Alongside the new game come brand new figures to collect and, as the name implies, they are much larger than the toys released so far.<br /><br />Specifically, eight new characters will be released, all of them "more than twice the size" of normal Skylanders both out of the box and inside the game world itself. New figures will also feature integrated lights that illuminate when a character is placed on or near the Portal of Power. Finally, <em>Skylanders Giants</em> will be compatible with previous Skylanders figures and, what's more, figures will retain all the stats earned in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/skylanders-spyros-adventure"><em>Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure</em></a>.<br /><br /><em>Skylanders Giants</em> will officially debut at the American International Toy Fair later this month. Presumably, we'll have more details, including a price <strike>and release date</strike>, by then. A Skylanders event is about to take place in New York, we should have more details and media shortly.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> We've added a new trailer and galleries of screenshots and the new figures. The new Figma Samus Aran action figure, due out in Japan this June, easily earns a rating of "thumbs up" by our standards. The 150mm (roughly 6") figure, modeled on Samus's appearance in <em>Metroid: Other M</em>, includes a base, two "beam effect" accessories, five alternate hands, and even a Morph Ball version of Samus.<br /><br />If you have a shelf you'd like to keep Space Pirate-free, you can pre-order your own mini-Samus from toy importer <a href="http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=FIG-IPN-3175">AmiAmi</a> for around $36. While you're at it, you can also pre-order this less posable, less clothed <a href="http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=FIG-IPN-3176&amp;page=">Zero Suit Samus</a> statuette. If you're into that kinda thing, that is.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/24/samus-morphs-into-an-incredible-action-figure/">Samus morphs into an incredible action figure</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 24 Jan 2012 20:30:00 EST. The cheap-toy twist-knob machines lining grocery stores and movie theaters across the western world don't contain Zelda figures, which makes them more proof that Japan is way cooler than everyone else, ever. Takara Tomy Arts is offering six gashapon figurines direct from Japan, including characters from <em>The Wind Waker</em>, <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time"><em>Ocarina of Time </em></a>and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword"><em>Skyward Sword</em></a>. Import specialist NCS is taking <a href="http://www.shopncsx.com/zeldafigure.aspx">pre-orders</a> for the collection, dubbed the Zelda Figure Collection, for shipment in April.<br />
<br />
For $30 you can get two tiny Links, a Tetra, Zelda, child Link and child Zelda. Even with import costs, it's much cheaper than a plane trip to Japan and the 100-yen coins you'd have to spend on cool toy capsules.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/05/put-these-cute-zelda-figures-from-japan-in-your-pocket/">Put these cute Zelda figures from Japan in your pocket</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 05 Jan 2012 02:00:00 EST. Another platoon of <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/halo-reach"><em>Halo: Reach</em></a> action figures from McFarlane Toys is set to be deployed to a toy store near you. Microsoft has revealed the Series 6 figurines, which include new individual Carded Figures and Deluxe Boxed Sets, will be available in February 2012.<br />
<br />
New individual figures include Noble Team members Kat and Jun, an Elite Zealot, Brute Major and the Team Objectives set seen above. Finally, Kat can live forever in both our hearts <em>and</em> our toy display case!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/29/mcfarlanes-sixth-halo-reach-action-figure-series-drops-in-febr/">McFarlane's sixth Halo: Reach action figure series drops in February</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 29 Dec 2011 23:00:00 EST. Other than coconuts, we mean. Halfbrick Studios is making a claim on more of your money, after some admittedly reasonable financial demands from the <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/fruit-ninja"><em>Fruit Ninja</em></a> series. The developer has opened a store offering two themed plush toys, which include the cutest watermelon you've ever forcibly bisected, and a happy Sensei whom you can pretend is performing said cut.<br />
<br />
In the US, the Sensei sells for $16 (or 16 times the price of a copy of <em>Fruit Ninja</em>), the Watermelon for $15 (1.5 <em>Fruit Ninja Kinects</em>), and a "Training Pack" of both for $30. The Sensei is available now, but that adorable melon is shipping in mid-January.<br />
<br />
We may sound as if we're giving Halfbrick a hard time for cashing in on <em>Fruit Ninja</em>, but we're happy for the developer. The games have been universally worthwhile, and the toys are undeniably huggable. Besides, Halfbrick has to raise money to save the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/20/ea-confirms-closure-of-visceral-melbourne-reaffirms-support-for/">Australian</a> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/13/australian-indie-from-ratings-systems-to-a-boom-of-small-studio/">game industry</a>, pretty much single-handed.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/06/fruit-ninja-plushies-prove-its-possible-to-milk-fruit/">Fruit Ninja plushies prove it's possible to milk fruit</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 06 Dec 2011 12:00:00 EST. The available albums include the Japanese <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sonic-the-hedgehog-cd-original/id481138176">soundtrack</a> to <em>Sonic CD</em>, featuring a couple of new arrangements by Crush 40; <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sonic-adventure-original-soundtrack/id481138779"><em>Sonic Adventure 1 </em></a>and <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/supporting-me-...for-biolizard/id481136982?i=481137062&amp;ign-mpt=uo%3D4"><em>2</em></a> collections for rainbow followers; <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/sonic-heroes-original-soundtrack/id481145508"><em>Heroes</em></a>; and a collection of "greatest hits" called <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-best-of-crush-40-super/id481140520">Super Sonic Songs - The Best of Crush 40</a>. Sega even announced two non-Sonic-related projects from series musicians: "<a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/song-of-hope-single/id481140360">Song of Hope</a>," a charity single by Crush 40, and an <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-works/id481144307">album</a> of performances by composer Jun Senoue. Ever wanted to hear a Sega musician from Japan play "The Star-Spangled Banner" on guitar? You do now!<br />

Because we wanted a nice image for the header of this post, and because we haven't had an excuse to talk about this yet, the image above is Good Smile Company's <a href="http://www.tomopop.com/sonic-nendoroid-is-up-for-pre-order--22359.phtml">Nendoroid Sonic the Hedgehog figure</a>, coming out in Japan next April. It's <em>amazing</em>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/01/spin-dash-to-itunes-for-downloadable-sonic-soundtracks/">Spin-dash to iTunes for downloadable Sonic soundtracks</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 01 Dec 2011 18:40:00 EST. In honor of <a href="http://halo-combat-evolved-anniversary"><em>Halo Anniversary</em></a>, Master Chief and friends are being remastered again, this time as a new series of Minimates toys. The new "Series 4" includes Cortana, Master Chief, Jacob Keys, and the Prophet of Truth. The Master Chief toy even comes with an even mini-er Cortana!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/21/halo-anniversary-inspires-new-set-of-minimates-toys/">Halo Anniversary inspires new set of Minimates toys</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 21 Sep 2011 23:00:00 EST. At some point in the future, you'll be able to lay out your own randomly generated <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/spelunky"><em>Spelunky</em></a> adventures on your desk -- or just stare at some adorable round noses. Developer Derek Yu worked with his father to produce a line of "Spelunky Minis" toys, based on the characters in the upcoming XBLA remake of the PC platformer.<br />
<br />
The toys will be blind-boxed, and offered for sale "pretty soon." There's no word whether a full set will be offered for sale instead of having to randomly collect them, but ... there had better be. And if you're concerned about the effect this has had on the currently unknown release date of the game, Yu said " don't worry, we're still working hard on the game - all day, every day! But this was a nice side project."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/23/indie-xbla-game-spelunky-begets-indie-spelunky-minis-toy-line/">Indie XBLA game Spelunky begets indie 'Spelunky Minis' toy line</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 23 Aug 2011 02:59:00 EST. Street fighting is serious business, but even the single-minded Ryu can't be <em>serious</em> all the time. This is especially true when he's made out of vinyl and absolutely <em>adorable</em>. Just look at Dhalsim and his cute little Yoga Fire!<br />
<br />
Standing at 3 inches tall, all twelve of the original <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/street-fighter-2"><em>Street Fighter 2</em></a> characters are represented in the Kidrobot collection, including some alternate costume colors. You can check out more images at the <a href="http://www.kidrobot.com/Toys/MiniFigures/StreetFighterMiniSeries3Inch.html">Kidrobot website</a>. While you're there, see if you can avoid hitting that big, friendly "buy" button.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/15/these-street-fighter-figures-will-pummel-your-heart/">These Street Fighter figures will pummel your heart</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 15 Jul 2011 00:00:00 EST.
